  1. We very seldom have any problems with member guidelines that are listed in the guide lines for all members as they register. Just as a reminder, language or attitude and general courtesies are part of the guide lines for member postings and general items that help keep our club fun and enjoyable for all. Paul
  2. Craig and Denny.....you guys make a super "Tag Team". Thanks for helping those of us who are "shade tree" shy. LOL Gary, while I was reading your description of your cars status, lights blinking, 4-way hazard lights blinking around and around,....made me stop and remember the last time I say a display like that was "E T". "Go home now!!!!"
  3. Hi Luvmy, Here is a quick way to do a search. At the top of the forums page, you can see a white rectangular box that is labeled "Search" You can enter your search string in that space. The search function gives you a choice of several search engines to use. I almost always use Google because it seems to find the most results. Here is a search I did today for another remember.. He has a 2005-LS 330 and want's help with finding instructions on pairing his Bluetooth phone with the Lexus software. For a search, I used "2005 ES330"- pair Bluetooth" as the search start. This brought up several results with information regarding the need of the member. Let us know if this doesn't help. Paul
  4. Mareley, I just did a quick scan through our data base, and found many postings about your specific question. Just go to "2005 ES 330- bluetooth pairing" The search entry point is at the top of the page to the right. There are several choices you can use for searching. If this information doesn't work out we can check another option. Paul
  5. This sounds way cool Denny! Believe it or not, We have a NASCAR track about 40 miles east of Des Moines. When the NASCAR races are on you couldn't get any more people in the stands with a shoe horn. It is very popular here in the Midwest. I'm like Becki in that sitting there all afternoon watching the cars go round and round and the noise level feeling like a spike through the ear is just not one of those things I don't have much ofany good or bad. But looking at the races from a different perspective, you can't help but be impressed by the skill of the drivers and the technicians who build the cars. Maintaining their place and pace at 150 mph is very amazing when one little slip from side to side can kill you almost instantly. If you decide you want to go with your idea, let me know what I can do to help. Paul
  6. I did a search of our data base regarding Rims and Tire sizes and swaps. There are several threads here about your questions. This link will take you to those threads. I searched using Google. If you'd like to do more research there is a selection on the search box for different search providers. All free. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?s=7b553fcbb154ad9e4f634d404c3e90e8&app=googlecse#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=ls430%20tire%20rim%20size
  7. Not a member of AOL so can't connect to the article. Hi Gary, I'm sorry you had this problem. I haven't had this problem before and you do not have to be on AOL to open the link. I've down loaded a different link specifically for this article. Please give it a try. If you still are having problems come right back to me and I'll talk to Steve B, the owner of this web site in the UK and we'll try to find the right connection for you. 8. Well, to show you I'm not afraid of ridicule, what is a BBS wheel? LOL Paul
  9. The details about the launch of the new RX this year are becoming more clear. The much talked about 3 seater, and a smaller city size is a major possibility. Read the article and check out the photo's. Afterwards, come back here and post your reaction to all of the information. What do you think about all the changes?? Paul https://webmail1.mail.aol.com/38905-111/aol-6/en-us/Suite.aspx
  10. OK. So he went to log-in and the site rejected the attempt, for what ever reason. Stephen did you get a message regarding your ID or Password, or did you get the New Member -Join message. Forgotten passwords are common. I keep a hard copy log of mine because I can't remember my own home address.LOL
  11. I've got a little different situation. We have both a 2013 RX350, and a 2013 ES350. I had moved over from my previous 2010 ES350 to the 2013 ES. The RX was our first experience with a crossover. When I got into the RX I immediately noted the ride quality and was pretty convinced that any road trip we took would be in the ES. The RX was way to rough for me. The cabin was quiet and laid out well. But I cringed every time we got near a pot hole. I love my ES and after trying some different tires, I think the ES is a great, nice, well appointed luxury car and one of the best buys financially in the Lexus line. My worst fear is that as I get older I'll have to get one of those inflatable round doughnuts to sit on when I'm in the RX!! Paul
  12. Hi to Hawaii ! Unfortunately, it looks like no one has an answer for you. The product is unfamiliar. If you want to paste some pics that might help members understand your question. Thanks for posting. Paul
  13. Stephen, I apologize for any difficulty you've had in trying to change your LOC personal settings. I'm a little confused about how your able to log-on every day if you do not have a valid e-mail in your profile. Here are two things I can offer you. Any member should be able to go to the top of any Forums page and see your ID posted next to the sign in/sign out label. Click on the ID tab and that should take you to your profile page where you will see a change settings ID. Clicking on this brings up a screen with entries for ID and password. Like any other site, the choice for "Forgotten Password?" is shown. As always, click on forgot password will take you to screens for changing passwords. I am probably misunderstanding your need, so here is one other choice. You can send me your information and I can do it for you. If this is the easiest way for you, I recommend you send your information to me via my e-mail not the Personal Message feature of the LOC . This will keep the settings off of the LOC site so no one will be able to somehow find your changes. Let me know if any of this is helpful. Paul
