It's more like 600 miles for the break in. Check the manual or check the owners manual posted at the top of this forum.

Somehow I don't understand how wheelspin past launch is going to help performance.

I velcroed mine to the dash just to the right of the center speaker and the cord runs down to the right of the center stack and then across a little to the cig lighter socket. It stays completely out of the way and seems to work fine.

You have to pry off the black plastic button first.

Could be the emergency brake is stuck.

No. That's a little servo motor sound.

This is the upgraded cup holder insert from 2003 http://my.is/store/customer/product.php?pr...8&cat=14&page=1 It works pretty well except you still get some interference with really big cups on account of the little door doesn't swing entirely out of the way.

I use RainX and it works great. I find RainX to cut the life of my wiper blades in half. Chemical reaction....I don't know. I am trying Aquapel on the next warm day. I too had to have my windshield replaced two years ago. The replacement was Pilkington, and no problems whatsoever. steviej I've been using Aquapel for about 3 years now and I think it's the greatest thing since whatever. You really notice it when you get up to above 40-50 MPH. I've been through some heavy storms where people were pulling off the road and stopping, and I could still see ok to drive.

I've heard a sound that sounds like a pebble hitting the car. I've heard it maybe 5 times and always when I've been sitting in the car, parked, like at the grocery store for maybe half an hour. Sounds like the dash or maybe the roof.

There's not that much power to gain. It wouldn't be practical or economical.

Right. A full size spare tire is standard on the 02. Probably can find a tire and wheel or at least a wheel on Ebay.

I was gonna shop around for one, but haven't got it done yet. One guy measured the tool, and maybe one could be found at a discount parts store.

Personally I'd go with the premium package. I have the standard sound system and it's plenty good for most people. I'd have got the ventilated seats had they been available when I bought my IS350.

New IS has only been out for 6 months. All the engines make the same sound as explained above by Rx330driver.
