  1. You were right. Before tackling the job I threw a set of gauges on the air conditioner and found the AC to be low on gas. Charged the system and brought it back to normal. This $12 fix saved me a days labor or $1,700 in repairs at the dealer.
  2. Thanks to all. Before tackling the job I threw a set of gauges on the air conditioner and found the AC to be low on gas. Charged the system and brought it back to normal. This $12 fix saved me a days labor or $1,700 in repairs at the dealer.
  3. The dual temp control blows warmer on driver side when in AC mode. Is their a thermostat or something like it that regulates cabin temps. Just started doing this. Car has 155,000 miles. Appreciate any thoughts
  4. Hey - A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to this posting! I followed the instructions and the proceedure worked like a dream! Many thanks
  5. The gas cap cover will not open. The cable is intact but the clip inside the cover plate fell out. Can anyone give me direction on how to reinstall the clip?
  6. Thanks for the insight and link. I'll let you know what I find out. It was the starter - got it replaced and everything works fine now!
  7. #168 Click HERE As Lexus2D stated, you can replace the licence plate bulbs with LEDs if you wish. They last many times longer than incandescent bulbs, and look cooler too. Check out this site for LED alternatives www.superbrightleds.com I bought "cool white" LEDs from them to replace the burnt out front door courtesy lights, the interior trunk light, the licence plate lights, and the 8 instrument cluster backlighting bulbs. The bulbs are accessed through the underside of the trunk lid. It is a bear to do and took me 1 hour start to finish. Hardest part was pulling the plastic plugs to remove the underside insullation. Good luck
  8. Thanks for the insight and link. I'll let you know what I find out.
  9. I have a 99 ES300 with a new battery that refuses to turn over. When I turn the key it does not turn over - there is not sound at all. The battery is fully charged and the alternator is working properly. Is this a solinoid issue? When it does not turn over, if I turn the key several times it will eventually start. Any thoughts?
