  1. on the west coast, fully loaded like mine is stickered at $40,311 which obviously is not the price i got it for, but that's what it's listed at hahaha oh, no chrome rims either... but i like my aluminum alloy rims, but i guess chrome would shine more, right? eh, just makes people want to steal my rims, i'll live without them :D
  2. haha, hey, thatz very true, didn't realize that until you mentioned how they've all been changed, good for them :D
  3. huh, no complaints here, the 03 has this mechanism that will hold smaller drinks, i have the S shifter which is cool, and i prefer having the foot emergency brake because you don't have this ugly looking bar in the middle of your console area haha
  4. ok, found the info! the place that i got my car windows tinted at is called "wintech" and they're based out of costa mesa. their website is www.wintechtinting.com/automotive.htm and if you want to call them, just click on contact us for the phone number. this place is good because they actually do not use a metal based tint. metal based tints have the potential to actually interfere with the integrated radio antenna that's in the rear window, along with the gps navigation receiver that's in the rear window also. there have been cars that have not had this problem, and there have been cars that did have that problem, so it might be kind of based on the car and the manufacturer or quality of tint. the radio is usually ok for fm channels, but i think that it does for sure mess with the am channels. also, wintech uses a tint that has the best lifetime warranty out there. as i've described in other posts about this topic, there is basically a few different types of warranty. one is a very limited in time warranty, which usually covers basic things like bubbling and cracking in the tint. the next best is probably a lifetime warranty against bubbling and cracking in the tint. the one after that is probably a lifetime warranty against bubbling, cracking, and purpling (i'm sure you've seen many a car with that ugly purple tint, they didn't get it like that, but it changes color on you, i wish these people would change their tint haha :chairshot: ) and the best i've seen is a lifetime warranty against bubbling, cracking, purpling, AND fading. fading usually happens with all tints, because the sun is basically gonna wear down the tint, but the tint that wintech uses has a lifetime warranty against that. ok, hope that helps, lemme know how it goes :D
  5. i feel kinda iffy about using glue on the surface of my car... is there a product out there that doesn't use the glue and still works? also, my mom's car has a dent in her bumper (some bleep reversed into her, then took off) so will that professional service that flattens out the dent be able to work on the bumper? for my dent, i don't know if $80 is worth it, but for her bumper, it might be worth it, since it's a pretty medium sized dent. also, where can i find these professional dent removal people?
  6. i use 87 octane, and i get about 23-24 mpg, lot of driving in traffic, but the weekends bump up my average.
  7. ok, i left the info for the window tint at home... i'll let you know as soon as i go find the info
  8. Has anybody ever tried to get out a dent with those dent removal things you find in infomercials these days? There's like three different brands out there that I've seen. I got a dent in my car near my trunk from a softball... I parked the car kind of far from the softball field because I didn't want any homerun balls hitting my car, and of course, when I'm up, I hit the softball opposite field into the parking lot way past the cars parked close and hit my car which is parked pretty much near the end of the parking lot... what luck, eh? but I know that trying to take it in to the dealership or something will cost a lot, so I was wondering if anybody had tried to use the dent removal with any success?
  9. i never had this problem before on my other car, which was a jeep grand cherokee, but i got my front windshield chipped!!!! :chairshot: argh, itz so annoying, but itz just a chip, no cracking as of yet. i heard from a friend that if your windshield starts cracking, just take a razor blade and make a small x at the end of the crack, and the window will stop cracking. is there a cheap way to repair a chip in your windshield?
  10. so for the 02-03, where's the main powerband rpm located?
  11. where exactly in so cal, which county? the place i got my windows tinted, they service orange county only. actually, to be more specific, these guys actually drive out to your place to do the window tinting, so if you're just at home or at work, they'll be doing it while you get to just chill. So if you're anywhere else and you drive over to their shop to get your windows tinted, they'll do it for you haha :P i found two places that are really popular, the place i did it at and another place in la county, so if you let me know where you live, i can refer you to the right one. and if you're down in san diego... hahaha sorry, i wouldn't know anywhere in san diego :P
  12. i've hit 130 in my car, would've kept going up to 140 except i was approaching a group of cars ahead of me fast, and since it was at night, i didn't want to end up speeding by a cop at that speed, hahaha :P
  13. it definitely doesn't look as awesome as it would've if i had put it just straight 20s or 35s, but thatz just during the day. at night, you can't distinguish the variance in tint. itz seriously a dilemma though. the 35s aren't dark enough, especially for the back, but the 20s are too dark for the front.
  14. all i know is that i got everything listed, includin avs and blah blah blah :P
  15. eww, i don't really like that transition from silver into black thing... in terms of tint, i have a non reflective tint because it doesn't catch the eye as much as a reflective tint does. that way, hopefully my front window tints won't catch the cop's eye. i have 20 percent on my backs, and 35 percent on my fronts. so far, haven't been pulled over, but whatever tint you have on the front, during the day, it's usually not gonna get you noticed much by the cops, but during the night, any tint will look really really dark (this comes from a cop who's a friend) and so during the night, it won't matter what percent tint you have on the front, you're more likely to get pulled over. however, during the day, a lighter tint won't really get you noticed much, unless the cop is having a bad day or is just bored and wants to be nitpicky... :chairshot:
  16. damn, i feel bad now for not taking care of my car... my car's always dirty, which i can't help cuz i live in la, and ya'll know about the la smog we got here... i wash it when i have time, which is rarely... itz kinda hard to wash cars when itz dark outside :P but i keep the inside clean, and when i wash, i make sure it shines, so that i can totally use my car as a mirror B)
  17. oh yea, thanx for the info :D but eh, not really interested in that license...
  18. eh, if i wanted a manual, i probably would've gone with the is, but it was all about comfort while sitting in traffic, and itz hard to get comfortable having to constantly shift in traffic ;)
  19. i don't think i'm crazy, so i must be rich hahahahaha
  20. my friend's mom drives a es 250, but i can't tell the difference between that and a camry from the same time. i personally don't think that itz worth it... although the car will probably still give you quite a few years...
  21. actually, k-mart filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy, which basically means they're just restructuring their debt, so technically, they are still in business. there's still a lot of k-marts open in so cal.
  22. i'm in so cal too, but i use my heated seats in the morning, usually during winter, itz nice drivin to work with my butt being all toasty
  23. oh, maybe i should do that too then :)
