  1. Sorry, don't know the area so cannot recommend a dealership. However, it may be worth going back to the dealer and stating your displeasure with them and see if that raises the bar slightly and even gets you a discount? Worth a try I suppose
  2. A higher degree of F. The Track Edition joins the standard Lexus RC F performance coupe which has been extensively updated for the 2020 model year.
  3. Crafted to simultaneously take your breath away and provide a breath of fresh air. This is the #LexusLC like you've never seen it before.
  4. That's unusual for any Lexus to be less than 'top of the tree'....maybe they had build issues that year
  5. Usually when the resistor pack fails it defaults to running at full speed (due to no resistance) It sounds like a blockage somewhere....maybe remove the cabin filter to see if the air flows more freely and then refit or replace
  6. definitely sounds like a loose connection. You could try tapping/lightly banging areas of the dashboard or switchgear until it lights up then at least you'll know the rough area it may have a loose connection
  7. I always apply some PTFE tape (plumbers use it for pipe joints) to the sump plug thread....never had a leak on anything ever since. This originally came about when I owned a Land Cruiser and the Toyota dealer asked whether I wanted the soft or hard compound seal for the plug. I foolishly chose the hard compound and leaked like a sieve. Someone suggested removing it and wrapping a couple of turns with PTFE and it worked a treat...nowadays I use it all the time on the 'belt & braces' principle.
  8. The 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition turns hot laps all day…and heads all night. Tune-in to watch live from #NAIAS on Jan. 14 @ 1:10 PM EST: ...
  9. Have you checked that the plastic casing/cap on the filter housing aren't cracked?
  10. Hi, I would take it to an auto electrical specialist to diagnose the fault....it could be a damaged alternator from dropping an earth...e.g. losing a phase, diode's damaged, etc. Also, the battery could be old enough to not retain a charge and therefore the alternator is not able to provide the full current required. Check also any other wiring (especially earth points) where there could still be some damage which is undiscovered. Otherwise, it seems that you are going in the right direction and it is now just a case of fettling the faults that remain. Let us know how you get on with it all

  22. 1000 rpm is way too high for an automatic transmission to shift....should be around 800 rpm. There is no way an engine should shake....it sounds like a vacuum line has failed and is drawing air. I would take it to a reputable independent garage who is 'old school' and knows engines from experience...they should be able to sort it fairly cheap and quickly
  23. This is the explanation for Code 71 EGR system circuit fault (for ES300; GS300 & SC300 models) You could try tapping the EGR valve with a screwdriver handle and see if you can then start the engine.....sometimes dislodges the blockage
  24. Hopefully it will be a good outcome for you...fingers crossed
