does you abs light ever come one? it may be an abs sonsor in the hub the hub may have extra play causing the sensor to miss read and then display a code another problem might be the lines for the accumulator like a vacum one if it has one

i am only wrong if you want to split hairs on what degree of reducing speed it has you wouldn't lift your foot off the gas to slow a car down even slightly in an auto just to coast ( right ?) but in a manual no matter what gearyou are in, it will slow the car much more correct? amf that is why you don't refer to it as engine braking in an auto and flipspeed if you want to manually change the gear selection you can the biggest toll on the car are the engine mounts ( mainly the dog bone) when selecting the gear the tranny uses maximum pressure on the clutches for limited slippage use the ect button if you want better shifting points for faster acceleration hope this helps clarify

auto tranny don't have engine braking properties ( unless held in a lower gear) as the engine keeps the throttle open as compared to a manual which closes the plate and causes the engine to slow the wheels the tranny sounds like it is not behaving properly such as the throttle plate staying more open than needed ( higher rpms) which causes more force to slow the car down check one of the vacum lines what does the car idle at when hot?

very good advise but you already know you have a leak where is the only question so if you are going to change fluids you could try bar's stop leak or do it properly and find the leak by stripping the head off sorry i know you would have liked a simpler answer but i think you also knew that it was going to cost big money when you first saw the problem later :P

stevie is right do that give head office a call also they will probably give em **** and help you more as they usually don't stand for anything sub par i just got a free oil change from them because they sent me gas and the driver tried to tell me i had to pay $5 they said they update all driver and even said thanks so you never know

it could be used if you really wanted to but you would be basically getinbg another alarm put in the car and losing your power trunk in other words to get that feature from the remote is to lose another one the trunk probably being the least used one by rewiring the power trunk release wire so that it is leaving the theft system controller wire to start the remote starter another possibility is that you might be able to find an alarm that could differentiate a long press or a short press but the oem key fobs usually don't have a very long range in my opinion later hope this helps

well you are right on disatisfaction suprised they didn't offer to put the 3m stuff on now for free i am guessing you did call lexus head office not dealer i have a friend with a buisness partner who has a sc also it is daily driven i'll ask him to see if he has alot of paint chips what about the funny colour on itwhat did they say about that it might be the lead to press with to get some action also really suprised about the chrome peeling or chipping though

with the key off press the auto and recirc button together and then turn the ley forward it will go into diagnostic mode after it checks all the lights it will show codes on the display if any post what they are and check the manual to see what it says

thruthfully i can't remember if the older engine uses dex cool or ethyl-glycol cheapest way to check it is buy a 5 dollar prestone flush kit a jug of dex cool red coolant ( it can go in any system but the green can't) flush the system and see how it is i am not too sure if it also has the hydralic fan also check the power steering fluid level also as it is the steering fluid runnig the fan which is tranny fluid sorry i couldn't be much help as i have the newer engine 1mz-fe

i like your name wifenboys the engine is the same up to 93 but amyc didn't say what year 950 seems very high for a valve gasket better off getting the valves adjusted and they will put a new gasket in when replacing it which maybe they are already incorporated into the price

you may have bought the car with the light always on but burned out so the new cluster is showing it to you know there is a fuse for the computer to rest but you really shouldn't have changed it with the battery connected

yah anything is possible but for the price it would be better to sell the car and buy another one with nav or buy a whole aftermarket system with add on nav only car that is plug and play for nav ius the mercedes ml series they are already prewired somehow except the antenna so just a new deck with a screen and away you go

buy a 94 and up es they have a different engine and tranny much better car other wise spend a few hundred and take it to lexus for the full look over

ok you have lost me the only ones available to change to hid's are the high and low the other bulbs i guess you want the look of blue lights but not hids? not sure what the other ones are the inner ones i think a re yellow for the fog lights other should be a parking light

i am suprised there are any chips so fast any lexus usually lasts for a while before chipping i am pretty sure that there is no purple pearls in the red paint so take it to the dealer i am not sure if you have had a lexus before but in the first year especially they really look after you to replace anything for almost no reason bu tto make the customer happy see what they say and let us know
