  1. Towing with the GS, eh... I don't know what to tell you.. That's a question I never heard before.. Man, if it was me and the boat is small enough and the distance to travel isn't really that far.. I'd rather strap the trailer to me and tow it to the dock before I put a tow hitch on my GS... But to each their own, just try it and see what happens..
  2. Did you find them yet?? If you didn't I looked around and they are pricey..
  3. You can even go with EBC X-drill'd and slot'd rotors.. From what I hear, they're not bad.. With the EBC greenstuff pads..
  4. So what this guy is saying to you is that Lexus makes a AWD GS now?? I don't think so.. Maybe some guy did somekind of Hybrid conversion but I don't think it's factory..
  5. There might be, but I never heard of one.. I know Lexus is coming out with a 2006 AWD GS..
  6. Let me be the first to reply to this being that everyone else are sitting on their fingers.. I have really nice GS.. And it has tons of problems right now.. I'll list what I can remember off hand.. First off my mainseal is leaking, my Precision Industries TC rattles when the car is in PARK or NEUTRAL.. The front bumper drags on the ground, the right headlight and right Foglight don't work anymore.. Oh, and the strobes in the right foglight doesn't work either.. The hood is alittle twisted, the front right quarter panel fell off somehow.. Also something is wrong with my rim, whenever I go try to put air in the tire it just leaks out.. I think my control arms are bent and I keep hearing a clicking sound up front, so maybe a coilover is busted.. One more thing, I don't know what's up with Lexus hoods either, for some reason mine bent alittle.. :( :( I'm sure if I thought harder I can come up with some more things, but now I'm depressed enough so I'll stop... :D ;) Here check it out... This is my car....:whistles: :whistles: Here's my car if you care to see my bucket of bolts....
  7. Balz, don't sweat it bro. I have a roof spoiler on my GS and it hasn't blown off yet... Just make sure that you pressed the crap out of it when you put it on.. If you did that then your good..
  8. It looks pretty good.. I like it.. But the Blackwood with beige interior is not my cup of tea.. IMO I would have left it alone.. All in all your GS looks real nice and clean.. You did nice work putting it together.. One question though, I'm waiting for my hood to come in and I was wondering if my grills will fit with it?? Does the factory mounts still exist in the same spots and is the opening the same as the factory hood?? Thanks..
  9. Chubs, Glad to see your problem got fixed.. As for your questions, my dealer replaced both cats and 02 sensors with factory parts.. And no my engine light does not go on anymore.. But I only had the car back from the dealer for like a month before it was crashed.. But I had my car running real rich, and that's why they burnt up like that.. I jst hope it doesn't happen again.. It's just a plain in the butt to keep on having to bring my car to Lexus every few weeks.. Lucky for me I go there so much that I'm cool with the right people and everything is covered by my warranty..
  10. HKS is pretty much the same thing as Apex... Hey, how about this... I just came back from the shop I deal with and he just got in some 3" full pipe'd titanium exhaust's... Those suckers weight like 8lbs..
  11. Here I'll save you time and maybe some money if you were planing to have someone put them on for you.. Those rims off your Max won't work with the GS.. Sell them and get rims for a rear wheel drive car...
  12. I'll Pm you a guys number where you can order it..
  13. True indeed.. Check it out and hopefully Lexus covers it for you so that you don't have to come out of pocket for this.. Good luck and keep us posted.. One more thing, Welcome to the CLub..... ;)
  14. A ferw months ago I have to place all my cats and 02 sensors because I toasted them.. The inside of the cats turned to ash and clogged everything up which inturn made my sensons burnup too.. And the car was only a year old.. Chubby, if your car is still under warranty have them replace the cats and see how the 02 sensors are..
  15. I go to Town Fair Tire... They hook it up for me Toyo T1-S's.. $275. for the fronts and $300. for the rears... oops, I forgot the sizes.. They were 245/35/20's and 275/30/20's... The ones I have now, my bodyshop got for me and they gave me the same price..
  16. Yes there is... But if you don't want to go through the hassle of peeling off paint, you can buy the chromed SportDesign grill for around $150...
  17. Try these guys out... Give them a call and tell them Mr. Sypher sent you... Shop...
  18. That's what I had with some SS brakelines.. You'll definitely feel the difference from stock.. Question for you, why don't you spend a couple hundred more for some TT brakes? They have great breaking power and are very affordable.. The only problem is I think you may need spacers if you don't have at least Medium disk front rims..
  19. KVA, your ride looks nice.. But IMO the GS is much too big for 18" rims.. The car just over powers the rims and they look as if they could be a stock size.. To each their own.. I'd say go with 19's with a fat-setup, which would be like 245/40/19 and 285/35/19... On my GS I rolling around on Toyo T1-S's 255/35/20's up front and 285/30/20's in the rear...
  20. Which in turn means............. You'll need to place the factory shocks faster with lowering springs..
  21. Both of the ones you mentioned are the only 2 I have experience with... The L-Tuned is pretty much like the Borla but I think the tips are a tad bigger.. Greddy, have huge canisters and tips but is sounds like a raspy monster is stuck in your cats.. You'll definitely wake the neighbors when you pull up to your house in the middle of the night.. Now me personally, I like the Tom's... The whole system is polished stainless steel.. That's what I'm getting next... Here's the Tom's....
  22. Awhile back someone's friend bought some crap off ebay and he said it work'd and that there were some gains.. But with something like that, you don't know what it's gonna do over time.. I'd stay away from companies that you never heard of and be weary of people wanting to make a buck regardless of what the final outcome will be...
  23. What do you mean by all shocks?? Factory shocks/Struts are meant to have a full range of motion when you lower your car the shock/strut compresses because it's lower than stock therefore it puts constant pressure on it.. Understand?? How about this, here's an example... You know when your on the highway and you see a car fill'd with crap and it looks lowered but it's just weighed down.. Now imagine if he drove around like aggressively all day and night, his struts would weaken and give out before there time.. It's something along those lines... Where as most aftermarket shocks/struts are made for that pressure...
  24. Welcome to the board.. Have you went to Lexus and checked out their lineup?? I'd say go with a Gs430 there's space/room and boy does it look nice and classy...
