  1. you could oven the lights and open them and then clean them yourself. Then you could reseal with a silcone sealant. this would probably be best method for ultimate cleanness, IMO There have been few posts that teach u step by step on the procedure. do a search on clear corners in the ES forums.
  2. i dont know about the white smoke being normal. that never has happened to me. The clicking thing is not your timing belt. Those are either your Fuel Injectors or your Valves. If your fuel economy is ok i wouldnt really worry about that. Struts are a normal maintanance item for that many miles. If your maintanance was done according to procedure, your car should last u much longer than few years. Going with that white smoke issue... are you sure you did you oil changes every 3-5 k?
  3. i cant believe a SUV like yukon is even worth it over 38000. ridiculus
  4. market has changed in the past 4 years drastically. Every car that even wants to be considered a top notch needs to have vehicles that are beefed up with more power than needed. But toyota knows whats ahead. thier new avalons are ganna slap the nissans and hondas around like pattys. the GS is ganna toy around with those infinities easy.
  5. you live in a very cold part of the world. Your belts are constantly under cold dry weather during the winter. What he was trying to say is taht by looks it may looks fine.... but they gotta go. definetely an accident waiting to happen. Your seeing some signs already from what i read in your posts.
  6. I have a brand new casio camera that i just got. Ill take some pics and post them up this weekend. I also dont know where that picture is. Maybe i posted in someones thread at one point or another. Even funnier, i dont remember even taking pictures of the new interior.
  7. that strikes a little worry. I remember when you got your work done. You were very excited about it. I had mine done there too... had it done with leather and marble wood. i hope mine doesnt do something like that. does your hand sweat alot ? often time people have the common problem where their hands sweat more than normal, i know that effects leather alot.... but only one year... thats amazing
  8. why would it be any different on my car than yours ? what does flange mean ?
  9. amen to that... reguardless of it being a old station wagon or an upscale bently
  10. your whole sound system is from poineer. that is not replaced, it is what comes with factory. Your head unit, amp speakers... they are all pioneer designed. as for replacing speakers, any speaker 5 1/4 actually should work. I doubt its ganna match factory sound becuase the system was fine tuned to work very well with each other. nonetheless, you shouldnt have a problem replacing them. the rear size is 6x9. trying to obtain a factory speaker, you can maybe try a junk yard or something. Its worthless to buy it from a dealer because they will just rip u off for that. aftermarket will be a better speaker anyways -neil
  11. so when targeting the area of the exhaust leak/sound, it was spotted on the flex pipe. Where i went (meinke) the exhuast guy told me that the flexpipe there attached to the Y-pipe cannot be worked on/replaced. He told me that the whole unit which it attached to the catalyic converter is as one large piece and thus the whole assembly has to be replaced. Although the flex piece is inexpensive its cannot be accessed easily to be worked on this car. anyone else had problems with this? or know if what hes saying is just lack of knowlege? yup, lost. ! -neil
  12. congrads man, glad to see you happy again!!!!
  13. stereo
  14. the wonders of insurance. Paying high premiums and all that, its always worth it to find the best body shop and get the most out of money.
  15. my apologies, i didnt account for the bumpers that go also become repainted as they are the same color as the cladding
  16. that wasnt the question sir. He was asking if there was a replacement aftermarket. not a business which works on OEM gauges to makes them pretty and bright
  17. 300 is good. kinda high but ok i guess. anything more, your over paying. For a professional, this cladding is a no brainer. Pretty quick job too. If your getting that repainted, and have alot of key marks and dings on your door, it would be smart to get those repainted too. i say that since your already paying for the labor to remove the cladding.
  18. both great companies, but will sound different to the taste of ones own likings. I agree with SK, you wont really know untill you hear it yourself. I was picky, i got kenwood 4 ways in the back, and polk audios 3 ways in the front all connected to an amplifier made by directed electronics. Then one large sub with its own Amp.
  19. lol, bought the car like that. Panels should need to come off inorder to get a perfect coverage. however, if you decide to get it done and have no real experience with body painting, dont touch it. Get it done professionally as it is like getting any other panel painted. Depending on the shop, some may sand it down far enough where you may need to apply paint primer for the polyurethane which i believe that cladding us made of.
  20. thats a negative.
  21. took this pic of my car long while back. but should answer your question
  22. the largest possible is a 18X7 40mm off set. i tried this on a friends 92, they fit but look kinda bad without a drop
  23. hmmm... what is a bump stop ?
  24. dude... all it takes is a simple search, but if you wanna be lazy about it. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...c=10957&hl=lens that should give you some info. NOW READ the weapon R stuff is bull *BLEEP*. some people say it works but the physics makes not sence. there are tons and tons of post on everything your asking. Youve been told once to read the faq's already, now do a search before posting redundant questions.
