  1. Is there a reason why you don't fix your CD changer? Since you mentioned your Changer is skipping, it sounds like the headunit of the Player needs to be replaced. I've also noticed that you live in Ireland. Have you attempted to contact one of the Moderators on the UK Forum. They may have a place for you to send the unit. You should also checkout, "General FAQ- and Audio links, turbo info. common problems". My fellow Moderators and I have Pinned at the top of the SC Forum, and this will be very useful to anyone. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=8008&.
  2. Setup an appointment to see the dealer before you leave. THey might be a problem down-the-road. Hey, don't the 92 SC4s come with the spoiler, or was that adopted afterwards?
  3. This requires at least 4-5 hours of work time, especially the AC Compressor-clutch, struts, and engine-trans. seal/gasket. If you want the car, badly, then go ahead and buy it, but it will require some $$$ to buy parts and work on. Your biggest concern should be the Engine-Transmission gasket, which is easier to do with the proper tools. If you have serious problems like this, I would suggest dropping the price down at least $2-3k or ask them to fix all of the problems.
  4. MInes a Red with Beige interior, but I'll be changing it as soon as I get the money to. MY SC Hey Sadistic: You had to add such a large picture to the post. Do you a favour, change it. Thanks man.
  5. If the block has so many leaks, it might be better if you didn't get it. BTW where in DC are you. PM me if you want to meet and we can take a better look at it.
  6. Won't the universal Tow hitch work in this case? BTW Aaron123: Could you not use caps why replying? Much appreciated.
  7. Andy(BlackSC4): Did the problem return, or are you set?
  8. I'm with AWJ, except I'd be charging $75/hr for 4hrs to complete the kit, plus expenses to complete a custom wood face, like the one on my LS. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/LS/Im000298a
  9. Most parts are interchangeable with eachother. What specifically are you trying to do, other than the Instrument cluster?
  10. I don't think EBC Greenstuff are worth it anymore. It's designed and tested on and for the track with crossdrilled and slotted rotors. It shouldn't be used on street cars. I'd swap to the Supra Brake kits, and increase your chances braking. BTW: why are you on your brakes so much?? <_<
  11. What nobody likes the new Jag XJs? A few Magazines say the Jag is much better than the Phaeton, Benz and Beamer. Any thoughts?
  12. tansupplyman: You're gonna have to do something with your Lex. Who did your repairs? Senna4ever : I wish we had government health-care.
  13. Sorry to hear about your kid and you being in that accident. Please take the time to have your son checked out by the hospital, for abrassions and whip-lash. I have to agree with the others, don't settle with the insurance company until you get what you want, and it doesn't hurt to consult a lawyer. I believe the car is totaled, but I'll show it to the body shop guys I work with. Glad to hear both of you guys are okay.
  14. My SC has a nasty dent on the side, and of course the front license plate came off when that lady hit me. All of my co-workers think I'm the big-boss, then they come close to the car and see the damage, and say, man was I wrong! D'OH!!! To me, my LS isn't just a luxury car, but a car that gets me from point A to Point B, with a little bit more power than what Toyota offers. Besides, it's just the Toyota Celsior-rebadged as a Lexus. I'd say: Whatever :whistles:
  15. I think it's part of the lower control arm, right JP?
  16. It is entirely possible the cables are bad. also the connectors could be bad as well. From my knowledge, the Pioneers and the Nakamichis have a really long range. I used to be able to pick up some Richmond channels from MD, especially AM. All Pioneers 91+ came with a self-sensing/self-adjusting stereo and antenna. Youngdoog, try adjusting between different channels across the band; it should pick up one long-range channel. I think, if you reset the radio, the stereo self-tests itself. Unfortunately, my aftermarket stereo does that once I start the car, and it doesn't self-adjust like the old pioneer.
  17. Has your mechanic checked out the obvious, rotors, bad tires, low pressure, tie rods, ball joints, worn strut&mount etc? The only issue I've come across is a strange vibration caused by the steering column itself. You might need to check out Cureline.net to go over what they have on this issue. The site is currently under construction, but you can also email him.
  18. I have to agree with SW. It sounds a little fishy. Plus when MotorTrend wrote the article about the new GS a year ago, they didn't mention any hybrids, but a more powerful engine. I think the RX is the only Lexus Hybrid, and the others are more powerful fuel-bred cars.
  19. Not sure. Are you sure it's not your ABS that's kicking back? It could be a bad strut mount or bad strut, metal-metal clicking. Try duplicating the sound by taking the wheel off, put it in drive, and turn the steering wheel-extreme. See if it works.
  20. Sounds like an display issue. I think I'm experiencing that with my 94. Can you take the car to the dealer w/letter and ask them?
  21. There's a Blitz SC430 exhaust out there. http://www.eautoworks.com/html/search-1-SC...itz~Exhaust.htm
  22. If you're interested in listening to a few exhausts check out http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...opic=8008&st=30, and look for my post on V8 Exhaust sounds.
  23. What's GTP Importfan's Website? Are they the same guys as GTP International Inc. out of Irvine, CA or is it some other company?
  24. Apply some Battery Terminal cleaner to the terminals, and tighten the nuts. It could be based upon the sudden cold temps.
  25. 93ls400 Posted the following post: I just got A/C climate Control fixed for 93 LS400, excellent service from MIkado Tech. It took only two days from door to door (NJ - CA). Total cost $250 including overnight shipping.
