  1. I know this is a long shot but... 2000 LX 470 w/ 126,000 Miles 2nd Owner Excellent Condition Third Row All Scheduled Maintenance including Timing Belt, Water Pump, and All Fluids Working Nakamichi 6-disc Sound System as well as AHC Suspension New Rear Pads/Rotors and New Front Pads Two Sets of Wheels/Tires One with new tires Lexus and Toyota Dealer Maintained Grille has emblem now (was waiting on a new one when these pictures were taken) $13,500 OBO Too expensive for me to drive, looking to get back into a 4Runner after I had to sell mine E-mail with ANY questions or for more pictures! Here's the link: http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u42/Cvilleelk8807/LX%20470/
  2. When you throw a CEL code it automatically turns the VSC off, I'd go to a local auto parts store and get the code read, then go from there.
  3. Just installed an o-nex 3000k fog light kit into my truck and I have some questions about it. How yellow is this kit supposed to be? All the pictures I have seen have super yellow but mine are really pale. Also, my passenger side bulb has a different color to it all together with a rainbow like effect depending on what angle you look at it. Do I have bad bulbs? Here's two pictures:
  4. I actually figured out what it was...there is a switch on the side of the transfer case that tells the ecu that the diff is locked. If the center diff is not locked often enough that switch can stick so I had to exercise the diff lock a bit and it starting working perfectly.
  5. I was quoted, by the only lexus dealer in dayton, 250 dollars to do a simple AHC fluid flush...that seems unbelievably high. How much have y'all paid to have it done?
  6. oh wow I had no idea they would be 500 bucks a piece...I don't think i want them that much, and mine are in great condition anyway. Thanks for the info!
  7. I am looking to replace the headlights on my 00 LX and I was wondering if all the years are compatible or if they changed with the grille/bumper redesign in '03? I really like how the newer ones have a bluish tint to them.
  8. I just bought a '00 LX on friday and so far I love it butttt... There is one thing that has really got me stumped after buying it. When I was on the test drive I tested locking the center diff and I could feel it lock but no lights came on the dash and the "VSC OFF" didn't illuminate either. I can feel the 4WD being engaged but those bulbs do just not light up...and the VSC isn't burnt out cause it comes on to self check when I start the car. I have no idea what's up
  9. So I have just found a 2000 LX470 for sale w/118k miles for 12k. It looks like a pretty good deal and has seemed to have the necessary maintenance completed but I have a few questions before going to check it out: 1. Since it is a 2000 I have heard about transmission failures and bad exhaust manifolds...this one has had both replaced by the lexus dealer under extended warranty, should I be good to go? The tranny has been maintained since new. 2. We have a 98 LC right now but I am new to the whole AHC system. I have read about bad actuators and the need to flush the fluid in the system but everything has confused me. What is essential to look for when I inspect it? 3. There is a spot in the pictures on the rear tailgate of an area that either looks like fading clear coat or wax residue...what do you guys think it is? 4. Anything else you think I should know?
