yea I agree, he is sucking you up to not feel bad about the 1000-.. The Timing belt, waterpump cost 493 at the toyota dealer. The tranny flush should only have cost about 150 to 200 tops. Make him squirm. Tell him the prices at the toyota shop are a lot cheaper, however you are a lot cheaper than Roseville Lexus which quoted me 1400 for the timing belt and waterpump only. good luck

sounds like a dead battery, if you have a voltmeter check for 12.5 volts.also look at the terminals to see if they are corroded.

I would contact the Bureau of Automotive Repairs for the State of Kentucky and possibly the State Attorney General, The Better Business Bureau, etc. And see if you can get some satisfaction. Then go to an auto parts store and run some codes on the vehicle to see what is causing the check engine light. ( dont forget the gas cap being on tight)

Hey i don't know about the ES but the RX300 has only one filter element, maybe they gave you two filters one extra for the next change. By the way I have had success washing the filter element and drying.

Dont know about the vibration, but the antenna, do you hear the motor try to go up? If so then the mast is probably damaged, and will have to be replaced. To do so you will have to remove the entire motor assembly. If you are not mechanically inclined then find a trusted mechanic. The Mast with nylon drive belt can be purchased as the dealership or at some of the online Lexus sites.

If the fluid is not a issue I would communicate this problem to Lexus and the NHTSB as a saftey issue. the fly by wire ecu transmission need to be safe.

From what I see there is a Heater blower swicth, then there is usually a blower/heater resistor network that might have blown. The blower resistor assembly is usually mounted on the blower assembly case with two screws. The other possiblility is that one of the plugs going to the switch or to the heater blower is loose.

Sometimes if they are nice you can call the ford dealership and ask for the parts department and ask if the heater/fan control switch fails very often and what symptons it can give. Otherwise without a schematic I would think it is the switch or maybe a relay hanging up.
