  1. whoa whoa whoa back to the original post. 120K miles and still on original brake pads? LOL that has to be a record.
  2. you mean the buttons lose the memory you set? perhaps its a battery problem
  3. well actually the RX300 is the one with the tranny's having to be replaced. So far, the 330 only has that hesitation and i have not heard of anyone having to replace it...
  4. is it weird that my parents live 5 minutes away... LOL
  5. alabama? lol...at least the RX is made by highly skilled Canadians ;)
  6. LOL hey, its mainly a guys forum anyways
  7. lol not just you. if lexus follows through with what it usually does, it will be much much more easy on the eyes.
  8. lol cant you just buy an exhaust from a tuning brand and plug and play? or cant you just unbolt the current exhaust to get a deep sound?
  9. oh...it was the old model. Yeah that car was crap, in fact it was the first Benz to be made in the USA and it was assembled by unskilled people, no offense to us americans. Anywhoo, it dropped mercs reliability rating and was the sole vehicle that made people turn away from the brand. plus, why would you want to drive around in an outdated model. At least you have another 2 years with this RX. lol
  10. that sounds like the famous lexus service. No, oil changes usually take about 3 hours at most, but if there was a problem where they would have to order a part, they will give you a loaner and drive it out to you since you are so far away.
  11. i have a very good resource for TSBs http://www.bedlib.org/ebsco.html click on the center green picture UserID: user Password: password scroll down to auto repair referance center and go from there
  12. im fine with the pillars in the front. Occasionally, i might miss a pedestrian walking but that happens rarely and i usually stop in time. No other blind spots i dont think
  13. what happened to the lexus logo...on the chrome rims
  14. sure...i guess agressive is a better word than butch. I just think they look out of place. Im never in any snowfall so i dont really care about traction, which is why i think the michelines do a find enough job. They are cheaper than the goodyears too.
  15. are you sure you can afford three sundays...big spender ;)
  16. there are a phew designs from lexus that i like. the GS450h has nice ones, as will the future LS600hl. I think if they provided a "graphite" finish like they did with the RX rims with the performance package they would look better.
  17. they were on soft. college--> animal house
  18. alrighty. 1) the workaround DOES NOT remove the I agree screen in the beginning. That stays on all the time and there is not way of removing it. THe workaround only lets you enter destinations/use bluetooth while the car is in motion. Notice that the buttons block out on the nav when the car is above 5 mph. The workaround will cnacel that blockout, but not remove the i agree screen. You have to do it everytime you start the car if you want the workaround to work. Updating to a newer nav will not make it any different. 2) just random info, the goodyear RSAs were also OEM tires. Lexus had two different tire settings for these cars, either brand are OEMs. I had the goodyear for two sets, they max out at around 30K miles, and i do believe they are more noisy. At 60K i changed to the Michelines. It is noticable more quiet, though not whisper. I also think the Goodyears handle slightly better and they do not follow cracks in the road as much as the Michelines. I hear the michelines will last to 35K, plus they're cheaper. Some people on this site will tell you to buy the Alenzas. I would research this tire more, because if your like me, you wont like them. The goodyears and the michlines are for the suburban family household that doesnt encounter snow. The Alenzas give better traction, but in my personal opinion, they look too "butch" on such a sleek car, if you know what im saying. They look like they should be on 4 runners instead. i like the low profile look of the michelines or the goodyears. hope this helps
  19. i do agree the GL is one good looking truck.
  20. go into the voice command volume settings and click on the adaptive link. This will turn off the drivers speakers when a guidance is given. or you can just turn the volume knob manually/push the steering wheel button
  21. i found the squeaking in the bac was caused my the middle seat back rubbing against the right seat since that is the fold down section. i just put it down, used some water (because conditioning could make it worse, makes it more slippery) and just cleaned the contact area. It stopped squeaking after that.
  22. i didnt log in for 12 hours and were 3 pages ahead. im not even going to go back and look. lol sweet --> hyper
