I woul do a search since I forgot (but I will look) But I buy my air filters online, and I not use OEM oil filters. They are nothing any better then Supertechs.
-
I agree 50 is thick but I use 15-40 in my diesel and works fine at -10 F. But in my post I made no ref to oil weights, just oil brand. I also agree "thin is in" but the delta increase in mpg (if you get any) will be offset by wears numbers. Being he is in FL should not be any issue. Not saying I would use it in my car but my tractors loves thicker oils. Most times thin is because of EPA issues. Ps. Also I would have to see the cSt rating on the oils. Most times that are on the low end and made to thin over time; based on design.

To me, both are fine filters to use. I use fram on my GSXR and walfart on my lexus. Unless you are doing oil testing, in my eyes, pictures are worth nothing. I need to see the wear numbers. For the price, walfart filters are damn good. Also if you go by pics, Fram and Toyota are the same construction from pics I have seen.

Preventing Dust Attraction On Exterior Paint

Finish with FK146, Fk425 of CG speed wipe. -
Welcome to LOC. :) Well the oil debates go on forever and have been talked about more times then anything. Most times I am involved since it was a huge “hobby” with me. Answers..I hope A ) Castrol syntec is a good german made oil. Group 4 based and green in color (was gold). Some engines like it some do not. B) Oil baffle and no it can not be removed to look inside. C)I do not do “drain-flush-refill”. For me I say it is a waste of time and resoursces. Drain and do proper oil change. D) The socket for OBD should be under the steering wheel. Reset is either pull battery cable for like 15 minutes OR have a code reader like me and reset it. Not stupid man, questions are good but in general try to use the search since the old info is great. Just a global statement

Preventing Dust Attraction On Exterior Paint

Some products from CG and Fk have anti-static in them. Work good too. -
My post is shorter, I would say steam clean the engine and coat plastic parts and hoses with product that can be applied to both (water or solvants based). Chemical guys has some good stuff cheap! I do this (1) per year; no more, no less.

I can only find it online for $109 plus free shipping. But I found a 10% of deal so I might try that. I had a PC then gave it away; but for 498 to my door!!!! .....

I still need to try the Optimum tire shine I got.LOL
-
You got it! :D If you have not tried it, TRY IT! Oh, I just got my ONR gallon in and their Tire Shine (TS). I want to test there TS this weekend.
-
Well I will have some free time tomorrow at work (do not tell) so I will look for ya!
-
QD works if you do it every day or two MAX. ONR works really well in same ammount but for me, the WW toels works better then a MF to dry. I like ONR to clean then JW AJt to seal...comes out mint.

Will Mixing Synthetic Oil With Oil Cause Any Problems
mburnickas replied to molocka12's topic in General Maintenance
I will let you know how the dino oil does. About 50% done on a drain. Also using ST filter's since I ran out of Wix's. I had VERY good luck with Amsoil but I really like to see how the LC does since if it give me the same outcome, but cheaper price, that is what I want. As much as I would like to use there air filter, I had bad luck with it in my diesel. I killed to many sensors with oil glazzed filters. Back to paper. I might have to try there oil ftilers but need to get the dealer price from family dealers. I am putting on less and less miles so it becomes hard to justify the higher price for oil with less(er) miles. -
Pakshak is WAY too high, They want $39.95 for a gallon of ONR. I just paid $30.00 for the same thing ($29% less- be here in 3 days). Again, pakshak might be nice but they are overpriced.

What are the quality of the towels though? Nice. No tags ( THANK GOD) and a good deal. In fact I just got an email this AM saying happy holidays from Rob. The site is www.wcdetail.com

First off poorboys S&W is ok for light to lishgt med dirt. I would NOT use it over salt etc. No way. I have used about 2 gallons of the stuff and have 3 qts left. After that, bye bye. I would use ONR for washings in northeast. I live in MA.

Not stirring the pot here so... I do agree SW but there are a lot of other places (well known on autopia) that without discounts are cheaper then pakshak from of the start (and just as good). TOL (top of the line) is one I think of, excel is a great site, Poorboys (steve price are way too high for my liking), Danase is one I like (owner; bob gets back within hours and prices matches to "anything" out there he has).Plus has free shipping weekends, 10% off and will have an upcoming christmas (can I say that word in todays world) sale. I know there are about 3 others I just cannot remember then sites since I do not go there. Clearkote is good but I do not like to pay retail is my point if I do not have too. there is a site I go to for all my MF towels since no one can touch his prices. I will seee if I can find the site. Order 60 MF towels 4 months ago.
-
Not being a pain but pakshak has high(er) prices. I would not buy from them.

No. I will be the smart a$$ and say how many people worry about cancer in smoking or in changing oil. Or drinking. Or flying with a guy with more radiation then a used fuel rods. Then again a study by Insurance people...hmm

Will Mixing Synthetic Oil With Oil Cause Any Problems

No on the ASL. I do use their Series 3000 diesel oil in my Kubota tractor and was thinking about trying there new DEO oil. ASL always went up a grade for me in my ES; but, now I am told the basestock is fixed and this will not happen. I am using in my ES and wifes car, do not laugh, Chinamart 5w30 and LC20. I am trying this to see the outcome since LC20 made a HUGE difference (unreal) in my last oil test with Amsoil. Dyson analysis said this is normal for LC. Going to see how it does with a group 2 oil (with LC20). If it does the same as Amsoil ASL (nothing else added) I am staying with chinafart oil and LC. I might try there Ea oil filter since per some people and oil testing people it is the best full flow filter out there. Problem is the price; $13 per filter. -
Heat no work? What kind of heat? Acetylene torch always worked in my past, but next time I might try Toysrme way. Anyother then Acetylene, will not work.

Art; I LOVE autopia.org forum so check it out. ANYTHING and everything is there. Been out there for almost 4 years. My OCD is now into detailing, again; off from my Reef tank and RC heli's. You think detailing takes time and money. Try them. It is like SW03 got me turned onto ONR (THANKS MAN!!!!). Just ordered a gallon for $30 and their Tire shine for $19 per gallon. Can't beat that price. Wife got a little mad today since I ordered a few..cough, ,:whistles: , things from chemical guys. Check them out. Going to try their 5050 wax; since I hear it is very good. I still think JW product are the best bang, shine and longevity out there but that is me. But going to see if topped with 5050 helps. Ha, only $$$$$ :):):) Oh. sorry..here are some links for the 7336. Hope they help yea. Now just need some LC pads..:) http://autopia.org/forum/machine-polishing...?highlight=7336 http://autopia.org/forum/machine-polishing...?highlight=7336 http://autopia.org/forum/car-detailing/600...?highlight=7336 http://autopia.org/forum/machine-polishing...?highlight=7336

I use a rotary but I remember reading, hope I am right, that the only diff is the counter weight and 336 is cheaper. Just be careful with used ones, they dont last forever, and will require maintenance.

Dex 3 and Toyota IV are 2 completely diff specifications. Amsoil ATF is an odd but special thing. It can be used in both apps just fine.
