  1. The owners manual says under severe conditions or towing to change the fluid....But logic dictates to change the fluid when it appears dirty.
  2. Never..!! RXh uses PSD type CVT, no frictional clutch components, the only heat is from bearing friction and electic motor/generator resistance losses. Well having a RX400h with 102k miles, I still feel the fluid can eventually break down from heat and gear tear....I Would rather be safe and have as little residue as possible in the fluid. There are more than just bearings in the tranny, their is a planetary looking gear assembly...So yes I would change fluid. see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_Synergy_Drive
  3. Personally i would change it every year...It is essentialy a drain and fill...Takes about 4.2 quarts...of WS fluid....Mine was very dark when I changed it at 88k miles....
  4. the wheel bearing is a sealed bearing that is pressed into the hub. Bearing is around $50, but the labor to remove and replaced it jacks the price. Their is no tightening it...unless the axle nut is loose....
  5. Personally I feel B of A should have been allowed to fold. Their treatment of customers is rediculous...They sit on mortage forclosures, shortsales, and then hold your money to their advantage, and manipulate your funds to create penalties....Best move I ever did was go with my local credit union. I was with B of A for over 35 years and they could care a less. My treatment at my credit union is so far superior. I believe the mega banks are crap.... Support your credit unions as well as local small banks that really want your business. Learn what real customer service can be and enjoy cheaper everything. funny how all of the bailout banks have the worst customer service, go figure.
  6. What a proud heritage you have...God Bless all of them and thank you for your service
  7. I owned a 99 Rx300 for 12 years...Was a great vehicle except for the transmission failing...at 100k miles. Mine was AWD...I suggest looking for a 2002, or 2003 for best reliability and following 15k miles transmission fluid changes or once a year.
  8. that is an excellent price for all of that stuff. Make sure plugs are iridium, do not substitute....either Denso, or NGK
  9. Hey thank you for your dad's service, maybe my Dad knew him. He was on B52 from 1956 through 1963 at Westover, Mass...and Minot North Dakota then he went to the 44th Minuteman missle squadron...Ellsworth AFB South Dakota and Vandenburg Ca. 1963-1968
  10. I believe their is a blower motor resistor pack on the outside that could go bad, other than that what if it blew a fuse.
  11. Hey, cross your fingers, maybe your reset worked. I would still, in the future consider the tranny filter.
  12. No technology is the future, I fully understand your dad industry, I Worked for Xerox Corporation for 32 years and saw the future of that industry, Hince that is why they evolved into the technology office of the future....
  13. Kill jobs no....using technology to solve the problems yes....Over-regulating, please no. use some common sense.
  14. Maybe the old didnt have a heated seat....one less plug....
  15. Welcome aboard, post a picture of your wheels
  16. Veterans Day is coming up (November 11th) and I thought we could see whom was a veteran, what branch, and what time period.... Thank you for your service. I will start, United States Navy, 1968-1974 and 1984-1986.
  17. the time cert is discussed a great deal on the Ford F150 site...Excellent repair according to everyone. Highly recommmend it. Heli coil is ok, but no where as good as the time cert for a solid permanent repair...
  18. Hey, Los Angeles is cleaner, than when I was a kid...I remember the yellow, thick as mustard air...now it is breathable. I remember in 1965 the windshield turning sticky...So emission controls are vastly better now. We all want clean, but not to the point of killing jobs, and destroying industry...

Good man, stands by his principals...Hey any business man has the right to select his customers....
  20. That is why it should be dismantled and go to a use tax, or something similiar. You know as for the welfare queen syndrome there is a lot of truth in that...I know personally of people that get a check for $5000 plus and never paid a dime in income tax, the sad part is then it all goes to drugs...There are so many of these folks that know the system and what they can weasel out of it. Real reform of welfare would include drug testing...But oh no we cant do that. That infringes on their rights. So Sad to see these folks sit around and mull around everyday, popping babies that generally will never have a chance with parents, or parent that are on these programs..Work for welfare would a better solution and possibly give dignity to some of these folks...I know they all arent this way, but when is the cycle of the great society going to stop. I see (personally) so much of this fraud when I visit my mother-in-law because unfortunately her neck of the woods is a haven for these types. It is sad. At least a use tax or flat tax would even the playing field if done correctly...Our tax code is broke, it just funnels money to special interest to get their politicians to vote for their programs. Our Politicians are just tax !Removed!'s that vote for more of the same.

Yep, somebody has to hold you guys in check,,,you know liberalism is a mental disorder. It can be cured...especially when you find out that bandaging things doesnt fix it, you need to find the cause to make real permanent change. Trust in your heart, truth will come out. Top of the evening to everyone.
  24. Very nice ceremony...Thank a vet where ever you see one....
