  1. yeah i've always liked the look of the WS exhaust personally but i've never really heard it or seen anything about horsepower gains. i'm pretty sure i'm gonna have to get it profesionally welded and installed into the piping. i wasn't sure whether to keep the stock piping or go with something new or wider. got any suggestions? kev
  2. wow it's been a long time since i've posted on here... my post count has dwindled to like nothing now. oh well... ay hoebag... wha you think 'bout a ES3 wit the apexi WS exhaust? i sorta like the look of it... i haven't heard it personally, but i thought it'd be a pretty nice look. not like real big or anythin but still wit apexi quality. kev
  3. whoa neato. could there be another kevin on the LOC board? =) well... yeah, kevin i'm looking into the same thing. my dad weighs a good 200+ lbs. and so my front seat is gone. the seams are cracking and i can see the green cushion. <_< my rear seats are splitting on the cushion as well as the top of the backseat headrest. i hate texas summers... or actually texas heat and sun in general. i'm hoping to find some seats for cheap too. hope all goes well with the search. btw. welcome to LOC. if you got any questions, don't hesitate to ask. even though i haven't been on here in a week or two. <_<
  4. wow i just saw that commercial the other day... it was pretty sweet. wish i could actually drive one right now though <_<
  5. i wish i had rims to put on my ES. but i'm too poor. looks real sweet, es3.
  6. nope. there's no store anywhere online to buy any pre-cleared headlights for the '92-'96 generation. '97-'01 has a separate corner housing, so those are purchasable. sorry, bro.
  7. i still need to persuade my mom to get that filter. my gas mileage is horrible. i'm already down to my last 1/4 of a tank in my car, and i've only gone 240 miles. this is horrible. i don't get it. i don't drive hard very much at all. every now and then on the highway, i give it a bit extra gas, but it shouldn't be this bad. y`all got any ideas? i'm open for advice as to how to increase my gas mileage. thanks guys. :)
  8. bbsal covered it real well. basically the car's max hp is around the 4400rpm range for the 92-96's. the engine in normal will shift just over 3000 rpm or so. haven't really checked it out. but if you turn it on pwr, it won't shift until maybe 4500-5000rpm. thus letting you grasp the main section of the powerband to help you accelerate. kevin

    Go Karts

ooooooooh yeah... go kart-ing is the funnest thing... but you gotta find a place with well designed go karts. if they're done correctly, they'll take off like no other.
  10. wow... my car has all of these. light up key hole on outside. pull to turn on int lights, light around ignition key, pos trunk light (grr), no light under hood (pain when workin at night with my bulbs). that trunk light really needs fixing. it's a horrible light. i should go buy one of those underbody neon kits... and just stick all 4 tubes in the trunk... lol. but then that might blind someone from too much neon. lol. :D
  11. warped rotors are baaaaaaaaadddd... i have steel braided lines... GREAT feel... real responsive too. but my brakes are still solid rotors. hey sk, do you think after a rain accident. slamming on the brakes from about 40 trying to stop will hurt my brakes? because after the car came back, the brakes haven't been as smooth. there's no pulsating or anything... i can just sorta feel the pads not gripping as well. maybe my pads are dead. i'm not sure. got any thoughts?
  12. beautiful ES. both of y`all. the chrome rims look mighty tasty. :)
  13. lol oh wait that's right... got 'em flipped 'round. toyota names only in japan. oops heh. but still a GREAT lookin' car nonetheless.
  14. welcome aboard louislexus. i think i said that in the other thread too. lol doesn't hurt to say "hi" again. :D the forums are here to help and share information. hope it's been of good use. the search feature is there to look through past threads, etc. and all the mods are around if any questions arise. hope you enjoy your stay. :) kevin
  15. welcome aboard, louislexus. for the brake problem. i can't say anythin' that would give an answer. it's basically i guess what condition the rotors are in, and the type of pads. used. the only think i know is that slotted or cross-drilled. or a mix of both on one rotor will increase braking speed. that's all the info i know on brakes. lol pretty sad.
  16. yeah those pictures are from japan. the LS in japan is the Toyota Celsior. it goes by a different name. the US is the only place where the tag Lexus is used. all over the rest of the world... it's toyota. different, eh? :D kevin
  17. welcome to LOC, smax. it's a wonderful site we got set up here. the members here resort to no bashing. just be sure to read the faq's, use the search engine when needed, and if you've got any questions, the mod's are all over the place. :) enjoy the site. kevin ES mod
  18. looks SWEEEEET, steve!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
  19. the components won't really not work... but because the amp is low power and the speakers aren't very high wattage. the stock HU was designed especially to work perfectly with the components installed. it won't really not sound good unless you're an audio fanatic, but it would sound a lot better if you changed them out. i'm not sure how you calculated out to over a grand with new components. what components are you changing? those are quite pricery speakers if ya ask me. unless you're getting a really good HU. kevin
  20. the ES wheels will be exactly like plug-n-play. nothin new required. they are the same size and offset. no adjusting needed at all. they will fit no problem. kevin
  21. the early gen ES3's have a top speed of 125 governed. i'm pretty sure that was it. if you hit any higher than 125, your speedo is misreading, or you're getting extra speed from going down a hill. i remember a friend mentioning he went to a bit over 130 but he was going down a hill, so he got some extra help from gravity. i'm pretty sure the 92-96 ES's had a 125 governed top speed. kevin
  22. these rims are on ebay quite often... this isn't really a once-in-a-lifetime chance. it comes up pretty often :)
  23. no problem... tell me how they turn out. the brightness is a little low for me, but i'm used to seeing HID's and all, so the 100w output isn't much of a comparison to ANY HID kit. :D i wish i had $400 for an HID kit, but it's just too much for lights at the moment.
  24. sk's got it right. the ES is basically a luxury camry. it's smooth, reliable, and is a great daily driver. the supra 2JZ wouldn't be able to fit in the engine bay of the ES, and the ES is a FWD car, so the engine would not work with the drive platform. the SC on the other hand is a RWD sports coupe with the 2JZ-GE engine. the non-turbo version of the supra engine. that would be a perfect car for a supra engine swap. but man... that 'teg is SWEEEETTTTT!!
