  1. Sounds like the typical resistor that fools the ECU into thinking the intake air temp is cooler, supposedly improving performance.
  2. All we got is tornado and flood warnings overnight.
  3. I took everything but the L off my IS300. I think it looks clean.
  4. I like mine shiney. Every time I have used cleaner and stuff on a leather wheel cover, it feels tacky for a while afterwards. :D
  5. Do you have rental coverage with your auto insurance?
  6. What does it sound like?
  7. Drive shaft I'll bet. Can be balanced by attaching a radiator hose clamp, then test, and move the clamp around until the vibration is minmized. The screw of the clamp acts as a weight. Had this done on a coupld of vehicles and it worked.
  8. I'm not sure, but I've heard that people who consistently use chatroom language can actually drop back a level.
  9. :D
  10. Spectral shifting.

  12. An attosecond is one quintillionth (10-18) of a second
  13. Yep.
  14. where do i buy this bulb and how much does it cost? if its not that exspensive i can get one to match the old one for now and later buy a new later to match the bulb i just bought. is that a plausible scenario? ← I got mine from the guy who has this ad on Ebay. Don't know if he'll sell just one, but the price is ok. I got two because I wanted a slightly higher K without going too blue. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-New-PHILI...995593359QQrdZ1
  15. Philips makes a replacement bulb that's about 4900 ct so it will match an old bulb and you don't have to replace both.
  16. 2005 IS300 MSRP: $29,735 - $31,105 ← yea, but the 2006 IS250 is around $37000 and IS350 $45000 loaded... ← I gave the base prices. For comparison purposes, one should also use the new IS base prices. I think the IS250 price will compare favorably with a similarly equipped IS300. Of course the 350 will be higher as it should be considered the "high performance" version.
  17. Three RX400H for sale used within 300 miles of me on Auto Trader $52,500 Highest price $47,500 Lowest price
  18. According to Edmunds.com, $22,000 is full dealer retail for a 2000 LS. They ought to come off of that some, if they really want to sell. I don't know anybody that pays full sticker price for any car.
  19. Hadn't seen that article. Thanks.
  20. 2005 IS300 MSRP: $29,735 - $31,105
  21. Since the IS 250 is a new design for motor and body, and AWD is also new to the line, there's no way to really know. Based on my experience with a 2002 IS300, 37,000 miles and owned it 2.5 years, really reliable. I've had zero problems with mine. The first model year there were some problems, but nothing serious enough to regret, from what I hear. Of course the IS300 is based on the Japanese Altezza, which already had a couple of years before they started making the US version. Lexus, overall has a much better reliability than Mercedes over the last 3 or 4 years for sure.
  22. i think it means s**t out of luck? not 100% sure though LOL ← That's right. :D
  23. i think for "directionals" they are illegal in most/all states. blue DRL's and headlights are perfectly fine as long as they illuminate the road. ← Not around here. No blue lights at all on the front of any vehicle. ← Not even xenon's more than 8500K ? That's weird.. ← Blue like in the pic in question. You'll see some high color temp HID's but not blue blue, like blue parking lights or even blue LED washer nozzles. LOL
