  1. At first I thought it was just a joke. Was it a joke? <_<
  2. Are you saying you are going to buy a USEd car? :whistles:
  3. Yup, since that car was still running I wonder how many miles it has hit by now. :whistles:
  4. A salesman has managed to put 1,001,385 miles on his 1989 Saab 900 SPG, after 17 years of driving. Transmission was rebuilt at 200,000 mile and “used premium, synthetic oil in oil changes, changed the tires every 45,000 miles and strictly followed the maintenance schedule.” I wonder if there is a LS400 in the world with close to a million miles........... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16070928/?GT1=8816
  5. Black exteriors also demand more cleaning and time versus other colors. I’m not sure about 1998, but on this forum, people have stated that Lexus does not use clear coat on black colors, which makes it even more vulnerable to scratches and such. As for black interiors, my friend’s 1996 LS400 with black leather is beginning to show white marks on the leather as it ages. The color of my car’s exterior and interior is a bit odd, but it was used car with a good price tag and service history; it was not like I was buying it brand new and actually had options. ;) Btw: akewlguy, congratulations on your purchase. This is like “pimp my ride” going from 1991 Taurus to a 1998 GS.......except your car has class and less TVs.....lol (in one episode they put TV’s on both sides of the front bumper of a Corolla)
  6. That's a good point, but then again taking car of cars is a hobby for some. :)
  7. I suppose it can go either way. As, Lexus is offering hybrid as a performance upgrade, yet the 2007 LS offers optional “executive rear seating.”
  8. Lab report, essay, presentation, preparation for few exams.................this is beginning to get on my nerves now...
  9. That was one of the best reviews of a Lexus vehicle yet. It was unbiased and the competitors were well compared by taking every aspect of the theme and target market into consideration. Reviews such as this one should only be posted on LOC, whether it is positive or negative about Lexus. :) Thanks for sharing Alan.

  11. If you are using windows, you can reduce the size of a picture in the program called paint. But the pictures you have attached look fine because they are automatically zoomed out when we view them. Anyways, that sure is a nice looking car.
  12. Hmm....looks the same from July's pictures: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...mp;#entry200524
  13. I guess you haven't been here in the past few weeks huh? You missed it (lol): http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=32910 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=21323
  14. That's funny but a repost............ http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ic=13676&hl
  15. That’s terrible news. I hope you are okay and the other people (if any) as well. I think you need to reply back with more information about the accident, so this thread has an ending.
  16. How did you determine that? Does it come in pink?
  17. Check your vehicles book value (Kelly's Blue Book) at: www.kbb.com Check your local newspaper with similar listings, some newspapers use cars.com as their online host. You can find in your local area listings at www.cars.com and www.autotrader.com The dealers’ vehicles (retail party) are priced a little higher than private party (you). Your area dealers (especially large ones) are not going to give you an accurate price range versus listing in newspaper.
  18. Whether the road is deserted or not, it is still illegal. If it was on the Autobahn or on a race track, people (including me) would appreciate this post.
  19. The road looks deserted because the side views are of a desert!.......almost btw, where is this at?
  20. Same reason as to why there are 9 pages of the below thread. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=21323
  21. The 150 mph is clearly shown in the video. :)
  22. Your answer can be found at: http://www.lexls.com/info/lsgenerations.html
  23. I saw the video as well. It was safe in that you were on a open road but as mentioned before you were also making a video while doing 150 mph on a Gen I LS400!!!!!......now that was a bit dangerous.
