  1. I believe that's correct. They have a hand held "programmer" to make all those settings to the customer's preference. I had a couple settings changed on the first visit back to the dealer for 30 day inspection. I see having all the doors open automatically as a mixed blessing though. If all the doors unlock every time you touch the handle, that makes it easy for an unwanted someone to jump in the car with you. That happened to a coworker who remotely opened the doors to his SUV at a gas station and a car jacker jumped in. The coworker finally got away but it was a traumatic experience to say the least.
  2. Lived north of Akron in a medium snow belt for 15 years. It was a matter of routine practice to switch to snow tires and wheels every fall. There you get the worst of the worst, with lots snow and ice and then the salt.
  3. The sticker is on the left rear under the "Lexus" emblem. You can get the OEM spoiler already painted here. http://my.is/store/customer/product.php?pr...t=47&page=2
  4. So far I haven't found anyone who has been able to just turn this off. Some people have gone to the extent of installing the sensors in a pressure tank or a wheelbarrow tire, etc and then put that in the trunk. This method makes the sensors "think" they are in properly inflated tires and keeps the alarm from going off. Still watching and waiting for some other work around.
  5. Was there an accident ??? See previous posts.
  6. I've known people to have to pay for electric poles before. They aren't cheap when it includes installation.
  7. Can you be sure that his estate will pay for any broken poles, cleanup and any endangered species that may be harmed in the process?
  8. Thats what makes life interesting LOL Well the reason I had the high bail was cause I had guns in the car and if I carried that much cash, I need guns. So....................
  9. Dunno about that car but the IS350 limiter is around 143.
  10. I don't like to carry that much cash around.
  11. Having that clear title in your pocket makes good if you have to bail yourself out of jail or something.
  12. Could be worse. Picture a cell phone, a Big Mac and a Cigar.
  13. The still frame shows 125, but in the video it goes up to 150.
  14. That's really not all that bad compared to what we've heard from other dealers. :)
  15. Sounds like something you should have looked at since you should still be under warranty.
  16. There's a workaround for the 06 models that turns trac and other stuff off. On the 07 models you press and hold the trac off button for a few seconds and it will stay off until you push it again or restart the car. Either way, you can do donuts, drift, and burn tires to your heart's content. I've done it in the 06 and have been told by 07 owners that it works just fine.
  17. I've watched the auto-downshifting a little closer. The tach maybe blips 300 to 500 RPM, which is to be expected when dropping down one gear. It's not jerky or anything, but just a little extra slowdown. It's programmed that way and sure isn't going to hurt anything. At most it's going to help reduce brake wear a little. Nothing to be concerned about. It can be an advantage since if you need to accelerate again, the trans is already in a gear to give the best power situation.
  18. I had heard this particular sound maybe 4 or 5 times total, and always while parked on a sunny day. I haven't heard it again for at least 4 months now. It just stopped happening for whatever reason.
  19. There is the sound of a servo motor that comes from under the dash, which I believe, is unlocking the steering wheel, etc when the ignition is turned on.
  20. That sounds about right to repair, prep and paint a bumper cover. I'd been quoted $300 just to prep and paint one.
  21. Are you asking how to turn it off?
  22. Braking Distance (60-0 mph): 119.93 ft. http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/lexus/is35...8075/specs.html
  23. Sorry, that link was bad. This one should work. http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=226292
  24. No they're not all like that. This is the first I've heard of winshield distortion on new cars and I've been following the 2nd gen IS now for over a year. Moving to IS250-350 forum.
