  1. So what do you figure? Depends....auto or stick? Please inform me on the base crank hp specs. I think the question was for IS250 RWD Manual. Factory quoted HP is 204 @ 6,400 RPM.
  2. The amount you pay over the life of the lease depends on how much discount you can get on the price of the car, the interest rate, the residual value of the car at lease end plus any fees involved. To get the total amount you pay down where you want it, you'll have to negotiate a lower car price, and or a lower interest rate. You might play with the numbers using a lease calculator and figure out what kind of deal you need to meet your requirements. http://www.calculator.com/pantaserv/lease.calc
  3. would this mean the 250 gets around 160whp? Probably closer to 180. You can usually estimate the whp as a percentage of the flywheel hp. A manual trans will also have less loss than an automatic. Using the 306 quoted hp for the IS350, it works out to about 85% retained power at the wheels.
  4. Several owners had their Dunlops replaced due to pulling from conicity. I know of one who got REO50 and he thinks they have a better ride than the Dunlops.
  5. Potenza RE 050 225/40r18 (front) 255/40r18 (rear) Mine came with the Dunlops. I haven't noticed the ride being uncomfortable or unusually harsh, but then I was driving a IS300 before. It may depend on what you were used to before. Actually I find the ride quite good, but nicely snubbed when it needs to be.
  6. Don't know if this works for yours, but it's for the IS models. Found it in the manual under "oil change".
  7. Probably a bad oxygen sensor. The problem should clear up if they replace it.
  8. There are all kinds of stories floating around pertaining to erroneous info that people got from uninformed salesmen. So don't be going off on car preferences and availabiltiy until you have confirmed what you've been told. Try going to http://www.lexus.com/lexusConfigApp/index....mp;modelCode=95 Look at the selections and to the far right you will see "IS250 RWD Manual". Click on that and "build your own IS250 manual". Its there on the Lexus website. If they aren't making them, then take it up with Lexus, and don't be coming around here badmouthing other drivers or Lexus until you know for sure. I've been driving for 50 years and can drive just about anything you want to throw at me, but I prefer auto trans, and have been driving them mostly for the last 20 years. "Housewives," ey??? I'm a housewife and a full-time worker. I prefer stick. And like Bartkat, I can drive anything you throw at me ;) :D :D :D :D

  10. I haven't personally tried them, but I think you'll like the Hotchkis. :D
  11. I think there's a complete test of different sway bars on tirerack. Some of the guys on my.is like them. http://my.is/store/customer/product.php?pr...t=22&page=1
  12. Talk to Graham Wright at Lexus of Huntsville 256-824-8050 He might be able to look into it for you.
  13. I think the rear size depends on what you have in the front. Might have to change both to get a good setup. Hotchkis has 32mm front and 19mm rear. http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/suspens...&perfCode=S
  14. If you're going to be driving in snow and don't switch to dedicated snow tires in winter, then I'd suggest staying with all season tires. Summer tires on a IS300 just don't do well in snow. If that's the case you'd be better to stay with the Dunlop SP Sport 5000. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...;speed_rating=Z
  15. Sounds like you're pretty much stuck. I'd try and find another brand with similar diameter, install it and forget about Stillen.
  16. Rumors have it the LF-A will have 600 hp and a twin turbo V8, Due out in 2009. IMHO the TT V8 is the way to go. B) Yesterday at the introduction the man said it's a V10. http://www.rpmdaily.com/lexus_is_naias.wmv
  17. A local shop ought to be able to guage the threads for you.
  18. See topic that you already started that includes this info. If you have anything new please post it there. Thanks http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...=34437&st=0
