Hi, Check the drain pipework on the moonroof as they may have become clogged over the summer with debris and now cannot cope with the heavy rainfall. I have seen a tutorial somewherte for doing this.

Hi, The most probably cause is the o ring seal on the reservoir this is available from Lexus at around $6.00 Part # 90080-30040 You need to remove the low pressure return pipe and 3 bolts holding it to the pump. ( you don't have to remove the pump itself) Remove as much fluid as you can 1st using a rubber bulb type chicken baster then put plenty of rags under the pump to catch any remaining fluid. Have your fan belt checked. You can replace it yourself if needed, it's pretty straight forward. Does it whine or howl? A howl is the classic "turn your wheels and the wolves start singing". That is a loose belt. A whine in my experience is low fluid, cavitating right above the impeller, top it off and you should be OK. There is a pump and rack rebuild kit on craigslist for 10 bucks plus shipping! All the soft parts you need, looks like a bunch of O-rings. Couldnt hurt. Hi, I would start by checking the coolant temperature sensor and it's wiring, as the fault appears temperature related,if this is playing up it can make the ECU think the engine is warmed up when infact it is starting from cold so the cold start circuit does not come into operation when it should. These sensors do fail and are not expensive to replace.

I don't know the year of your car but normally there is a single screw holding the unit into the fender,remove the screw and lift out that side move it sideways away from the car and it should come out.

The cooling fan has 2 relays controlling it one is switched by the coolant temperature switch and the other by the air con pressure switch the common item here which would result in both circuits failing is the 15A fuse marked " heater fuse" located at the rear of the parking brake release lever. This fuse supplies both relays to the fan. Hi, I guess you mean the upper ball joints if so they are part of the upper arms and the whole assembly will need changing,I think Arnott do the pair for around $200.00 ( or look on ebay.com) if it is the bottoms they are replaceable as an item.

Hi, Do you know why the fuse has blown because I would want to know before replacing it, check for a short circuit before putting in the fuse and I would also disconnect the battery before fitting in case it does go again whilst fitting as it would be very hot as it blows and so would your fingers.

I had the same problem on my 1994 LS and purchased a small tin of semi matt paint from my local hardware store ($3.00),bit of masking and brush painted. Cannot tell they have been done and still OK a year later.

Hi, This sounds like the usual LS problem due to a break in the wiring loom that passes over the trunk lid hinge. If you look on top of the hinge on the LHS ( may be the RHS in the US) you will see a loom covered in plastic that contains the wires to the trunk lid lights. Carefully open this up and check for frayed/broken wires. Repair as needed and this should sort your problem.

Hi, For the bulb types you need have a look at this link http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/lighting/ The trunk lid lights and license plate lights are accessed by removing the soundproofing inside the trunk lid there are some clips/plastic screws holding it in place which need to be carefully remove. Once you have done this you can access the bulb holders and replace as required the license plate bulbs are a bit tricky as you have to reach inside the trunk frame and twist the bulb holders to release them. To remove the front headlights/foglights first remove the indicator lense ( one screw on top after lifting hood up then give it a tug) looking where the indicator was you will see the side headlight securing screw remove this and the other 2 this should allow the complete unit to come out to replace the bulbs. Hi, Look to the left of the steering wheel there is a panel just below with a switch on it that says remote make sure it is switched to on or the remote will not work. Cheers, Steve
