  1. The wireless ant is on the rear window. The connector you found is for the cell phone.
  2. I use rain-x but have heard aquapel is beyond that. I have a sample in my trunk i keep meaning to try but keep forgetting i have it.
  3. The buttons are the homelink transmitter. Get a free owners manual by registering at www.lexus.com To program you need to hold the button you want to program until it changes its blinking pattern then press and hold the transmitter button until it changes again. It is more complicated if you have a rolling code garage door opener.
  4. Sorry i no longer tell anyone to search , if it is answer they seek then they will have to search . I just post the newbie thread link and leave it at that which is the same one in my sig.
  5. Before they fill it they should be doing a nitrogen pressurization to make sure there are no leaks. Also every Lexus has the space for a cabin filter just most early 90's models were not ordered with it in place.
  6. Run the car with just the new battery , if it fails again then look at your alternator being a problem.
  7. If your battery light is on then you have a charging system problem which needs to be adressed first.
  8. It affects the RX model the hybrid forum is for hybrid related topics. This does not affect the GS450h as well does it?
  9. Can you open your glove box with the key also?
  10. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...t=0#entry198695
  11. You don;t need to know anything about Lexus keys ,it is a basic system that looks for you to lock and unlock your doors in a sequence to activate its remote start system. They just need to have the proper schematics.
  12. I would also check your filter for it being clogged and slowing the airflow. Also low freon will cause the temp not to be as cold until the cars engine is run at a higher speed for an extended time to pressurize the system properly.
  13. I would suggest find out from a radar forum which will give you people who are into the hobby with lots of experience as most of us are amatures at it. They do work though by sending multiple scrambled data to the gun so it reads an error ,most officers know this and will reaim at you and shoot ,hopefully you early warning system has alerted you and you slowed down in time. They can only work for a few seconds and get very hot. Usually placed above your front plate.
  14. Agreed, the resistor in a box is a waste of time as Toyota uses a learning curve ECU, which means after 10 minutes the computer figures out the values have changed and will recalibrate for it. So any change is now non existent The bra is better left for those with time and experience especially if you have a nice car and would like to keep it that way.
  15. agreed but i did stay in a holiday inn express last year at Lex fest so that would make me an expert,i think
  16. In japan there is a camera that goes up there instead so you can watch the thief.
  17. The dimensions will be larger as well as having different seat heaters and a memory position with separate ecu's to combine the mirrors as well.
  18. It all depends where the leak is on how hard it is to fix it.
  19. GPS technology is one way. Meaning the car knows where it is in reference to the satellites. For a vehicle to communicate its location it would use cell phone transmission for location verification through cell phone tower triangulation. On star uses 2 way location thought both transmission.
  20. Usually in the $200-500 range depending on who installs it. check http://www.luxurymotorworks.com
  21. I agree with lubing the track
  22. Thanks , the idea of the UCF21 being better is from a new in warranty and still dealer maintained point of view. It has the least amount of replacement parts ordered and least mechanical breakdowns. This also compared to the newer LS430 which has more electrical bugs. So none of this info is from a bias of neglect as there impressions where from newer ones still. I like to drive , hell i drove 3 hours to go to a damn beach with my wife this weekend. Last year was D.C. for Lex Fest so this should be good . My wife now realises it is close to Florida and wants to go hit a cruise for a week as we are that far already.
  23. Got to agree no one asked about where to buy a fuse, beside all our cars come with extra spare fuses.
  24. If only one corner is down then it would likely be a strut or possible a line before a separating valve. If the whole rear end is down it is more likely a line. If your compressor was gone then the whole car would be down.
  25. Cluster removal http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/electrical/...entcluster.html
