So the Nissan Sentra's running the HKS turbo, on the US Spec DE Engine? Could you ask a few more questions for me? What year is the Sentra? Did he swap the ECU out? What kind of Fuel Management system is he using? What else did he do to the car. Also, let's move this inquiry into the PM section since it's not the SCs. Thanks

Did you read the text on their Website? That should have answered your questions. I recommended the product because there were so many people complaining about the cheaper aftermarket brand coolants, that only the Toyota Brand Coolant is designed for our Japanese engines. This additive is kind of cheap, but is very effective for those who doubt aftermarket coolants. Now SK, I hear yea about it not actually doing anything significant to the engines performance. You and I will never actually feel the difference, but in reality it does. Most of us believe when we switch to a new water pump, or a new fuel filter, it works, and we forget about it, but it actually improves the engine's performance. In a study that my race team did recently, we swapped out a Nissan fuel filter with a Mobil 1 filter, and tested it on the dynamometre, and saw a significant increase in the graph. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I dropped some Wetter into my SC last year. It felt good to add something that prolongs the life of my engine--just my opinion.

So, you're looking at an aftermarket remote/alarm system. I hated mine.

Welcome Jackal1598. there are a few posts that talked about a remanufactured parts from AutoZone and Pepboys. I've been quoted $150 with a $50 core charge, but I prefer the ones from the dealer. If you want another quote from my distributor, I'll need your VIN or year and model, but PM me.

along with SportsCoupe's Plastic and Glass, but I'm thinking there might be a leak in the seal for your Lowbeam. There are others posts and people who have talked about this subject before, but the most logical conclusion is a leaky seal. I'm not sure about adding Scratch X on plastic. I've never did it before, but it's possible it might work. There are plastic polishes from Meguire and Mothers. Google it, or check on their sites. I've heard of Noxus before, and I've heard good things about the brand, but never tried it. I'm a mothers person myself.

Coolant Bubbling (boiling?) Through Reservoir
UCF3 replied to whh333's topic in 92 - 00 Lexus SC300 / SC400
And i'm really late to this thread. Replace the coolant with RedLine Waterwetter. It's tested by FIA, SCCA, NASCAR, IHRL, and high performance parts mans. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota's Coolants are Redline. -
I've heard of them, but never actually purchased their reports. Why are you planning on getting the report?

SportCoupe: What kind of connector does the SAFC have?

Hey Van: Any luck finding out what the code's saying?

Oh, sorry, I meant to refer to the brother.

If there is even slight damage to the chassis, it won't feel right at all but a car can still be driveable with a bent chassis. It just depends on severity of the bend and location. I had a 98 Camaro with a slightly bent chassis and the only way I could tell is the steering felt a little biased towards the side of the bend and my tire tread wouldn't wear off evenly. On the other hand, if you did hit a curb on your way off the road, you can expect extensive damage to the chassis. My friend spun his Le Baron and hit the curb sideways. The body of the car actually came off the chassis. oh really! I didn't know that. Hey Rich: You could take the skidpads off yourself and check it out. Also, I would recommend taking it to a service station with a collision repair facility. They should be able to figure it out, with expert opinions. Off course this is after your insurance company says, okay check it out. I can actually see that--the Chrysler LeBaron is one of NITSA's --worst car ever.

Wow, these guys have a lot of nice cars including a very nice 300ZX and the nice blue coloured Supra. awwhhhhhh!!!! Will somebody buy me one of these, please? Rich, have you dealt with them before, or is it something you came across?

I believe the orange connector behind the back seat connect your speakers and Sub, but don't quote me on it. There is a link in the LS forum about it. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=6447& If you need to take your Aftermarket Spoiler off, take the grey covers off your trunk lid. That should expose the screws. Hope this helps

VMF: Does he have the NISSAN SR20DET or is it the VG30DETT with creative plumbing? K9: Actually I'm not the best person when it comes to Turbos. Lex and AWJ are the experts since they've had a chance to turbo up. I'm still learning as well. The part that annoys me is when Toyota calls the GTE with a Twin Turbo setup as just a turbo setup (T), when Nissan choose to actually name what it's running, like the SR20DET is a single turbo, or when you attach the NISMO turbo it changes to SR20DETT.

97 Ls400 Engine Light And Odd Back Fire Sound
UCF3 replied to Hybrid-JD's topic in 90 - 00 Lexus LS400
I thought it was a clot in your exhaust, but you may need a new fuel filter, but don't quote me on it. Check the error code first, and see what it says. You may have two different problems. -
95 Ls400 Heater Blowing Cool Air Sometimes
UCF3 replied to thisisludicrous's topic in 90 - 00 Lexus LS400
If I were to guess, it sounds like you have a bad heater core, a possible leaky HVAC Pipe, old/low coolant or like SW03es mentioned new water pump. -
you should look at the back of Car and Driver, road and track and some other magazines of the rack. You'll find more places that offer wood trim.
-
I don't think you'll find an orange connector. In my opinion, your First Stage Troubleshooting helped, but your instincts are correct. I'm thinking one of your head connector may have a loose wire, but I won't be able to help you with the troubleshooting since I don't have the Wiring diagram. VMF, do you have the second or third repair book with the wiring diagrams?

looks like Ebay users like this seller. I really don't know about this seller, but as long as it looks like the one you have currently in your car, go for it. Worst case scenerio, you get a bad part, call him/her a loser, and get it fixed from one of our recommended rebuilder.
-
It sounds like a wiring problem, as if you didn't connect the right wire to the right circuit or your high beam wire is loose. I would suggest getting a wiring harness diagram from lexus; you might have to pay for it. Otherwise, you could try getting a new harness, from a salvage yard, or one of the aftermarket retailers or tunershops.

Ones in the engine bay, to the right of the Lexus emblem "diagnosis" in this picture. The other one is under the dash of the steering column-close to the kicker panel.

thanks. Man I should have waited another year, and skipped their R&D time.

I don't think the Speedo/Tac would be affected by a slightly smaller tire. Rim size would affect it. I have to agree with the others. Ask the tire place to install 225/60/16 on your stock rims.

EDITED: Hey, you started another thread about this subject. <_< Toyota followed an easy system, based on GMs philosophy--Body on Frame. Think of Gen I as a test cycle. Toyota was interested in seeing what the Lexus Brand and Line-up could do to benefit the company. they learned from that, and made significant changes to the next gen car. I don't think you have to switch to a Honda or Acura. The Gen II and Gen III cars will come down in price soon, so you could switch to one of those cars. SW03ES: Check out the link below. It will answer why both 91LS and I are complaining about Gen I http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=6277&
