  1. Go with a set off headlights that are from the rx the steering part will not work but for about 200-300 would work fantastic.
  2. Hey it is hard to go down from a Lexus no matter what your needs are. Although i would rather have a impreza (even an RS) over a 330 as it drive so nice. Knew you would be back around.
  3. Never used it and not a fan of any transmission treatment as it is made up of clutches soaked in fluid . Anything that cleans has a possiblity of softening the clutches as well as blocking solenoids and filters.
  4. Has the windsheild ever been replaced it may be leaking on the seam.
  5. the manifold is easy to remove to get at the injectors.
  6. It is in no way bad for the cats that is just someones bad rumour. If it somehow did dislodge large chucks of carbon then the cats would heat up and burn them off. At that point seafoam is the least of your worried if you have chunks of anything in the engine. I have run seafoam atleast 8 times and i passed 3 months ago with original cats show extremely low nox and zero CO . Use half in the engine intake and the rest in 1/2 a tank of gas.
  7. Is the tensioner on the timing belt good and has not caused it to skip a tooth? Fuel pump possibilities, heard of bad o2 sensors throwing it out also. I would be tempted to check the fuel injectors.
  8. I think a guy on CL in the canada section just posted saying he works there.
  9. This is from an LS but it is the same across all models using them just with or without cases being the difference and some have no flashlight , Run flats have tire pressure gauges as well
  10. Their is a mod to add 4 relays and play the audio through your cd changer connected to the audio wires before the amp under the passenger seat.
  11. I use it before an oil change twice a year. Call the napa first to see if they stock it as napa Canada does sell it now. It is $5 in the USA and over priced here. If I were you I might try and order a container from the states .
  12. For American cars their is no way to short the wires to read the codes as it is a 4 digits number starting with a P. I am not sure if the 95 was obd 1 or 2 . The 94 and older you could short the wires as it was obd1

  14. Arnott seems to be the preferred choice with lifetime warranty but some people have had problems with initial failures . Once they are installed and running they are fine without needing repairs again. I know nothing of the other company.
  15. The temp sensor is on the egr , do you know where the egr is?
  16. Let the engine run normally to heat it up and clean it up, you either have a bad maf, a broken egr tube or bad o2 sensor.
  17. Here is something of interest . If I have CEL fuel/air Code 25 and 26 and my car wont stay running does this mean the fuel pump is faulty? I cant hear the pump because I dont know where to find it on the gas tank inside the trunk. There is very minimal pressure through the gas lines and the fuel filter itself. I double checked bypassing my Fuel Pump ecu crossing Fp and B+ and there was no difference in trying to start. At first my engine had an erratic idle and would not accelerate then immediately would not start and run at all. I have about 9 volts running to the gas tank when the ignition switch is "on". Out of commission! Update It turns out that I had a faulty 02 sensor that needed replaced- this problem actually cut off my fuel supply. I found that the fuel pump is directly in the middle of the fuel tank visible only when you remove the back seat. __________________
  18. Start with the battery being bad ,then the starter eventually will get damaged by carbon tracking on the solenoid causing the resistance to be too high to engage the motor. The starter is the same as the Camry , solara , highlander , sienna , ES and RX all have the v6 3.0l 1mz-fe . Only minimal changes over the years , some come with different original manufactures depending on the who Toyota used as a part supplier for the month but all fit and cross over.
  19. If you are worried about leaks , put it on the highest setting so it raises to its max pressure. Leave the car for 2 days when you are not using it parked and do not start it. To make sure you can measure each corner at the beginning and the end of the test to make sure. It should lower a 1/4 over 2 days normally.
  20. I can hear the fan turn on as well as see a voltage drop on my display screen. The shroud is too weak to hold the fan as i thought about that initially. The fan blades are contained so they can't touch anything by design.
  21. No oem have window break sensors or shock sensors
