  1. yep +45 is fine. spacers on +35 will be bad with this car.
  2. You can buy oem or oem spec replacements easily enough from the dealer or parts wholesaler/distributor. You should do all at the same time or at least both fronts/backs at the same time. 100,000 miles is a good life expectancy for springs and struts. Some last a little longer some last a little (or a lot) less.
  3. 5-30 is fine. 10-30 will work if you find you are losing oil too fast for your taste. The gasket you ask about is the drain plug gasket. They don't need changing every time - though that is not a bad idea. I change mine when they show wear.
  4. They will fit. but those offsets are high. SC3/4 runs +50 oem. They might rub somewhere and the handling will be affected.
  5. I think I've seen the pic before. There's a yellow and a white one that look identical, and if I remember correctly, they're both Auto-Couture. As for where to find it... Um, Japan. I don't even think Taka carries Auto-Couture. I don't know off hand. ...I wonder if an Airliner company would consider a body kit, carry on luggage ;) ← Steve Ganz - Carson Toyota/L-tuned - Tell him I sent ya. He can get AC stuffs. How long are you willing to wait (?) is the question. Taka only offers his Vertex stuff. He might get you some AC stuff if you are nice and he's bored or something. Sadistic, not Delta. They'll charge you two first class tickets. Hmmm....
  6. Intellexual.net = < you trickeee JIC or Auto Couture er if I remember. Save the image or find it cached and do an image link from there if you want to post it. Stay tuned for kit ideas. You can mix and match but it usually looks better with one quality set-up from one quality manufacturer, wich is a lot harder to find than it is to say that.
  7. Props to ya. Welcome to the club. Glad you found assistance.
  8. Fuel pump ecu. Good luck. Try the 12v test. It should be linked in one of the old fuel pump ecu threads.
  9. I went with a shop out of North Carolina called R and D motorsports. They hooked me up nice on some forged face 3 piece custom wheels. I'm waiting until they get here to show what I got. Also got a deal on 6 tires. 4 18" staggered set yoko avs and 2 bfg et streets in 17/275. Ask for David and tell him I sent ya. They have WORK, Veilside, Volk, and all the tops. You can also try Steve Ganz at L-tuned. Great service and pricing. Tell him I sent ya.
  10. They will work if they are bolt patter 5x114.3mm and offset anywhere from +38 to +50. I don't know what those wheels are as they are set-up. You could always get a similar looking set with lip sized to your specs. 18 up front and 19 in back staggered with the correct or application specific offset and clearance.
  11. Sounds like your prospective SC could be a problem. With a salvage title and airbags deployed, I would look for another one. AS far as trusting an SC3 or 4 for the long haul. No problem. As long as it is taken care of. At higher mileage, there are always issues to take care of. But the cars last better than any other I know of.
  12. thanks for the support fella's. I'll see how far this set-up will go and then step up.
  13. The full 1/4 is an hour and a half away. I know I'd pull a better time out running a full pull. But I can't say for sure what it would be. I will hit one though eventually. I'll have batteries in the camera next time.
  14. 10-12 I know the 60 will come down with slicks. I can also run up to 8 more pounds if I can find some c16 or something.
  15. 1/8 mile time - I think I can hit 8. BFG's in the mail. Need to fix rear main seal first. Eh.
  16. Sounds like another way to help people not think. It's simple math. They can do it however they want though I guess.
  17. Looks broken. Or there is some sort of panel there that pops off that is now missing. Never looked that close or noticed before. Great price by the way.
  18. Valve cover gasket is a whole different story. Makes sense. No big deal there. Completely different that head gasket. Sounds like a great deal.
  19. That sounds like an immaculate car. Why are you concerned about no history before 32k? That means nothing happened. That is good. Why are they replacing the head gasket? That is very weird. Should not be necessary unless something is wrong with it. Power steering pump is understandable. Brakes is understandable. Head gasket is very confusing. Otherwise, I'd be all over it. Frankly, I'd tell him to forget the head gasket job and knock 3 grand off the sale price. Unless they have a compression test that shows inadequate compression.
  20. It's a Chrysler. The only d-star car I owned (my first one) was recalled 4 times and the engine failed at 40,000 miles. A 1995 neon bought new. Why is Chrysler #1 in initial quality? Because initially, it's a great car. Until you drive it 3 months. It looks good. You get what you pay for. Any new car drops 30% the moment it goes off the lot. I prefer cars with a long track record for reliability. It looks good. The 300C is a car I would lease. If I even had the clams for that. This car is nowhere near twice an LS430. You get what you pay for. Unless you're buying a Mercedes or BMW. Then you don't. I could generalize that to all German cars, but Porsche has managed to maintain their build quality record.
  21. Maybe not the best idea without a switch and relay. The battery could drain easily if the radar is left on to say the least. Depending on where you want to locate the unit, find a nearby switched 12volt source (like from your lighter - you can splice off the leads). Then ground to chassis or splice in off the existing ground. That is how I power the k40. I run the laser supply off the swtiched source from the fuse box in the kick panel of equivalent amperage - instant on. I run the radar power source off of the cigarette positive to the controller and I control by switch and pot, volume, on/off and intensity.
  22. Ceramic turbine wheels... there you have it. Ouch. One case where the exports were better.
  23. Where did you find that post? 200 mph is unlikely. The restrictors are electronic in nature. The only way to remove them is to use a custom computer. In japan, those pesky auto manufacturers have been known to use something as simple as a bolt under the accelerator pedal. That is a restrictor and probably easy to remove unless the shank is bent. Then a cut off wheel will do the job. As far as exhaust, anything from some aggressive cans to a complete header back system. Don't know of any headers for the 3uz. Not to say they don't exist but I imaging the install would most likely involve pulling the motor out. Maybe not. Complete emissions control elimination. Not cheap. Tires? Wow. Falken, Yokohama, Sumitomo, Kumho, Dunlop, BF Goodrich, - what tires do you want and how much do you want to pay?
