if your not going to mod it then go with a 400. (thats if you want an auto) the 400 is more of a cruiser it has more bottom end torque which makes it easier to drive under normal conditions. and i dont really like the 300 auto trans. its kind of too shifty. take both out for a drive and see what you think ;)

gt, and Le Mans cars run in the 17-18 inch category and thats real race rubber. ;)

you missing just one thing.... a drop ;) big rims, low pro tires=need a drop to lessen the gap.

yea you can shorten the arm up front or space the arm lower so that the computer thinks the car is riding high and it will lower depending on how much you adjust it. i have been thinking about doing it on my 90 but never did and a friend of mine did it on his MB.

well racing is a problem in america because its done in areas that are populated or simply people around like the freeway and near residential streets. and as much as i am against street racing there is a certain thrill to it that you cant get on a circuit. but mainly my races (which are fairly few) are in moutain roads where there arent any people. no matter what the law is people are still going to race its just like underage drinking. so if you do race try to do it in a secluded area and if you drink dont drive ;)

not much else is different. placement of some of the things under the hood are a bit different. and wiring in the gte is probably different compared with the ge and 1uz meaning chassis wiring is different. but maybe its not becasue the last time i looked at the manual the body connectors were all written the same. and i just helped my friend put in a black interior in his 300 and all of the electrical things from the 400 connected up and worked fine. so it might not be that different.

my friend just recently bought the forester turbo and its auto( he is older and tired of drivng 5 speed) he still goes down to our local drag strip and according to him he does high 15s so i dont know about 0-60 but i think you can take him on the quarter.

if its done right there should be no problem.

you can bypass the fuel pump ecu. i guess i can tell you how if youo want ;)

18 inch rims should run you about 2-3000 bucks if they are any good. dont buy the cheapp stuff because not only are they heavy, they also bend easily and most times they dont look that good

if your getting a new pump then you can just bypass the ecu so the pump runs at 100% all the time. supra guys do this to eliminate the risk of leaning out. the ecu was ment to prolong the life of the pump by varying its speed. but with a new pump even if it runs at 100% it will still last a long time and its cheaper ;) unless your going to keep your car for another 12 years.

yea its probably some relays or something like the cruise control or traction controll doing something.

unless you really launch ths 2000 it wont go that fast from a stop because at low end there is no tourque and untill you hit the 5 or 6000 vtec line it doesnt really get going. and both the cars top out at about 150 so it isnt funny that you both run about the same.
