  1. then just go and buy it straight from lexus then you wont have to spend all this time researching and hassling over 50 bucks. then again if you find it all out and share the info that would be much appreciated
  2. hey hites i found a company in japan caled C's makes a 250 degree cam kit (with the gear in the middle ) but it costs a whooping $3400 they also makes a stroker and bore up kit but its another $25,000 costing more than the car a few times over
  3. thats actually good maintenance too because dirt and things like that keeping the area moist could lead to rust. and good work ;)
  4. its always best to test and eliminate with the cheap things first.
  5. what some of my favorite tools are, are my two and only snap-on wrenches the one that is very important is the 12mm 13mm combination wrench. it is flat and straight ( not angled like other combination wrenches) and i specificaly bought it to take off the engine fan. it was $32 but well worth it. with that taking those fan nuts off are super easy :D other than those i keep about two of everything and sometimes three. oh and pullers those are a must have item. welder comes in handy (TIGs are good) grinders saws. a metal lathe and mill :P hehe! then your standard cherry picker for those engine swaps and an engine stand.
  6. if you do a search you can get a strut from autozone or something like that for about 20 bucks or so but some modification will be neccisary
  7. wellif anyone is willing to spend the money blueprinting the motor should give some power along with a full balancing of the crank and pistons, but i doubt the crank and pistons are that far off balance. cams anyone? does anyone make?
  8. maybe there should be a box next to the title, which states what year SC is being talked about. then all confusion about what year SC will be easy to identify
  9. yea they are drag limited. find specs some where and it will say so
  10. did you change the motor mounts and the tranny mount? well if that doesnt all work out you can always buy another or a new one
  11. ok this first opinion is most likely me. and well yes a little oil is normal in fact there is a little felt doughnut after the shaft seal to soak up oil and well some oil is normal alot is not and most likely the ac will go out sooner or later. i am not saying to go out and change it right away but just letting you know. i have repaired many compressor shaft seals and had the ac working perfectly after the fix and well all of these compressors had a fairly large dirty spots under the compressor and thats a sign of the oil leaking off there and catching road dirt.
  12. yea the shaft seal can be anywhere from 20 to 120 bucks
  13. yea but if its called a 330 then its most likely to be a v6 but as you said if it were an inline ahgghhghghg inline (my homer simpson impersonation )
  14. ac compressor oil leakage is a sign of your shaft seal going bad so expect your ac to go soon, when it goes just change the shaft seal. then slap it all back together and have it recharged.

  19. what polished lip? the IS rims came gun metal and the GS rims came alum. finish or chrome, IS may have come chrome but i dont think so.
  20. yea mine does that two stage opening thing so i think its supposed to do that and yea i like my ac in the hot hawaii weather :D no use for that sliding glass thing over my head

  22. its probably the gear position@sensor and well the light might not have much to do with it but your ecu might be seeing that your still in reverse and reverse doesnt have 4speeds but it would be cool if it did so the ecu wont let the trans shift. well thats just my guess but makes sence right?
  23. JGTC uses air ride? wow now im intrested hey AJ when you get those shock made give me a hollar i may be interested since i really cant go any lower than stock because of my stupid stupid steep driveway(but nice curvy mountain roads on the way) and a ride height adjustable car would be great.
  24. i believe its the same as a supra.... yea that doesnt help you much does it? i think it was around a +37 in the rear and a +42 up front......i could be wrong though :P
  25. i plan to do everything my self as soon i get this motor lined up. i planned to get my motor like now but that isnt happening because i ended up having to work here in the motherland of JDM so i will shoot for summer. and really i dont think its that hard. i recently did a sr20 swap in my friends 240 and well all my fears of wireing have gone away, though my fears of money have not
