thanks for the advice sean vance. Sometime this week or next week i'll go asking around for prices. Ive seen alot of auto body collision places around where i live, so im assuming they can do repaints. I really want a whole new color, but to that guy who said he was quoted 2k-3k, I may have WANTED to get my car repainted a different color too :D :P

I got some money back from the insurance company for an accident that occured a while ago. Nothing bad really happened to the car, I just have to replace the drivers side high beam. The front bumber has just been scracthed up. After I buy a replacement light, i'll have like $1,000 left. How much does a paint job in a new color usually cost? I'm not sure if I have enough money so thats why im wondering. I see places like maaco advertise on TV, but I heard peple say their paint is crappy.

Im not going to to do this project yet though until maybe next month when i get time, could you tell me where can i find the materials for it like heat shield insulation.

Even though I would like to hear that a lexus beat that acura, I dont think you can beat him because his car is lighter, and its quicker too especially if he has the 6 speed manual. Just remember though, the SC has more class than that car :D

The other day I was looking itno purchasing an intake for my car and read the forums on here and saw that most people said stay away from those aftermarket intakes for various reasons. So I decided I too would stay away from those intakes such as the Injen. Then I started reading about the BFI and everyone said it was a good idea. I went to the plantesoarer.com website and checked out how it was done and made and I would like to try this project on my car. My car is a 1995 SC300, my questions are how would this affect my gas mileage, will I get less miles per gallon? and how much power can I really expect from this modification since my car is 6 cylinders?. Also how would it affect the engine life? I would really appreciate any help to my questions.

Thats not a bad idea, but where would I get an ES300 cd changer, and if I do get it from the dealer I know that will cost a fortune. So theres no aftermarket CD changer that would work in this car?

I can hear normal CD's that are bought from a store just fine, but the CD-R's and CD-RW dont work, they start skipping tracks and songs. The CD changer in general skips alot when theres bumps. I know that some of the store bought CD changers dont use the R/F, would the non R/F type install in the pre existing wiring?

The sound system in my 1995 SC300 is the "lexus premium" system, so I believe thats all pioneer right. Well that factory CD Changer in the trunk works fine in my car except for 2 problems. 1st problem is it cant read copied CD's or CD-R's well at all. The 2nd problem is that it skips alot when the car goes over a bump. Is there any way to fix these problems? or is there anyway to simply remove that CD changer and install one bought from a electronics store? I'll greatly appreciate any help or advice.

Can anywhere out there tell me how to remove the backseat in my 95 SC300? I dont really have to remove it completely, just a little so I can pass an 8 guage power cord to the trunk.

126.01 ?? thats alot of money. Howcome Haynes didnt make any books for the SC300? For the member who said the dealership and himself has a manual, is yours a complete manual and when will it be ready and for how much?
