  1. fine. ill bring out my first hand experience. 1994 C280. last benz owned up to date.
  2. im just saying which model "competes" with which. IS vs. C class ES vs. C class GS vs. E class LS vs S class the GS430 cant compete with the E550, your right. Which is why the GS460 is coming out this year.
  3. LOL expert in this department are we. picture ready and all... ;)
  4. well...thats because the ES350 doesnt really go against the E350. You need a GS to take care of that. But the ES should have been quicker than the benz. keep in mind this is 1 model out of their 20 plus models they have in production. So really, the S class which is their flagship wont be a good measurement of their base C class.
  5. i have to admit but i didnt even click on the link...now im interested, one second 3 minutes later LOL some cheap Paris lookalike. songs kinda catchy though, haha
  6. lol not that driving feel BS again. haha. Thats really the only argument used against Lexus in all car comparisons. Screw the feel that only 10% of the population can really tell the difference. anywhoo... Ive gotten a NAVed RX350 before...it was da bomb. Didnt want to give it back after getting used to the bluetooth.
  7. errr so cheap DAM lol without an N. that makes it a very bad word haha
  8. i must be doing something right as President of the PR LOC :D THe forum seems to be "waking up"
  9. lottery...still wishing. at least i get those mega numbers, haha
  10. Vacuum cleaner: i vouch for Dyson as well. I bought the Yellow one for $430 cause i dont have pets. Really, i never knew how much junk was on my carpets... Refrigerator: I just bought the Kenmore Elite Trio (with the french doors) for $2300. So far so good. I love the pull out freezer drawer. LG makes good ones too now... Stoves: go with Viking always Washer/Dryer: I hear good things from Kenmore and LG if you just go to sears.com you can read reviews from people who have bought the product. Might be good enough instead of searching for consumer reports.
  11. i think everyone can agree that 10K is a lot of money for anyone. ...but if you figure out the additional options on the RX like the ones i mentioned. You should figure that Nav and ML is another $2,500. Adaptive lights bi xenon, about $500. read wood trim, X amount etc etc. Your seeing at maybe an additional 5K more than the Hyundai. That 5K is the Price of the lexus badge.
  12. the tilting is standard on all lexus models regardless of package i think. Keep it on Left or Right and not the center (we are talking about the buttons for setting your side mirrors) benz is right about the folding mirrors. Not available in the US. Only Japan and Euro models have these because they usually part in tight spaces.
  13. Congratz and welcome to the forum 1) If you leave with the car on, a buzzer will ring telling you the key is out of range. the car however, WILL NOT shut off and someone can drive it elsewhere. However, when they turn off the car by pushing the start button, they will not be able to turn it on. 2) Rumor has it that if the key is a certain X number of feet away for a long time, it will lock. However, i think its just a rumor and i dont think there is this option. Check out your online at lexus.com Owners section for the list of Personalizable options for you. 3) Honestly, you will get like 3 horses from the intake and another maybe 2 from the exhaust. lol 4) Somebody mentioend this. In your phonebook, check if you phone numbers have a 1 in front of the area code. You have to enter phone numbers in the car phonebook with 1(XXX)-xxx-xxxx so that it can recognize it. Hope this helps.
  14. i would also add one small thing to my above post. The new RX will be out next year and im sure it will kick Hyundai's !Removed!. lol. It will be 10 times better than the veracruz. Honestly, i dont think ive seen a single Veracruz on the streets yet...not sure if its even out yet i guess. So wouldnt it suck if the car didnt sell well? and Hyundai put all this engineering in, into its RX, oops I meant Veracruz? The company is on a very fragile state. They are taking big risks. oh btw, it was a big mistake for Lexus to move the RX production here to Canada. Big mistake. A lot of people appreciate japanese made vehicles.
  15. the nav on the Hyundais are ariving end of this year...complete with back-up camera. lol We had this discussion already in the general discussions area. I dont know what to think about Hyundai. A part of me says "bring it on" cause i dont think they will really be that popular. Ther other part of me is furious that people even would consider that car over a lexus. lol. But then the story goes that Lexus was once in that position so anything can happen. Check out this "biased" article from motor trend: Veracruz against RX350. Veracruz won. However, it is biased in my opinion. 1) editors admit that Veracruz is NOT on the same level in fit and finish, quietness, does not have real wood trim, no nav, worse braking distance, weaker performance wise (except through schlalom sp?) 2) they "overlook" the poor braking distance of 5 feet more than the RX from 60-0 for some reason, giving them some slack. so the only real difference here is the 3rd row seat, and perhaps a little better handling. Oh and the major component. The Price, which btw, they mention is only a 10K difference. But for that 10K you get the ML system, the NAV, the backup camera, real wood trim, adaptive lights etc. So really the price difference isnt all that far away...no reason to buy the Hyundai. Reliability is a subject that we will have to investigate later. http://hyundaimotors.com/images/asset_uplo...le728_15692.pdf
  16. you should click on INFO or something and see the "route preview". See if you do eventually get to your house.
  17. agreed its unknown. Usually the changes will include the TSBs that are out there. THey will probably fix common problems, rattles etc.
