  1. John, you must be in Europe? I was touring France and Italy in August and saw many tiny cars. It was amazing that the tour bus driver could maneuver around the narrow streets.
  2. Would you be able to take your vehicle to a different dealership? Our dash was replaced (no charge) after 9 or 10 years. Perhaps what you see is not common to many RX350s. Don't give up. Can you attach a photo of it?
  3. Okay, this website includes some auto stereo troubleshooting tips. Common Reasons For Car Speaker Not Working On One Side: Tips On Fixing It (audiocurious.com)
  4. Have you tried plugging and unplugging the connectors multiple times? Sometimes corrosion can prevent communication.
  5. Hello, Henry. Have you looked at: autotrader.com cars.com Carmax craigslist.com to see what private owners and dealerships are asking? Consumer Reports maintains that buyers of reliable brand vehicles do NOT need extended warrantees. Our RX400h is more than 18 years old and has never had a problem.
  6. Have you seen this video? Bing Videos
  7. Hello, Douglas. Have you checked the sound balance settings?
  8. Normally when someone loses his or her keys, that person calls an auto locksmith. The cost to fix varies depending on if only a key is required or a key and key fob. Perhaps you can call a few to compare.
  9. This article may provide clues: [SOLVED] How to Fix Car Stereo Volume Fades in and Out (caraudiowise.com)
  10. I would call the Lexus parts department person to describe what you see. Of course, it you could send this photo to an email address or text to a phone number that would be better. If that proves fruitless, can you cut off the angle remnant on the fitting shown on the left, and pull out the other half from the tubing on the right? Maybe then you can use tape to keep the two hoses together before driving to the dealership. to show what you have to the parts department person.
  11. Is the Digital key required to be used? I guess I am unfamiliar with the main purpose of this item.
  12. According to Car & Driver magazine, Side note: I have a Samsung 23 Ultra and would NEVER switch to an iphone. My night photos are amazing, I have up to 10X optical zoom, and my stylus can be used to: Remotely advance PowerPoint slides Remotely take photos and videos, up to 30 ft away Translate embedded languages Zoom in to very small text that cannot be pinch-screened Create instant hand-written notes and drawings alone or within photos. I am thoroughly spoiled!🙂
  13. I was lucky to be able to send my EBCM to ABSfixer.com for repair. It was $100 and thankfully, the board was soft-potted, unlike previous Corvettes. I would never specify hard epoxy as an encapsulant for a circuit board. A new EBCM would've been $1200 or so.
  14. I'm sorry none of those tips worked, Doug. It is perplexing to say the least.
  15. There could be several reasons why your Lexus GX470 is not starting with the flat key and transponder chip: Wrong Key: You might be attempting to use a key for a different vehicle1. Locked Steering Wheel: If the steering wheel is locked, you can unlock it by turning the steering wheel from left to right while simultaneously turning the ignition key on1. If this doesn’t work, it’s recommended to have the vehicle towed to a Lexus dealership as the key may be worn/damaged or there may be a problem with the ignition switch itself1. Battery Issue: If you recently changed or disconnected the battery, your Lexus may not start because it has lost synchronization between the key and the vehicle2. You can try pressing the Start button with the keyfob2. Key Battery: The battery in your key might need to be replaced3. Error Code: If an error code is preventing the vehicle from starting, you can try clearing the code with a code reader or by disconnecting the negative terminal for 5 minutes4. If none of these solutions work, it’s best to consult with a professional mechanic or your local Lexus dealership for further assistance.
  16. Back in the early 2000s when I had a 2001 Corvette, I had to resolder joints on a HVAC digital display circuit board because the display blanked out. Perhaps suppliers had switched over to lead-free solder and didn't do enough temperature or current testing. Many Corvette owners faced the same issue. Another was a fading HUD when ambient temps climbed. I never fixed that one, but it wouldn't surprise me if solder joints were the culprits.
  17. That's been done away with for a long time now. Years ago, the oil change service description was "Lube, oil, and filter".
  18. Yes. I would describe the issue to the Service person who should ask you to stop by to show it to her or him.
  19. If this were my vehicle, I'd take it to my favorite alignment shop. They are experts at not only alignments, but also suspensions and brakes. Sometimes what is not readily apparent to you, is "old hat" to the pros.
  20. Have all tire/wheels balanced at a tire shop. Discount Tire will typically do this for free. If that doesn't solve the problem, there may be a worn suspension component. An alignment shop can investigate and replace the worn component(s).
  21. Here's some good information about warped and glazed rotors: Why Do Brake Rotors Warp? | YourMechanic Advice Also, you may have air in your brake lines or a worn-out brake master cylinder.
  22. It looks like the method used on RX models in general includes these steps: Turn off your vehicle and disconnect the battery. Doing this will help prevent electrical mishaps or electrocution. This should not be necessary if replacing the bulb, only. Open the trunk. This will allow you to access the trim paneling on your vehicle. Remove trim lining. Using the small flat head screwdriver, pop out the plastic rivets holding your vehicle’s trim liners in place. Remove tail light from the assembly. You can do this by pinching the connector and pulling out the bulbs of each tail light.
  23. Your signature lists a 2016 ES350. I thought that you posted in the wrong section - sorry.
