  1. Did you already check with the dealership. That's where we bought ours, although many years ago.
  2. That does not look as if it came from the factory. Is it causing a problem?
  3. I've never heard of coil springs wearing out, although I suppose that in an area where streets are salted during snowstorms, springs could be weakened by rust. If your car has been used in CA where snow is rare or non-existent, then the springs should be fine. Has your mechanic inspected them?
  4. Another possible option is a Toyota dealership. I have saved hundreds of dollars by having them service our hybrid which has an identical powertrain as the Toyota highlander of the same era.
  5. Hello, Parker. Have you searched for a relevant youtube video. You can also be able to find the section of Factory Service Manual. This is what I do in order to determine if the task is something I can complete in a decent amount of time.
  6. Hello, Rick. Have you checked an OEM parts site such as this one? 2018 Lexus LS500 Parts - LexusPartsNow.com
  7. You may want to stop by a local detailer and ask if they can inspect your car. They should be able to confirm whether or not it had been treated.
  8. Hi, Sandie. Have you thought about Autotrader.com? Placing an ad in it does cost about $50. I have sold a few cars and some auto parts on craigslist, but I would not recommend going that route if you would be selling the car, yourself. I most recently sold a 2014 Mazda 3 to a woman who brough along her male friend. There is also Cars & Bids: Auctions of cool modern cars, trucks, and SUVs (carsandbids.com) I haven't gone this route but Doug DeMuro, the guy who started this sight, is a San Diego native. He previously worked for Autotrader.com
  9. Have you called tirerack.com? They may be able to give you some advice regarding this topic.
  10. Hello, Hugo. Have you checked for codes? How many miles are on your RX? We have almost 140,000 miles on ours and have never experienced what you describe.
  11. Hello, Joshua. It would be difficult for me to believe that this is NOT a great deal. Perhaps there were more than a few of this model cars on the lot?
  12. My best guess is that if they are the exact same height, width, offset and tire size, the calipers would clear. Would the seller return your money if there is an issue? I try to avoid spacers, but many sportscar owners use them with success.
  13. Hello, Robin. Did your dealership check for a Technical Service Bulletin that is described below?
  14. Many years ago, I noticed scratches on my car's hood. It turns out that the neighbor's cat would climb and it, and when startled by one us, opening the door, the cat would scramble off the hood, trying to get traction with its nails. There are at least a couple of ways washing a vehicle can cause scratches. 1. If your bucket does not have a dirt strainer, granules of sand can become trapped in a microfiber towel, and subsequently result in scratched in the paint's clear coat. 15. Sorry to see you go, Ed. Take care and good luck.
