i think the LS was designed to have that unusual mushy feel. it just feels like lots of brake assist. i wouldnt be too sure that just buying those lines will make a difference in this car.
bushings connect moving parts with a layer of rubber rather than useing metal to metal. also depending on the rubber stiffness the characteristics of the car changes. stiffer bushings will give you a harsher ride but better response and so on.. the softer bushings will give a bit more comfortable ride, soaking up minor vibrations and things. the 4th gen LS came as either a euro tuned sus. or normal. one of the differences being the bushings.
bean: what do you mean the 1jz wasnt long evough to to use it like the 2jz?
jc4: the kits come with thicker head gaskets meaniing they sell them. try call toyomoto or other companies that make the kits about the head gasket
my leather has been covered up almost from day one with sheep skin. took it off 12 years later because the sheep skin went bad and it looks great! so i covered it again :D i know you guys don want to hear it but my leather looks new! :P
wait a minute i would just slap the motor in there too because the internals are stronger ( assuming that you go turbo), then if you find a 2jz gte bottom end or get better rods and pistons use the 2j block
at the shop i go to regularly, they are putting in a peter ferel kit in to an IS and it is bad! first of all it costs about 10g's and they are having some trouble because they cant get support from the company they bought it from, everything doesnt fit, it looks like a rushed and poorly made product.
its a lexus man! we dont hod up hoods with wire or by hand but yea it would be really good if you guys could look in to which strut works best with the CF stuff (im thinking of getting them.)
there was a C/D comparison on a merc. S class, BMW 7, audi ,VW and JAG, and an LS430 and guess who won? the LS! not the BMW this time or the Merc. in fact the Merc. came in last because it was aging and getting old.
OOOOOO shiny i see a can of mothers in the lower corner of the last picture. almost gone? i like mothers Billet polish, but its hell expensive for the amount you get, but its alot better and smells better too.
heres a hit for doing the drive shaft. the drive shaft bolts have their own specific weights for balancing purposes. and well just mark where the drive shaft was and where the bolts went.
