Can you switch between the HS850 and the Lexus Hands free?

I have read 14.3, 17.3. Can anyone confirm the actual capacity of the gas tank?

Personally I am looking to find what company has the best equipped wood kit for the 400. I will max out, I just like the wood look. Anyone find a more complete kit vs another? PS the touted "silver look" was probably a cost saving factor to keep the price down. The cost of the electric parts was $$$$.

I don't think it'a a matter of weight. The way it works has to do with the rotation speed of the anti lock sensors. The computer turns on a light if it's different. No gas mileage difference regarding that. Unless the ram in the computer is too low for that feature.. I really wonder if it really works and does not show until there is a problem. Gas or electric engine won't help when your tire is flat... Personally I keep 2 cans of flat tie fix and a small compressor with me.

Turn the ignition key on to test the lights on the dash, just below the temp gauge is a little tire with two arrows in it. That's the low pressure warning. There is also a another icon anto skid or anti lock display. The Icons don't stay long, you may have to do it a couple of times to study the layout. This is the case with a rx330.. 2004

Yes, you can answer incoming calls by simply touching the answer button on the steering wheel. When you do, the audio system and voice guidance is muted. You can also hang up from the steering wheel button or just refuse the call. While you are talking you can adjust the volume as well. The system remembers the last 5 received calls. It works great. It's true that you can't dial while driving. That goes for new numbers you want to dial, phonebook numbers, previously dialed numbers and recieved call numbers. However, you can set up 1-touch dialing for up to 18 numbers. You can populate (register) this list from any of the sources above and place the calls while driving. The 6th number is always the last received call, so in case you need to return your last call, it is available while driving. This works well for me, but there are occasions when you (or the person in the passenger seat) might want to dial a new number. I suppose this is the price we pay for our litigious society. Does that mean the steering whell no longer has the wood trim?

There is a recall for the power booster. Had similar problem. It was on the Canada made RX330 series.

Wonder why the West Coast would get that and we would not? I know the guys at my dealer must be reading this and will have an answer tomorrow.... And yes the dealer guys are reading these threads..

Great news on the laser guided cruise, I was told that was nixed. Wonder if it is in all the 400h runs. Can you confirm if the air conditioner compressor is dc, or does the engine start when you turn the air cond on? Thanks

i can't wait either....It's like we're kids again LOL Oh and the DVD isn't just cool for kids...If you're in traffic somewhere it's really nice to pass the time!! My dealer quoted me a 3 month wait for the model with Rear entertainment, guess I'll have to wait. BTW some food for thought. Come winter time the RX400 still will require the gas engine for heating. SO the engine will start come up to temp and shut off. I would guess winter gas mileage will suffer?

I left the factory speakers and installed a basslink woofer. The woofer sits on a padded board which sits in the cargo area. This woofer has a wiring harness with plugs. So when I need the space, I just leave it home. Sounds good to me..

I had my 04 RX330 in the dealer today for the driver doos seals. My salesman was there and we exchanged greetings. I asked when they were getting the 400, he pointed to one that was there with the lexus rep. So I asked to drive it. I was the first one in the dealership to drive it.. as tall the salesman were drooling. First looks, the interior is about the same. Then turn the key and you will see the power train display on the screen, there is also a display below the speedometer, this shows the regenerative braking and charging. It is so strange to turn the key on and not hear an engine running. So you step on the gas and it goes. Smooth, no hesitation at all, quiet. No more sloppy shifting, can't hardly feel any shifts, just power... As will smith said in Independance day "I gota get me one of these" The cars are being delivered without Mark Levinson or rear entertainment package. But can be ordered, which I will. I was not that impressed with the Mark Levinson system, which this car had. My standard premium with my own subwoofer sounds better.. The rear seats sit up a little higher and there are vents just below the seats so air can run over the batteries. The battery warranty is 100,000 miles or 8 years. The breakwater blue which is my favorite will NOT be available on the 400, in fact no light blue at all, that hurts....

Had mine replaced as per the TSB and they are excellent now.

I have had 3 rx 330 loaners over the last 12 months from my dealer and noticed all of them ran better and had more pick up than my 330. I have complained to them and they reset the computer and told me to drive it hard. Tried that, still the pick up is just not there. AT 50mph, there is not much at all. This test was unloaded and I was Alone. Tried different octanes and have not noticed any difference at all, except my the $$ Any thought ? TIA

If you purchased all those cars from the same dealer, shame on them. I use Rallye Lexus Glen Cove NY always get a same type Lexus loaner. And I only bought two cars from them...

Please post a TSB# or a lexus memo, I have the same problem when going upstate on those unlit country roads. TIA

Does anyone know If I can still use a hich if I have the rear waag protection bar installed?

it should get better. I am in NYC and get about 17-18. On the highway I get between 20-25mpg. To get the best highway mileage kep it below 65. If you avg 70-75 it will go down to 20mpg.
