  1. The scratches could have been caused by a lack of excessive soap. As well as not cleaning from the top(roof) down (wheels) to keep from collecting debris on the sponge. I use a meguires micro fibre mitt and use tons of soap. I wash the roof and glass section then the sides and back then the hood which has most dirt and debris plus is usually warmer. Then all the lower cladding and my wheels and mufflers last. I wash the mitt between every cycle. Then put it in the washing machine everyother wash. A micro covered sponge is going to press the dirt against the paint rather than absorb it.
  2. There are a few posts on the forum on people doing them. Just take 4 gauge amp power wire and crimp some gold ends on and undo the bolts and your done.
  3. The tweeter had a minor passive crossover made up of a cap and a resistor to raise hrz but that was all.
  4. I have my hotel rooms booked and am ready , anyone else going for the drive ?
  5. Sounds like a broke engine not a valve issue.
  6. You have no chance going up to a hemi ,it will eat you and most regular cars. Don't feel bad since they fill up at every 3rd gas station they pass.
  7. Have you used your LOC muscle and contacted spoiler depot ad reporting such a unsatisfactory product to all Lexus owners and other car forums you are part of which is a large number of dealers involved?
  8. OK , so it has to be in an"I" configuration which is straight up and down. When you say you took it apart ,what did you take apart? The adjusting bolt or the sensor? Sorry for asking so much questions but the dealer did an alignment on my car the other day and screwed up my adjusters. I had fixed it before but now it gives me the error on my headlights and still initializes the beams on start up. Also did the error come no as soon as you started the car or after driving a few short feet. Mine starts fine but comes on after 40 feet or so every time
  9. You have a dirty throttle body and your idle up bypass is allowing the engine to idle. Clean your throttle body.
  10. I had/have the exact vibration. I replaced my front strut rods at the dealer and 90% of it is gone. This thread is always in my heart though. I asked the advisor about motor mounts and drive shafts and they said they have NEVER replaced a single one on an LS ever.
  11. Most parts store do the scan for free. Or Buy a obd2 scanner from ebay for cheap.
  12. Time to upgrade to a 2000 LS for you now. :P
  13. It is a great unit and is as simple as it can be to install. Drive to LEXfest and they should be giving one away again this year.
  14. You can wash your engine but not jam the hose into places it can well up. A nice degreaser and a light mist from a power washer is good ,also make sure the engine is running during and it medium to hot to make any standing water dry quickly.
  15. After 10 years most grounds could use a freshing up. 4 gauge is best for main lines.
  16. need a new ecu. Also try and make your title mean more than you needing help.
  17. So your light is off? Did you move it up or down ,what did you exactly do to solve the problem? thanks
  18. I had an alignment done at the dealer and they broke my abs sensor as well as my headlight leveling seems to have an issue with the light on the dash also. It starts OK but after i drive about 100 feet it turns on the indicator on my dash. I am hoping it has something to do with the ABS sensor which should be changed shortly.
  19. Sea foam it in the engine ,intake and gas tank . You would need 2 cars and it will perk right up after that.
  20. I had an ES330 loaner and it did not have auto wheel or telescopic feature. As i do find it annoying at times ,i found i really missed it . I would never change it but would not mind a switch which would be easy to add by tapping the wire on the ignition to add a switch to the dash.
  21. This is going to be the only thread left! In future post one topic in one forum and live with it. Spam the boards like that again and i will feel quite happy to suspend you . I hate spam in my inbox and it is no different here. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...?showtopic=6407
  22. No change your mounts , you just moved the shift points to a less powerful engagment.
  23. 1/3 of the can in the intake but you add it to the oil and then drain it not keep running it as it is breaks down petroleum products . Depends on the last time you changed your rear wires and plugs.
  24. They are not normal 4 ohm speakers and as such will need a new amp if you are replacing them with aftermarket ones.
