  1. I'd take it back one more time, (ruler in hand) and not leave until you were satisfied.
  2. $30 dollars......but I don't know if they were being nice because I had 3k worth of other work done also.....timing belt, transmission flush, coolant flush, water pump, thermostat, transfer case fluid replaced.
  3. Houston to Laredo Mexico x2. As soon as you cross the border the nav screen is nothing but.......sand.....but you can leave bread crumbs and trace your route and follow your way back like.....what is that nursery rhyme? Houston to Austin Houston to Plantersville
  4. I actually had to do this today. Pry off from both sides a little at a time, the clip is on one of the sides of the shortest part of the housing. I did not have to use a towel. I did not scratch the paint. I used a flathead but it could have easily been done with the trucks key.
  5. Yeah I know. But look on ebay. Sometimes they are hard to find but when you do they are at least half that price or less. Ahhh I don't know why it posted 3 times. Whoever manages these things can take it off if you'd like.

  8. They should all fit and all be glass. I agree the blue/green tint is different. But get ready to open up your wallet if you buy from the dealer. They are $500.00........................each. Try ebay and also get you a 4300k HID kit and you will be set.
  9. Usually when I pay attention it stays around 22-23mpg. But the past few tanks I have not been so "lead footed". I use Shell V-Power and have the factory Bridgestone tires. I do the math on my phone just about every tank. I divide the miles I drove which is usually about 280-290 miles on a tank by how much fuel just went in. I almost always come up with 19. I did that a few days ago to see if the gauge was correct. For some reason the gas gauge thinks the tank is lower than it is. Tank holds 17 gallons? I always drive it till after DTE states 0 and I can only squeeze at the most 14 gallons. And I was at around 380 miles on one tank. Which is around 27mpg.

  11. Honestly you need to get the other side replaced too. New struts are firmer than older ones and need to be replaced in pairs. So I can see why the truck is having a hard time staying even when the old is softer and will be more bouncy while the new firm one soaks up the bumps without bucking. This gives you the uneven bounce. So if I were you I would pay and get the other strut replaced and then see how she rides. If it does not fix the problem, then continue with the complaints.
  12. Smooth1.... You used the brush and everything that came in the box? And what kind of clear coat did you finish it with? I'd like to try this some time. Anyone have suggestions on what color would look best on my car that is Smokey Granite Mica?
  13. First of all I have started to notice a intermittent tick coming from inside the b-pillar when going over rough roads or bumps. I am 6 foot tall and my ear is against the pillar when driving. I have been trying to diagnose it myself and was finally able to duplicate it by pressing on ANY part of the door while closed from the outside even when the car was not in motion. If the door was on open then it would not happen. So I narrowed it down to the big metal ring that holds the door closed. I tried to jiggle that part to see if it would duplicate the noise bit I could not get it to move. So I gave up for a few weeks and still would hear the noise. So finally, determined to figure it out I made an appointment next month for them to check it out with my next oil change. So now I wait till December. Well I decided to take a 4 hour trip to Austin this weekend to see some friends and wanted to try one more time to fix the problem myself. So I go out to the car and wrap a towel around the big metal ring and pull as hard as I could and no sound.....until I let go.....and I heard the infamous pop!!! It was the part making the noise!! But now how to get it to stop? I took a butter knife and wedged it underneath between the plastic and the metal door and there were a few more loud pops and then nothing. Perfect!!! No matter what I do now the noise is gone!!!!! I also got pretty good gas mileage too. I usually am pretty heavy footed and I am sure some of you have gotten better with their 3.5L Picture 1 ) The popping part.... Picture 1 ) Tank average, I got it up past 28.5 but I got a picture of this.... Picture 2 ) I don't know if this is an average of all tanks or what. hinge.bmp mpg.bmp avg.bmp
  14. Does it leak only when it rains or even when it's dry outside? The reason asking is because the drain holes might be plugged if it leaks and there is no rain, meaning it is water that has been trapped inside after rain. The force of air from driving may push out the remaining water out through the inlet holes. I dunno it's just a thought. Get a shop vac and put it in reverse blow the drains out. Come to Texas if you want Lobster. Papadeaux has a special every Tuesday from 5p-close. All you can eat Lobster for 44.95. I ate 8 of them last time.
  15. I like the black with the white letters, red with black letters. You think it would look good on my 09 IS350, smokey granite micha. Or maybe even that IS-F blue would maybe look nice.
  16. Lately I have been getting really good gas mileage. On my tank right now the computer is averaging between 27-28 MPG. I never thought I could get it up that high with the 350. And I am not even trying to save gas either. I bet I could gain a few points if I drove in a sort of "econo" mode.
  17. Lexus wanted over $500 to tint the entire car. I went to an aftermarket place near my house and it was only $180.....with a lifetime warranty.
  18. Sorry to hear that. Maybe open the sunroof and visually inspect its track and see if there is any debris in the way. Also dispense some water in the drain holes if you can find them and see how quickly they drain, if at all.
  19. Hello, That sounds low, I have a 04 and I get around 19-20 if my wife drives and around 20 -22 when I drive. I use 89 octane, BP or mobil gas. Whats the mileage on the car, hows it running, could be a simple tune up, vacuum leak, bad gas, etc. More info on the car will help. Highway driving I get around 26-28 m.p.g. Tim Thanks. My ES330 is now 55k miles. Running with Esso 87 gasoline. Before that I used 89 gasoline which makes no difference. Sounds everything is ok. I checked the air filter this morning, it sounds ok too. But do not know why, should I bring it to a dealer or somewhere else? Yeah it's build up of junk from using regular gas so I am not surprised. Get a tune up, all filters changed and maybe some injector and fuel system cleaner. Then ONLY get you some premium fuel. I like Shell V-Power that cleans junk everytime you fill up your tank.
  20. Nope for the GX. Recall is for the following... • 2007 - 2010 Camry • 2005 - 2010 Avalon • 2004 - 2009 Prius • 2005 - 2010 Tacoma • 2007 - 2010 Tundra • 2007 - 2010 ES350 • 2006 - 2010 IS250 and IS350
  21. You use premium fuel? If not that might eliminate some of the problem.
  22. 700 dollars aint bad! I'd take it while they are offering. Those extended warranties are junk and they are pretty firm about what is covered and what is not. They are only worth it if you worry about engine or transmission failure. Besides that alot of anything else isn't covered. I'm sure there is a 6 inch thick contract of the extended warranty waiting for you to read it. Post a picture of the crack if you have time.
  23. I'd test drive it and if the suspension is smooth then you're good to go. Also put the height on "hi" and then "lo" and make sure it will do both. You will know if the accumulators are bad as it will sit in the lowest position and bounce like crazy. The upkeep of the system is not expensive. Only when parts need to be replaced. Getting the system flushed costed me at the dealership like, 30 bucks. And I've heard typically the accumulators last around 10 years or 100k miles. My 98 LX470 is past both of those marks and the system is still in perfect working order. When the accumulators go "flat" you are looking at around 800 dollars a peice, and there are 4....one for each wheel.
  24. You may be right. However, the headlights of my RX350 (also adaptive) don't 'jiggle'. Yeah I must admit that the jiggle over expansion joints and normal rough roads seems a little unwarranted. There may be a legit problem with his car. I only have seen it going over VERY uneven roads such as a rail road crossings.
