  1. Hey there guys, I have a 1993 sc 400, and I'm planning to change the brakes and rotors soon. Any recomemdation I should know about. I'm more of a stock kinda of guy, no racing, just easy driving..slot rotors? drilled rotors? and what kind of brakes? thanks...
  2. Hey there guys..I've been having problems with my remote alarm. Seems like the remote would not work, therefor the alarm wont automatically alarm itself. So I changed the battery, and still would not work. So I decited to look at the on and off button option. I turned it on, and still does not work, I'm literally tired of useing my key to open my doors...any help will be appreciated..
  3. Hey guys..I have a 1993 Lexus sc400, and just the other day , as I was going to my car, I pressed the unlock button switch on my remote, to unlock the doors. Well, the doors did not unlock..So I decited to buy a new battery for my stock remote key..Still does not work? Do I check the fuse, or relay or what..I'm not sure what to do. I knwo if I do take it to the dealership, they would charge me a handfull? So, if any information will help...Thanks.
  4. Hey there guys!!! Just got a quick question. I have a 1993 sc400, and just wanted to know when you guys put that green button switch on (ec/power) do you burn more gas when it is on. Or does it matter when it’s off. My main concern is that will I save n gas while it’s off, because I know when it’s on I know the car has more power to it. But yeah, any feedback thanks!!
  5. Hello there everyone..just wanted to get some feedback on overdrive..When you go on the freeway, do you put the overdrive on? My main concern was just to save on gas. So do you guys normally have it on or off. Or would it just be as good as turning it off on the freeway?
  6. I'd say go with a camber kit. Normally when your car is lowered, you car tends to camber, and will wear you're tires more..I had a lower car before, and before I did that, I was sure that my tire's will wear out faster then usual. So I suggest you get a camber kit.
  7. Hey there!! I had the same question, for the past two weeks I was hearing the same thing..So I took it to a shop just a couple of days ago..From what I was told it was loose bolt from the controler arms and bushings. I though it first it was going to be a shock and sturts, but it turned out to be the bushing and controler arms that were just loose..hope this wil help..but also get a second opinion..
  8. Hey there guys! I have a 1993 sc400. Got a question on brakes. Right before I start my vehicle, I turn the ignition not all the way, but just enough where the interior lights go on. Where after I press on the brakes and I hear a slight click sound each and every time I Press the brakes. Remember the car is not on or running. I hear a click sound located in the shifter. What is that? Is that natural? Does it give me a signal of bad brakes? Pleas any help will do? Thanks…
  9. Hey there! Just had a question on suspensions. I noticed when I hit a dip or just an uneven pavement; I hear a little noise coming from the passenger side front wheel well. Don’t know for sure if the shock needs to be replace or something may had come loose. Any information is greatly appreciated.
  10. Would it hurt the engine if I use plus gasoline (89)? Or do you recommend using premium gas at all times. Any ideas or how you use your gas choices. Although the 1993 SC 400’s do require Premium gas only? What is the were scenario that can occur if we do you plus 89 gas rather than the premium gas. The reason why I ask is because the gas prices in California are so expensive these days! Thanks..
  11. Hey there! I'm new at this forum! So please bare with me! I purchased a 1993 sc400 Lexus just a week ago. As I was driving home, I noticed when I hit a bump or a small little pothole; I hear a slight little sound from the passenger right side suspension. My steering wheels seems to shake a little at time too! Don't know for sure if I need an alignment as well, but the two tire's in the front still has a lot of tread life in them, especially the passenger right side. I don't know if can be a shock or a bushing, I know that these car's are rear wheel drive, so no axles are located there. If anyone can provide me with some input of what may have caused this. I really appreciate it! And If anyone has a diagram desripton on the right side suspension, please email to me at rexysnavasca@yahoo.com
