  1. Hey everyone, This might be hard to diagnose, but I'll try anyways. There is a squeeking noise coming from my rear driver's side shock or strut or something. It happens everyime there is weight put on it. When I sit in or get out of the car the noise comes. To make sure I pushed the left rear of the car up and down and the noise would squeek with every motion. Someone told me something has to be lubed or greased, but I would like to know what or if it is something bigger that is a problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. laberty
  2. my friend is a robotic engineer and he has visited a toyota plant where both lexus and toyotas were made... he said that the robots that made the lexus's were cleaned and maintained thoroughly and continuously throughout the day, where as the robots that were used to make the toyota's were left dirty and had minimal care and servicing... he also said that the lexus area was very clean vs. the toyota side and that the care and pride they put into lexus definitly it stood out vs. toyota... toyotas are still great cars... but lexus is their pride...
  3. It's nice! but ya, $3000 is not worth it... thanks for the link
  4. do you know of some quality body kits and perhaps where i could find them? thanks for the reply.
  5. I found this body kit on ebay. Does anyone know about this kit or has anyone bought it? It looks nice, but I am always weary about ebay... any comments or suggestions would be appreciated...thx in advance... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW i have a 2000 es300
  6. thanks guys! that was the trick. the lexus sensors must be really sensitive, cause i only used a little of the dot 3 fluid, the bottle is still full! and the manual says i shouldn't use an opened bottle. there goes $5 down the tube.. anyways, thanks again.
  7. thanks stevie, i will try that.. cause i noticed it happens more when i go around a curvey road or a slight uphill... and the abs light does not come on.. thanks for the help guys, i will let you know if it gets fixed.
  8. Hi all, We've had some really cold weather up here in Toronto lately and I am not sure if it has something to do with my parking brake light coming on while i'm driving. I have a 2000 ES 300 with 120,000 km's (not sure how many miles that is). It has never happened before and I know for sure that the brake is totally released. Has anyone had any similar problems or does anyone know what the problem could be... all help appreciated... thanks in advance..
  9. No problem, that's what this internet thing is good for i guess. Please let me know if it was the same thing that had to be fixed for you. Because if it is, then i might have to do the same and maybe lexus should know about this, if they don't already but aren't saying anything... anyways.. let me know...
  10. i had noticed the same thing in my 2000 es but it comes and goes, i think this guy had the same problem too and this is what fixed it for him. I think this is the same thing that you are experiencing too. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...howtopic=13363&
  11. thanks, i'll try that link. Sk, which dealer in the GTA are you talkin about?
  12. Thorough cleaning of the inside (carpets, dirt on doors, seats) and outside (removal of light surface scratches).
  13. Hi everyone, can any of you guys recommend me a good car detailing shop in the GTA (Toronto Area), preferrably the west part of the city. Someone with a decent price too would be good. I know there are a lot of shops but I went to one last summer and they did not do a good job, that's why I would prefer if someone who has had some good work done recommend me one. Thanks in advance.
  14. yesterday someone scratched my passenger doors with something, i think they rubbed up against it with some metal or something... the scratches aren't too deep, can anyone recommend any techniques or products to remove these... thanks in advance... laberty
