  1. If the guy has those blue tinted or painted bulbs maybe he can't see the filaments.
  2. Would Toyota sell me a TRD filter if it was bad for my car? <_<
  3. so this works from the evap core so all i have to do is remove the fans, and the spray is for the odor ← The stuff foams. You put it into the ducting upstream from the evap core and run the fan, it foams and cleans the core, and exits through the condensate drain. The instructions are pretty comprehensive.
  4. The '95 SC300, adjusted for low mileage is $11,000 to $12000. Retail According to Edmunds.com
  5. You can look up the TSB's here. There are like 85 of them listed for that car. http://www.alldata.com/recalls/index.html
  6. Paint Protection Film ? http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...10318&hl=llumar
  7. The ones I put on my Civic were easy. The hard part was finding a place to put the ballast boxes, as there isn't much room under the hood. Basically the wires from the kit just plug in between the exisiting wiring. If you get the right kit, it should be pretty straightforward.
  8. Keep in mind it's that so-called HID lookalike that comes with like 40% Xenon Gas and 60% Krypton. I'm not sure if those bulbs actually have a wire that you can see. They are very bright and have a tint of blue in them and I love it. Too bad my low-beam on the driver side doesn't work. ← The bulbs you have still have a filament. Stick your stock bulb back in there and see if it works. If it does, then your aftermarket bulb is bad.
  9. Do you mean it happens when you start your car and quits after the car is running?
  10. According to Edmunds.com Trade in = $13,594 Private party = $15,530 Dealer Retail = $17,454 You should still be able to get dealer wholesale for your trade-in. Otherwise it isnt all that great of a deal. The car shown on Edmunds has 5 spoke wheels.
  11. Some do, some don't. I have my regular mechanic do the inspections and fluid changes. You can buy the cabin filter cheaper online and change it yourself. Same goes for lots of maintenance items. Just keep receipts for what you get done. If the dealer didn't change the cabin filter, and didn't charge for it, you're probably lucky. He'd have charged big bucks for that.
  12. What bulb do you have and in what housing? That's what makes the big difference. If you have projector bulbs in a reflector housing, you're still going to get scatter, no matter how you adjust. If you have the proper kit that was made for your headlight setup, then you are probably ok. Since you put them in in '98, they should be grandfathered. You just can't legally install and run with a new kit now.
  13. The thing that caused the problem with HID kits was that some people were using D2S bulbs made for projectors, but putting them in reflector housings which would call for a D2R bulb. The result is lots of light scatter, and a poor beam cutoff, which blinded other drivers. These people kinda ruined it for the rest of us. Some places still sell kits which are said to be "off road only". You can install one of those and take your chances. I'd just try to make sure that you have the correct bulbs for your housings, and that the HID capsule is located the proper distance from the reflector so that it focuses correctly. LiteSwap.com used to sell beam corrected H4's etc which worked fine. However, when the NHTSA ruling cam along they stopped selling kits.
  14. The car has no power because it has gone into "limp mode". There is something wrong and the ECU is telling the engine not to run full power so it protects the engine. I would guess the timing belt may be not on correctly. Are you sure the new belt is on with the cam pulleys in exactly the same position as the old one? The realtionship between the crank pulley and the cam pulley must be correct for the valve timing to be correct. I will look for something to help with this on some other forums and come back. I have sent you an email. If you reply, I can send info by PDF file.
  15. I'd get it flushed by a good shop. They can probably get it flushed out better with the machine than you can. Then use only the coolant that's recommended in your owners manual. There have been problems with the super long life coolants. Better to stay with the stuff you cnange every 2 years or 30 thousand miles. Fresh coolant will help prevent corrosion, and keep the water pump in good shape, etc.
  16. wendell I read somwhere about and accident caused by someone looking at !Removed! on some other car's video screen.
  17. In the New York City area there are plenty of 'standalone' Jag dealers. ← Well, sure. Ain't that where all them rich people live? :D ← Yup, and I'm one of them. :P ← Congrats!
  18. In the New York City area there are plenty of 'standalone' Jag dealers. ← Well, sure. Ain't that where all them rich people live? :D
  19. How many Jag dealers are there anyway? Aren't most of them in specialty shops with some other brands?
