I was driving up I85 from Concord, NC...35 miles later... As I got within a half mile of my exit I felt my transmission downshift to third gear (I think). To counteract to the lost of speed I increased throttle and notice a slight increase in RPM, but a second later my RPM was at 0 and engine dead. Does anybody know what could of happened? My engine had a slight burnt plastic smell, no popping noise from engine were audible, nor was there any visible oil/coolant leakage. It was dark and I couldn't do a full check but will return tomorrow to check fully. Thanks in advance for the diagnoses. ~daovang Also, three days ago my coolant mysteriously leaked massively. My brother refilled it and told me it had stopped. The source of leakage is still unknown. And today it died.

My engine mount has been rotted away for 6 months now. I know I should replace it, but school has been bogging me down. But my problem is that the car rattles when I turn and accelerate. Can it be the torque converter?

Hello everyone. My 1995 ES300 (190,000miles) is having a weird problem. When I slowly accelerate my transmission or something rattles and makes my car shake. It seems the transmission is not getting into gear or something. What are you thoughts on this issue or what do you believe is wrong with it? , dao_vaj

Looks very nice, but there is too much wheel space between the fender and tire. I'm thinking about getting me rims now also, but are those 16 or 17 inches?

The left rear speaker pops loud, while the right rear pops more quiet. Don't know what is wrong...could it be the deck?

I've heard that tires with low profile can degrade the ride quality; do you feel any difference?

I thought so, but the front speakers still work.

I don't think OEM glass should fog up like that though. Maybe he has aftermarket tint film as posted? Either that or the glass is not OEM, but cheap replacement? My car has been driven 10 years by my dad before it was passed on to me, and not once has that occured.

I posted a similar thread in the audio section, but the ES300 section would contain more people familiar with the ES300 system. My 6x9s died and I think its b/c of the amp. I would like to by-pass the OEM amp(or take it out completely) and power the rest of the speakers using the OEM deck. Is it possible to run the wires from the OEM deck straight to an aftermarket amp? Any help will be appreciated, "daovang"

Hello all, Recently, I've installed an Alpine amp(240watt) and a 10 inch sub to my ES300. I am running off the stock deck and the sound to amp is possible via a speaker level converter on the amp. My problem is that yesterday when I tried to power the rear 6x9 with the amp the 6x9 stopped working. It speakers still pops but no music comes out of it. I have no clue to what could have happened. Any help or clues to why the 6x9s in the rear stopped working would be nice. Any help is appreciated, "daovang" Additional notes: OEM amp is still being used, and it heats up super fast sice the rear speakers died.

I've heard people shorting their cars using these type of device. But you did mention "Or, take the Superex into the house and recharge it with the supplied AC adapter. " I'll surely try and get back on its results. Thanks for the advice.

Toysrme, aren't you the Lexus god? I was hoping you could help me out. It has been a b*tch to push the panel in and out every time I have to charge. Looks bad when I have passengers. Well, does anyone else know? I know that, but I can't figure how to pop the d*mn thing out to splice into it. I tried the fuses by the driver panel, but those made weird noices when I have my Ipod connected.

Hello, I've been looking to find a 12v wire so that i can add a cell charger in my 95 ES300. I could use the cig lighter that is already there, but having it opened at all times is sort of pianful for the eyes to stand. I would like to find a 12v I can splice into, let it be the cig lighter or not. Any help is, as always, appreciated. Thanks in advance, "daovang"
