  1. Neo, thanks for the info.. I have plenty of space up front because when I ordered my rims I got them with a super high-disk.. But with my rear rims I wanted the biggest lip possible so I had to go with a super low-disk.. So that's where my problem is.. I need to findout the what's the biggest caliper I can go with in the rears, and who makes them.. I can't have AP Racing calipers up front and then a some other company in the rears.. I need them to be one company.. I was even thinking about going with the Supra TT setup.. But I don't know if the rears will fit.. Do you know??
  2. DAMN!!!! WTF, now it's already time to get a new engine?? How many miles was on yours?? And also how many miles with the Turbo?? Didn't you just put the turbo in recently?? Damn bro, sorry to hear about this...
  3. Joe, Welcome to the club.. If you decide to purchase the GS3 you won't be disappointed.. Promise.. ;) Also, awhile back I spoke to my Lexus tech at Lexus of Greenwich (where I buy and service my cars) about people turning back the odometer, he said that if it's done it's easy to find out because the true mileage is logged on the main computer.. Also he said that it's a biotch to do, so don't worry about it that much.. Now with regard to the I6 that Toyota/Lexus produce, it's supposedly one of the best engines ever made.. It is very dependable and is strong enough that you wouldn't have to modify the engine if you were gonna put another 400 more HP in it. Now that's strong... How many other engines can you say that for? Like I said before you won't be disappointed with your purchase and trust me when I say this, you'll love the Gs just like we all do here..
  4. Here the rims.. 3pc. JDM Work Rezax II..
  5. Welcome to the club and congrats on your GS.. I can't help you out with a pic of the eibachs on my GS because I have coilovers but I can definitely help you with the rims.. First off you said "Deep Dish", what do you mean when you say that?? I know what deep dish are but you don't have an SUV... But on a different note, what's your budget for wheels? I sell rims and if your a member here at LOC I give special discounts on whatever you want.. Also I specialize in only Lexus and sell any and all JDM parts that are out for our cars.. Here's a pic of my Work Rezax II, they are 20X8.5 in the front and 20X10 in the back (the back is what you would call "deep dish").. But the front isn't gonna have a lip like the rear because it's not wide enough..
  6. True that.. Yeah those nice looking Lexo's wouldn't want to have some UGLY yellow paint smeared on the sides... :(
  7. There you go.. I'm actually looking for a 6 piston setup for my fronts.. I have it down to either Wilwood, StopTech, Brembo, or AP Racing.. I don't know which one yet.. And also I have to find out what's the biggest I can get for my rears..
  8. Sal, did you check and see how far it is from you on Mapquest??
  9. The HP is still the same with L-Tuned.. L-Tuned don't do anything to modify the engine.. The only mod along those lines is the L-Tuned steering ECU upgrade.. Now calipers.. Do you want to upgrade your brakes or just paint your calipers red?? Also if you want to upgrade your breaks you can't go with something crazy, you'll have to keep it simple so it can fit behind your 18" L-Tuned rims.. Let me know what you want to do and I might be able to help you out...
  10. Hey, no problem with helping out.. That's why we are here.. Now with your car having flat spots, I don't think so but you never know.. Hopefully you have them inflated enough that there isn't that much give to the tires.. And with the wheel shop saying they'll buy you a new set of wheels, that's because they are idiots and want to put a end to this ongoing problem.. I don't see why you shouldn't do it.. Or even better, get your money back and I can hook you up with some really nice JDM wheels that not many people have in the country.. Like some Work Wheels (that's what i got)....
  11. Well, I messed with my ECU.. I don't think your gonna run into the same problem I had..
  12. Now for your problem.. It's a real easy problem too and alot of people overlook it or don't even think about it.. So check it out, you said that after the shop balanced the rims you still have the shaking, right? If you do I can almost guarantee that the wheels you bought aren't hub-cemetric with your hubs.. What that means then is that in order for the rim to fit properly you have to buy some centering-rings.. You see, right now the rim isn't sitting properly on the hub, it has extra space around the inner part of the rim where the hub is supposed to fit snugly and because of that it moves around.. It's a simple fix and will only cost you a few bucks.. But if I were you I'd do it fast because with your wheel sitting like that on your hub it puts extra pressure on the bolts and they will start to "WALK", that means they will loosen and start to move around.. :o Okay Mike! I saw those and wanted an excuse to buy, so I guess I will try them and see if it helps! The vibration was pretty bad when I had them balanced online, however after having Discount Tire rebalance them it was pretty much gone. I even asked the tech and he said that they were not balanced properly , but whatever! I will try the rings! I will keep ya posted! Thanks!! :D Make sure you get the right size for the hub and the rim.. The centering rings have 2 sizes, the inner, which fits onto the hub and the outer, which fits inside the rim.. Reigns, that may be your problem too.. If the centering ring is off by 2mm you will feel something..

  14. Take them to a tire shop and have them do it.. I have had 5 sets of 20" rims and I never was told that they were having a problem balancing the rims.. Those guys don't know what they're doing.. Or maybe your rim is warped/bent and the don't know about it.. But that's really unlikely because they'd beable to see it..
  15. Thanks for the offer.. I might need to take you up on it Andy.. Every Spot you mentioned is farther away from you though.. Greenwich is the first town in CT and is about 1/2 hour from Manhattan.. So whoever comes here from far away can always take a trip out to the city too...
  16. Here's the Addy and map as to where it's at.. Here you go...
  17. yeah it's been a while.. And the meet will most likely be the last Saturday in May..
  18. so that will get rid of the lag you get once you punch it. ????? i was thinking of getting a K&N drop in air filter, would that do much.?? I'm not sure if that will clearup your problem.. But it doesn't cost you a penny and it can't hurt to try it.. I use to have a similar problem after I installed my Intake and reseting my ECU worked for me.. Alos putting in a K&N dropin filter won't hurt it any and it'll help air-flow...
  19. The Greddy MX might be quieter than the PE.. I'm almost sure it is because I can't see anything other exhaust be louder than that.. And you say your more interested in performance mostly.. Well, if that's the case it really doesn't matter what exhaust you get unless you have something to upgrade your ECU with.. What Intake do you have??
  20. Do you have a intake or Exhaust on your GS?? If I were you, try to reset your ECU.. You can either pull out the ECU fuse in the long fuse holder in the enginebay or disconnect the battery.. But either way you choose leave it disconnected for atleast 20 minutes.. Then after you put the fuse in or re-connect the battery drive the *BLEEP* out of it.. The ECU will relearn your driving habits and hopefully that clears up your problem..
  21. Just switch the whole system out for the Greddy PE cat-back.. If you want something thats gonna sound like you have a caged animal under the hood then that's the way to go.. Borla is only for those who just want something deeper and not loud at all..
  22. Maybe for another future meet we can do something in Atlantic City.. Like when they have the Big car show down there.. But I'm still open for suggestions as to where and when.. I just figured that a LOC meet at a car show would be an extra bonus for ur members.. And also whoever pays for admission will be entered in the raffle for some goodies.. I haven't decided what it will be yet But it will be something nice, Like a Stage 1 turbo installed or some nitrous kit installed.. Who knows, maybe a set of Work rims too..
  23. Gotcha, nah I saw the Black GS on the Gallery and for some reason I thought it was yours..