  14. Denny, Do you know if there is a TSB out for this problem? Paul
  15. Hi Dave! Good to hear from you. Sandra, I think between Dave's suggestions and my thoughts, you probably have enough places to start from for now. Try running down some of these and then move on if they don't help. I believe in starting with the possibilities that cost the least. A simple bad fuse could easily be the culprit. If you don't know how to check for voltage in the socket, find some one like a well known and respected independent shop to run the check. it only takes an inexpensive little probe to touch the fuse. If you do know how to check for voltage and bad/blown fuse's, just go to your owners manual and look up the chart for all of the fuse's, and the location and circuits they belong to. However, I'm not sure this is going to help solve the problem. If it were only a bad fuse you would think the previous owner would have fixed the problem and got on their way. This means it may be just a bad socket when the plug is pushed in. Like I said, there are no shortages of possibilities. Try David's advice and the above, and let us know if we've helped or just confused. Paul
  16. Hi Peggy and welcome. I apologize that some one hasn't responded to your questions earlier. There have been over 100 views of your posting but apparently no one has any answers. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer either. A couple of suggestions. Go to Lexus.com, and go to the "technical" choice and see if you can hook-up with a Blue tooth rep. Another idea is going to "TIS.com" This is Toyota Information Services. The site contains everything technical about Lexus, Toyota, and Scion. If you can't find it here it can't be found. However, there is a use fee based upon the amount of time you use the data base. Two days runs $15.00. It sounds as though you have some tech knowledge so this may be very helpful. Paul
  17. Hi Sam and welcome! I've owned 3 ES models and never has a noise when the brake pedal is pushed. It is not normal. I agree with Lenore regarding the cabin fan noise. Pretty uncommon for the fan to go bad. Another possibility is the actuator doors that open and close to mix the air temps to keep the cabin temp at your setting. If leaves and/or a mechanical problem with the actuator motors it can cause some pretty annoying sounds. Paul
  18. Dave, Just wanted to check in and see if you got the information you needed. Paul
  19. Hi Sandra, Talk about a time machine! This trick goes way back to when homes used screw-in fuses to protect an overload from one of the outlets or lights in the house. If a fuse blew and the person did not have a spare, they would put a penny in the fuse socket and screw the fuse back in. This would bypass the bad fuse until a new one could be purchased. This was a very dangerous fix. I've never heard of this situation before in a 12 volt plug-in outlet in a car. The only thing I can think of is when you plugged in the GPS after removing the dime, it allowed something to drain the battery even though your RX was turned off. This doesn't take much. I once left my dome light on overnight and the battery completely drained over night. Others will chime in here and probably have more help. Come back and let us know how things turn out. Paul
  20. Hi Marc. I apologize for one of us not getting to your question sooner. I don't know the answer to your question, but I would be comfortable saying to go to our data base and post your topic. The configuration of front lights has kept changing over the years, and I've never heard of one that was easy to replace. I'm guessing that given the age of the car, the bulb is probably halogen and may require a ballast change. Hopefully others will chime in here and off some good advice. Paul
  21. Are you sure it's the screen? Have you looked in the Owners Manual for the listing and location of all the fuse's and links? If your screen hasn't been checked by a technician and definitely diagnosed, I would encourage to to check the fuse's first. Paul
  22. So I don't feel inferior to you "bat out of hell" car owners, my little ol' ES350 will bark the tires from a stand still, then from 1st to 2nd. Not bad for an old (66) man who can't remember why he walked into a room and what was he going to do!!! LOL Paul
  23. Hi Lenore, Can you tell me more about the "Flee Market"? I've never heard of it and am wondering if it's a good resource. Thanks pal, Paul
  24. Hi Dave and welcome. This is an interesting problem, but let me see if I can come up with some ideas. To my knowledge, I have never heard of the SiriusXm feature being linked to the other channel offerings or basic channels. If that were true you should have lost your gasoline price page, your stock market page and possibly other guidance. Call your dealer and ask him for help. Don't forget about your warranty. The car has 40,000 miles and a 4 year life warranty Paul
  25. Welcome Eillen! A couple of things you might try; Ebay is always a good place to look for used and new parts. Additionally, there is a great number of salvage yards with on line inventory's where you can google your way and see if they have what you need. Let us know how things are going. Paul
