  1. Ya that's what I never could figure out without breaking stuff. I just added a second plug down at the driver's kick panel LoL!
  2. Ya that's the key. I only took those & put them on CL & 2003 LoL! Ive always found it amazing that about every 6-9 months on CL for the alst few years. Someone will just "discover" the cabin filter vent & everybody goes wild. LoL! It's not like I was the first person to find it either, I was just the first person to put pics of the thing on there. http://www.clublexus.com/gallery/showgalle...p;condition=and
  3. If you figure it out, let me know 'cause I need to change mine too.
  4. i know what aio and sg are & how they work. ;) i really like giving the SG afew hours to cure before applying more.
  5. Flush / change every fluid in the car Clean the intake manifold/throttlebody/IAC valve/EGR valve Inspect for oil leaks at the usual places Change the plugs/inspect the plug wires Timingbelt & Drive belts, water pump Thermostat & Pressure cap Check cv boots/axles Something like that. 200,000 is just a number. Same as any other.
  6. When ma deuce speaks... Everybody listens.
  7. AIO is no prep but a good cleaning. Eventually you'll get into claybar & polishing before hand. AIO the car in the wipe on wipe off method. From there, apply SG in the same manner. Come back the next day & apply more SG. Wash the car if it's been anywhere.
  8. Probably an exterior leak. Just a gasket.
  9. My understanding of most DOT laws is that the cover can be whatever you want. The light emitted must be yellow. Is it a yellow cover that you can remove, or is it something you can dissasemble & take out a yellow filter? (like all the previous lights)
  10. The good news. Toyota dealers sell their bottles really cheap & it's the same paint. The bad news. They have no idea what the two color silvers are on the two-tone cars. They can neither look it up nor order it!
  11. Its just a pipe you slip over something (a wratchet handle, or wrench) to give yourself more leverage. ^ now that is a breaker bar - which is purpose designed to be cheap, and hold more torque than a wratchet without breaking. Oddly... The only single time I have ever used my 1/2" breaker bar on my ES (and god knows I've taken almost everything off, or out of it atleast once), was my front cam sprocket's bolt.
  12. Anywhere! There's always room! That's how I did mine. on my 3vz-fe.
  13. It depends on what you're looking for. Anyone can use a brush to do it (Please get rid of any rust first), but it's going to stick out from the rest of the paint - the color will match, but it won't be even. Like lexusk8 said. Stick to using a toothpick. Autopia owns. http://autopia.org/ http://www.guidetodetailing.com/articles.php?articleId=27 Lexus/Toyota/Scion paint is abot the same as about everyone else. It comes in a little bottle & has a brush you SHOULD NOT use b/c it's too big & puts down 2 much paint. Don't fear it, just take your time. At worst - all you're doing is keeping the plastic bodypanel from wearing. At best, you're paying what? $5-10 bucks instead of paying for new paint. ;) How good of a painter you are on a car is *always* directly proportional to the amount & quality of the prep work you do. Doesn't matter if it's the tinyest scratch, or repainting an entire body panel.
  14. I use my 3/8" wratchet with a cheater bar, or my 1/2" wratchet. Once you do it the first time, torque them to spec when you put them on - you won't have that problem anymore. ;)
  15. A transmission is designed to shift.... Shifting it in any manner you want too will not hurt it.
  16. Just remember josh. The #1 enemy is anything that will kill you. That does include falling into oil pits. ;) keep your eyes open over there man. Love ya! I know yall have no service & stuff, but Im gonna be on meghans !Removed! about getting your APO.
  17. Ya. :( I love their ATF, its just so expencive!? It's the only choice once you start putting some torque through these things tho. You'll like m1 synthetic oil. It just so much easier to buy & is so close to being that good lol! If you're going to long drain it - shell the extra $4 for the EP too. Same thing as classic, but with 3x the UAO's! woot!
  18. No problem. :) Everybody always forget the powersteering flush. Everybody *really* always forgets the differential change! LoL! Do it! You won't believe the funk smell that ATF has too it if it's been in there a good 10 years.
  19. Yes, all Camry platforms have an A/C filter. Few are installed by the factory. Disinfect / de mold everything first. If it's musty, then something is growing in your damn car. A filter is just going to cover that up! Check your sunroof too. Many times the actual problem is that the sunroof drains are clogged, and water spills into the car & you won't notice. Blow 20psi of compressed air into the drains, then blow 40psi into them.
  20. Dexron III replaced Dexron II Dexron III ATF is your: ATF fluid Differential fluid Powersteering fluid Flush the transmission (Or drain the pan twice+, driving around alittle bit in between draining) Drain & refill the differential Flush the powersteering fluid.
  21. Just check the wiring diagram in the 97, or 01 ES factory service manuals.
  22. I loved my silverstars. Still have them in my high beams. My suggestion is buy the $7 sylvania bulb. It's every bit as bright (Actually a hair brighter), so the color temperature is a little lower (i.e. it's not as "white" a light as a silverstar.) Any store selling anything automotive should have both the normal sylvania bulbsfor less than $10usd, AND the silverstars for around $20-25usd. (20 being the real street price) Replace them both, and re-aim the housings. You'd be surprized how many people blind others, and how many simply dno't have them aimed up & out enough to get a good pattern. You can take this another step too, put some new sylvania bulbs in your fog lights too, and do the fog light relay mod so you can turn the lights on without the low beam being on. ;)
