Did you tune it as well, or did you just cut a hole? I have a nomagram around here somewhere if you need port sizes. With the fiberfill you can just glue it to the sides of the box so it doesn't get blown out by the bass. Let me know how it sounds if you do the 1lb of polyfill, you can get it at walmart in the art and crafts section. <_<

A ported enclosure will be louder, at the tuning freq, howerver I think you box is too small to port. Sounds like it may be a bit too small for sealed as well. Try adding some polyfill, about 1lb to the inside of the box and see if that improves your bass. Also make sure it's sealed tight. <_<

See the thread below this one looks like it could be a "recall" on a sensor? B)

Found this in my monthly Lexus email. Good info about normal alarm operation as well as options. B) Off the assembly line, every Lexus remote functions basically the same way: One click unlocks the driver's-side door. A second click unlocks the passengers' doors. This was done as a safety precaution. But it doesn't have to remain that way. Maybe you'd prefer the convenience of having all the doors unlock at once. Or perhaps you'd rather have just the driver's and rear driver's-side doors unlock on the first click. Any one of these scenarios can be accommodated with LPS. The process is simple. Next time you visit your Lexus dealer, let the service department know you'd like to have some LPS modifications made to your Lexus. They'll attach a special diagnostics computer to your vehicle (only Lexus service departments have them) and make the proper adjustments. The entire process can take anywhere from ten minutes to an hour, depending on how extensive the changes are. But how extensive could the changes actually be? While some models offer as many as 45 customer preferences, every 2005 Lexus allows you to modify these five basic features: Functionality of unlock button Flashing of signal lights (when remote is activated) Duration of cabin illumination Delay of headlamp turn-off Sensitivity of automatic headlamps Your first LPS modifications are complimentary. After 1,000 miles, a small fee may apply. For this reason, we recommend you drive your vehicle for a while before requesting any LPS adjustments.

You should be able to search and find your answer as we've covered this quite a bit <_< Gen1 had no filters, they were added in gen2, AFAIK.

You mean a 4th or 5th order enclosure has a hole in it????????????? OMG !!!! You're sooooo damn smart. I've been paid (quite well) to do this for the last 15 years professionally and I never knew that. All this time I thought they were just cupholders for big gulps or really kewl trash cans. Well you sure showed me. You should like go work for Rockford Fosgate and maybe then you'll learn who Wayne Harris is or Mark Fukada, since you're sooo smart , you could probabaly be their boss. i bet they would hire someone with your knowledge and experience in a heartbeat, you're depriving them of your awesome knowledge and experience. You should just quit you day job and go start your own stereo install shop, cause you know it all. Can I please see some pictures of your awesome work, please, so I can learn the right way to install! :snoooorrrtttt: -
Smells When I Turn On A/c
TurboGS300 replied to arrowana's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
GS300TURBO posted back in March that he flushed vents thru lower drain and wiped condenser & disinfected which sounded like best solution, but not sure how he flushed vents with water and wiped/disinfected the condenser. GS300TURBO-if you read this, pls elaborate on how you flushed & treated. Thanks ← There's no filter on the 1st gens, so I removed the access cover after flushing throught the top vents by the hood and wiped the condensor with a rag, carefully! Then took a spray bottle with cleaning solution, you could dillute some bleach, but dont get it on the carpet. Sprayed the solution all over condensor until it was saturated then flushed with a spray bottle of water. Just keep an eye on the ac drain vent after you do this it can become clogged in humid weather and bacteria can easily start growing if you don't keep it flushed. Whenever I go through the carwash I make sure I leave it on outside air so the ac condensor will stay clean. Also if you leave it on inside air often theres more of a chance for mildew to form. B) -
I did an intake on mine and it made some inprovement, the biggest difference came when I replaced the clogged up main cat and precats and added a catback. I've heard it's common for them to be clogged on the higher mileage GS's and early years. When they first looked at mine they thought it was fine, then they did some more poking and realized it was definitely clogged. Cleaning the throttle body will help a little as well. B)

TurboGS300 replied to Tenoshii's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
Sounds good!! B) I've had a couple of the qlogic boxes, i've found they sound a little better if you go through w/liquid nails and reseal the inside as may of them leak. Also depending on which 12" box you got, you may want to addd some polyfill to the inside to make it sound a little better. Tune the port as well. -
Uk Member Needs Help
TurboGS300 replied to Keith Bowler's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
Yes, it's pretty easy, btw if you run across a first gen Aristo wiring manual , I need the pinouts for the mirrors. You will need a taped flat head screwdriver for prying and a phillips screwdriver for the rest.. 1) remove tweeter pod by prying out with taped flat blade screwdriver from the right side when facing it. There are 2 clips on the right side holding it in, once released it will pivot out. 2) remove door handle trim using taped flat blade screwdriver. Place the taped flat bladed screwdriver between the locking mechanism and push down and out it should release the outer trim of the door handle, do the same on the bottom part to release it except here push up and out . After top and bottom are released pull the outer trim backwards and out to release front clip. 3) remove power window switch panel using the taped flat bladed screwdriver. Insert taped screwdriver into front part of panel and pry up to release front clip. Pull up and out. Unplug wire connectors 4) remove seven screws from door panel, 3 on the bottom, 1 on left side midway up, 1 on rightside near top, 1 under the window switch panel you removed previously.,and 1 under a square cap on top of the pocket. 5) pull or pry door panel outward to release clips., remove panel 6) remove top door frame garnish. Unscrew plastic screw on lower left side, pull the garnish straight out , NOT TOWARD YOU, probably sideways from you. 7) remove mirror, remove tweeter if it's in the way. <_< You can also show your appreciation by sending a few pounds or dollars to help support this site B) -
Iat Wires.. Which Ones? Help!
TurboGS300 replied to RX VIPER's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
No one, it doesn't exist B) All these scammers do is put a resistor inside a box and it makes the car think that the air temp is colder, but it's really not. So your car runs richer all the time, wasting gas, and not giving you any performance increase. Don't you think if those things actually worked, that they would be on the car already??? If Lexus or any other manufacturer could wire in a resistor and get 20hp extra they would be doing it. If you want a horsepower increase start with an intake and maybe a catback exhaust. Or maybe a small shot of NO2. in the future ask us before wasting your money, not after B) -
