  1. Hi pj8708, Thanks a lot for your reply. The dealer is not willing to do anything extra. They are willing to work with lexus to change my CPO benefit to 3 year warranty as was originally noted in the signed contract. However, the dealer is pitching me that the 2 year warranty + 4 services (20,000 miles) service is better than the standalone 3 year warranty. They want me to think through before they proceed with Lexus to change the CPO benefits to the 3 year warranty. So my question to the expert owners here is, which of the following is better? 1) 3 year warranty Or 2) 2 year warranty + 4 services free (20,000 miles) Thanks!
  2. Hello Everyone, I bought a CPO 2013 Rx-350 last December (2015). I was advertised 3 year/36000 miles warranty as part of the CPO program. Interestingly, I got a letter from Lexus suggesting that they had terminated the old program and the new program included 2 year warranty and 20,000 mile complementary maintenance. Lexus says that it was bad on my dealers part that they didn't correctly advertise the program details. The dealer is willing to rectify this by working with Lexus but I am being told that the new ( 2 year warranty and 20,000 mile complementary maintenance ) program is better than the old one and are asking me to think through. Appreciate your thoughts on the situation.
  3. Jim, I am being told that i can't service the lexus anywhere but at a Lexus dealership for the warranty to be effective. So may be the following can be done after the warranty has expired but not before that? // Regarding the pre-paid maintenance ... nothing says that you have to have maintenance done by a Lexus dealer. I drove Lexus vehicles for 24 years and used Lexus dealer service departments only for warranty repairs or when the independent repair shops I normally used were busy or did not have appropriate tools like those needed for alignments. Any shop that repairs and services a Toyota Highlander can do the same for an RX350. It should not cost any more to maintain an RX350 than it does for a Highlander. //
  4. Hi Steve, Thank you for the feedback. How many more years of coverage did you get apart from the basic warranty of 48 months/50,000 miles? As far as maintenance is concerned, does anybody know if the following link accurately capture the cost associated with each maintenance? http://www.lexusoflehighvalley.com/LexusOfLehighValley-MaintenancePricing?referrer=https://www.google.com/
  5. Hello Everyone, I am in the process of purchasing a CPO 2013 RX-350 with 55K miles on it. Since it is a CPO, it already comes with a 3 year/100,000 mile warranty. The dealer is offering me a Extended warranty, 5 years/100,000 miles for 2900. This will be good to me only for 2 years as the CPO warranty will take care of things for the first 3 years. This doesn't sound right. Thoughts? Are there any other options for longer coverage? Can I buy the Lexus warranty anywhere else? The offer for the maintenance package is 2175 and that is good for 5 years or 40,000 miles. Worth it?
