  1. Way too many posts about people having shift issues using non speced fluids in an Aisin Warner transmission. Mobil makes T-IV and badge it under Mobil 3309. Besides, I can buy T-IV from a dealer for less than I can buy Amsoil. SO why would I pay more for a non-specified fluid?? Makes no sense at all. because you are getting more.

  3. Just becuase they design a AT does not mean they know anything on fluid. They still push oil drains that are 10+ years old..BONG...Toyota does not make fluids. They buy them and rebadge them. I do not put much faith in mfg on fluids or anything. They write manuals that bean counters write, not engineers. YMMV, but if you think Toyota fluid is great, that is wonderful. I would tell anyone to test it compared to Amsoil or any other "top tier" fluids. Look at what gives you more, it an't toyo. Lastly, if toyo fluid was so good why did my car shifter smoother etc with a non-toyo fluid? PLus warranty is a non issue. Not going into it for like the 1,000,000,000 time. If you like toyo sold fluid, keep using it. I will use other since Toyo quality it not what it once was.
  4. If you were in Texass I would say this is the norm. Chip repair is all over since insurance is null in this area.
  5. I agree they have filters for most apps, but they are NOT the best on the markert. Based on SAE tests, Amsoil oil /EAA filter blow them away. Hence the higher price. For me, best is great Cap/Eff standards which NAPA gold/wix is missing. As I stated for years, do a UOA and see the diff.
  6. for me you could not give me a K&N.been there and done that. sensor issues and high Si...Not in my engines. YMMV
  7. I get iridiums for the normal everyday price...I am going back to normal plugs since iridiums is for longevity and that is it.
  8. You can use a OBDII/CAN reader and see the readings on the O2 sensors and see what they are doing. OR check the readings with a meter. A clean burning engine will make them last longer.
  9. Lexus does not even use iridum plugs from the factory...NGK plugs will work fine for $2 each.
  10. Yes, by all means, and give Lexus a certain/sure reason for voiding your warranty. oh please! Lexus is way behind the times on fluids...Then again if someone thinks color of ATF means something you are better then superman... Amsoil ATF is WAY over Lexus fluid( lexus does not make fluids)
  11. Maybe I am wrong, but the EAA filters where not around in 2006 here. So how could someone have one????? Amsoil will not make filters for autos unless there is a major demand...My next filter will be there EAA filter. My levels in UOA (just got one backl) are fine using paper so it will be cool to see how it does compared to paper.
  12. call me mr. pita but people here own some $40K+ cars and are complaining about gas prices????Come down to texass: pump on one side and sell on the other. Prices are the same as up North.. For me the gas in my car is not the issue (could careless). Issue is diesel since all items are trucked in and food is a joke....That and copper prices... I hope the oil market falls out since it is way out of wack.
  13. Keep it up! :) I know around here, businesses like this and other services are slow..People need money for gas and food not other things. I cannot say I blame them.
  14. I disagree here. I am paying 80% for "Inspect " things...my god You can do the samething yourself in about 1-hour for 90% less. For me, it is sad that a little service like this cost $700. I could do all this above by the time it would take to drive to a stealership and come back...For me, I can put the money I save by doing it myself to other items I need completed (easy). I bring my car in for items I HAVE to (so far once) in 7+ years...My lexus dealer does NOT provide a loaner unless it takes longer then a day servic. YMMV.
  15. You replaced the one the DTC says too. I would not agree with the once one goes deal.
  16. I have been doing the same. For me, the sticker on the door means jack <you know what>. THe sticker does not know what size tires you have.
  17. I would have the read about it..a 600cc big, should be able to get that. I get over 50 mpg if I wanted to.
  18. yea, it is normal wax. Lasts a long time but does not do much for gloss etc. Side not, it was not invented for cars either. $40 for wax is cheap. For me, the best is what things are important to the end user. If I want to get a customer back soon I would use Nattys wax since it does not last. If I will mostly never see the car again (trading in) use a filler and be done. If the customer is a long timer, they get JW stuff and CG5050 and some quickshine when done.
  19. I agree with thomas.ahart here. In my old city Toyo/Lexus where the same. Also the price depends on the market you are in so I would not say, $450 tops. A TB will cost more in LA then some city in AL. YMMV
  20. sure until the next gas station! LOL I have a gsxr and that is all I need for speed. Cars are overpriced and overrated.
  21. Out of Texass since the taxes and healthcare are a F'ing joke...
  22. Nice offer sure, it anyone has gotten them
  23. wow- but $70K.. I have a bike that beats the times by seconds and under $8K new.. So I saved $62K...alright! :D
  24. Out of all these, I dislike Nattys.. Longevity is about a !Removed! length in time!
