  1. You got it , i have to tilt it forward to adjust or see any of it. I can reach the temp knob a/c button ,auto and off but nothing else .
  2. any wheel and tire store ebay online you already know the inner and outer diamters for the rings. They look like these I have to get a set for mine as well since they are also custom . Here is an example , i have a 60.1 mm center bore but my rims have a nissan 66.1 bore. That means i need to get a 60.1mm I.D. with a 66.1mm O.D. that is all tehre is too it, you order them remove the wheels pop them into the center bore of the wheels and your off to drive with no vibrations. 1010 tier sells them if you serach you can find coupon codes for 5% off as well.
  3. No SW is right. Any bulb over10 000k and even some 8000k ones have to be painted blue as the arc cannot be snuffed enough to create the blue spark. Only 4000-6000 are clear lenses using the arc to create the differences. And yes hid's do defeat foglights as they over power them. They also are highly reflective causing poor weather driving to be worse because the water reflects back more at the driver. You need yellow fogs when ever you have HID's in order to cut the spectrum in those situations.
  4. You are not running the car on the road. The battery comes into the circuit as a buffer or capacitor .If removed the alternator will continue to work as normally it would only spike if for some reason you turned on you fan at high speed. The regulator is not made for spiking anything. So for the matter of layman's testing it will be fine to disconnect the battery terminal for a few seconds to note the differences .
  5. There is a thread on oil in the general maintance section. Read all you want in the multipage thread there. Every possible qeustiona dn answer you could need will already be posted there. If it is not then go ahead and post and monarch and MB will hash it out for you. thread closed
  6. I have a tv in mine. The metra deck is flimsy but you can fibreglass it to reinforce it. If you are adding a tv atleast change all the speakers and wiring for less than $100 it is a good investment.
  7. do a search for IACV too many threads on this subject.!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Water injection is used as a way to reduce intake charge temps by injecting a fine mist into the plenum .This reduces the temps and the chance of knocking which is very bad for a turbo. It allows you to run more boost but only works when you have water to feed the simple washer fluid like system. It is also stock on a Subaru WRX STI from the factory.
  9. Kyb makes most toyota shocks and i would also say the trd ones are as well since they are usually eibach springs and kyb shocks.
  10. Did i not mention what to do at the meet on Saturday when i saw you? The reason the 1mz-fe from 97-2001 has sludge issues is because of it having a higher internal temp for emmision related reasons. So you can upgrade to a lower temp thermostat and/or just keep up the maintance schedule always using synthetic.
  11. It is a have to add item to me as it keeps the wheel centered and without them you get a vibration that can only be fised by using the hub rings which are about $20 so it is an easy fix.It also helps disapate the pressures of the wheel
  12. 12000k is just to emulate the cut off or the edge of otehr projectors which create the purplish colour. They look nice but provide no light .
  13. Cheap price and you can order hub rings to match the 2 diameters so you will have no problem, but 67 is a big difference
  14. Please go to the general maintance section and read the massive thread there. No other oil threads.
  15. It is both lug and hubcentric. What was the center bore they made it fit and the car it was on? It came with a 60.1 mm bore.
  16. 13 is too high for a 2 to me especially from a friend. 1998-2000 is so far the best reliable LS . Ask any Lexus service department and they will tell you other than the normal wear parts it uses bushings especially front strut ones .
  17. Hey cardona. I stand behind Army I am not sure what always makes you think you know everything to have a last word. But give it a break the routine is getting real old real fast. There is something called experience and you may have it with many other cars but your "Lexus " experience is limited to your car and you owning it. You just started learning from this board , so leave the i always know stuff to someone who actually believes it. Lexus filters are large , they also have the normal particulate sump bag to screen any solids . So the filter only gets natural fluid contamination instead. Now of the hundreds of Lexus dealers ask how many actually stock the filters. How many they change per year? The answer is very few ,not because of the maintenance schedule but it just is not needed. Now if you buy gas from billy bobs shack of gas and love then you might need to have it replaced. Otherwise not everything that you have learned is always applicable to everything else. Take it with a grain of salt and concede that you are wrong that it always has to be changed. Do me a favour ,don't post trying to prove your point, thanks
  18. it also has a boiling point that is very low 180 degrees F. So by it turning to a gas and vaporizing once the engine is hot it will be induced into the pvc system and burned off. Meaning it would only be in there for a short time. That means it will burn off rather quickly even before the engine reaches normal operating temps. I would use it before an oil change not after to remove gum and varnishes.
  19. could be a bad battery connection internally. i would double check the insides.
  20. Post in your thread you just made not make a new one where no one knows what/why your asking.
  21. Map yourself ,where are you,Find other local membersLOC map

  23. You have a bad connection to the battery. Either a ground or a terminal
  24. Look up at "my controls" it has a link to update your signiture. Does the light on the key light up when pressed? You may need to just reprogram the key to the car. But has the key ever worked?
  25. You should mention which Steve should PM you.
