  1. The newer the car, the more info it records. It's not going to be anything major. Drive smart and it's no problem. It's clearly obvious when cars are destroyed that someone was going a little too fast.
  2. It's the same thing as your ecu. It's all the same kit and caboodle. In 1994, the info is not anything to really worry about.
  3. Contact Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota... Steve Ganz -CarsonToyota/Lexus Parts -TRD/L-Tuned/TTE/RMM/Brembo -TOM'S Racing/L-Sportline/TEIN -gonzo4u@earthlink.net -1-800-908-6968 Tell him I sent you.
  4. Looks good. The compressor sides look identical. I'll have to check the hot side a/r now. I see yours is .78 - unless mine is .74 - possible...
  5. I might be interested in that... post up a link or some info...
  6. Turbo's back from overhaul... It's a CT26, t04e compressor, 54mm wheel, ptrim, 62mm hot wheel clipped 12 degrees, .5 a/r... fixed a problem with gating.... we'll see how it does...
  7. #1 complaint on those my man... they wear out too fast... many people put regular radials in their place...
  8. I've not seen a car better put together... electrical connectors break, pads wear, bushings/joints, suspension... replace it... it will be the best car you've ever had...
  9. I think I'll be using this powder coat in places...
  10. Anyone know how to put this thing back together?
  11. I just can't get over this title. I'm surprised no women have said anything. Don't get me wrong. The SC is the most elegant vehicle I have ever crossed... That said, a woman is much more elegant and graceful by every means... When it comes to shredding pavement. SC, hands down...
  12. Never seen that... just took mine apart tonight... not so hard.. It is possible this little check valve at the bottom is not working correctly. It controls the fluid assist by a vacuum controled valve. Anyways, it could be not working correctly or there is also an oring at the compression fitten there for that high pressure line that the check valve feeds. There is also an o-ring at the rez can bottom. Those could be replaced if you take it apart yourself and get new ones. Otherwise the gasket of the pump body is bad (possible but unlikely). There is then the seal at the pulley shaft. Best exhange it by core at one of these car parts websites then. I may have an extra good pump. I need to test it. It will need a pulley if I get rid of it. But if it's good, I'll let if go for a fair price.
  13. Newton speaks... What's heavier? A pound of lead? Or a pound of feathers? or can one fall up?
  14. As far as I know, I've never heard a Lexus tech say they saw one fail... most people take care of them. I've heard people mention very high miles of the original timing belts - like 2ook+ I think the book says every 80k... I try to stay around that range, I look at the belt a bit here and there too..
  15. It would work. 7m is a good motor if it is worked right. Headgasket issues are easily taken care of with better studs and a little more torque. But, I would not put one in the SC. You could rebuild your 2jz and turbo it big. Or turbo it now provided everything else is in working order. Best engine ever...
  16. turbo kit is cheaper than G35. I can't lose to a g35 or 350z - yet. Never met a turbo one yet though... There is a '04 chevy SS running 8 pounds around here somewhere that makes me a little nervous... 02 mustang at 12 pounds... '68 454 camaro... that's the competition... I'd be very surprised to see a stock 350z run 13.8 seconds in the 1/4.
  17. Maybe... one mans garabage is another mans gold... Back to topic... anyone recommend a good company with fast turnaround on trubo overhaul? What a major PITA the egr modulator is. Yea, that won't happen again. EGR bypass will be installed. All that is coming off.. anyone wanna buy it? I've got my work cut out for me...
