  1. 150000 but i had to buy a new tranny at about 100000 cause i broke the first one.
  2. ok tomarrow will do a drain and refill, but if that doesnt fix it then what? i have never heard of a car that took a lil engine rev to get into reverse.
  3. i noticed today in the 100deg weather that my car was shifting sloppy and didnt wanna go in reverse. now i was driving at an elevated rate compared to most, and i also noticed that: i was doing 40 in o/d and hit the switch to go into 3rd (drive) and my tach just dropped to idle for about 5 sec, then it felt like somthing caught and it went into gear. and the i let it set for about 5 minutes started it up, threw it in revese and touched the gas and nothing happened, it just reved, then it felt like somthing went into place and it worked fine, did i over heat my tranny? i have noticed after a lot of shifting it doesnt like to instantly kick in reverse it hesitates. also still have a poping the front right, i have changed the strutm ball joint allthe control arm bushings, i am thinking it is the sway bar endlink or bushing.
  4. yeah, I can't figure this one out. Manufacturers tell you not to turn HIDs on and off quickly and freguently, yet they engineer them to light up when you use the "flash to pass" function. go figure. steivej Do you mean they work fine or do you mean im going to mess up my ballasts flashing the bulbs? Sorry im still a youngster lol the bulbs have salt in them and when the bulbs lightthe salt heats up and that is what produes the color output, with out the salts they would be very dim. ans when u turn the bulb off it takes a few minutes for the bulbs too cool, if not properly cooled and u turn them backl on it will flash red, and the bulb life is shortened with each red flash, the ballast send to much power to the not cooled bulb.
  5. oh i like your stock hid lights. i just used a d2r and a h7 adaptor. mods tha lights, fog light mod, k&n air filter, is300 rims and 215/50 r17 rubber, tint. right there
  6. Do you think it is worth me buying these from this person for that price or when you separate the base the connection can be faulty? pricy u have an 02 with 9005's? high beam? are u sure u want an hid bulb for a high beam? they have a warm up time. and hid hate to be turned on and off alot.
  7. no pictures, i letting a family member drive it while their car was in the shop. i think the car was *BLEEP*ed casue someone else was driving her. but lexxie is a dirty lil !Removed! :) yeha i am gonna replace the two rotors caliper and pads. i let a shop change the rotors and pads about a years ago. but who knows. i just last month changed the rear pads, so who knows.
  8. well i had a front right brake calpier to lock up which cause a small fire nothing was harmed. but i guess i need brake pads, rotor and maybe a new caliper? about how much is a caliper? what causes it to lock up?
  9. well in my truck, i had a 6000k hid kit. yeah it was bright right in front of u, the headlights took h4 so it was orginally a halogen headlight, it threw out alot of glare, u could light up sighs for miles with the low beams. then i retroed it omg at the difference, my beams is wide as hell, around here we have divided highways. u know 2 lanes a meadian that is about 2 lanes wide then 2 more lanes. and i can see my cut off one the mountain on the other side of the the fourlane. the projector is what gives the color off not the bulbs all stock bulbs a 4100-4300k
  10. 8000k is a down grade will be bluer and dimmer then the 4300-4100k bulb that comes stock.
  11. i got some 100w h3 bulbs in my fogs lights and the foglight mod :) works great so far. did have a guy starring at me at the gas station when i pulled in to get a pop and left, he was in a identical car as mine minus the rims, and foglight mod. he actually fliped his parklights on and walked to the front of his car, guess he was trying to do the same.
  12. well iwth the 215/45r17 tires that came with the rims i bought it did not rub, but with thee 215/50r17 which is close to the stock dia. it rubbed a little in the rear, a lil spacer and all was fixed.
  13. hid kit plus a halogen reflector = bad. not real bad, mine are fine in the escort, they have some glare but its not too bad. yeah i have d2r's in my stock halogen headlight in the lex, but my tacoma's hid retro blowws the lex away in lightening.
  14. there should be a threded hole in the rotor with the park brake off thread on tfo the capliar bolts into it and the the oppsite hole it will pop off.
  15. Have you had Lexus adjust the sensitivity of the auto lights? They can do that through C-BEST. Mine never come on down a shady street and only in really long tunnels. on my 97 there is a lil black thing on top of the dash that controls the sensivinty.
  16. are they both new? 9006? 96- model? try switching the bulbs sides and see if the yellow follows, if not it may be headlight not bulb related.
  17. 12900 in 01 for a 97 w/60k on it. had been wrecked and repaired......
  18. i been gettin 21-25 but i drive to hard.. all the time with the 4k shifts and redline runs through 1st and 2nd. but on my last i am at 250 miles and a half of tank i noticed that i lost about 1 mpg with my rim change, maybe the 205-215 added a lil drag also.
  19. i dont know about the 96 but my 97 use 6.5 for the fronts 5.5 in the read doors, and a 8 in sub in the rear deck.
