  3. 1000 rpm is way too high for an automatic transmission to shift....should be around 800 rpm. There is no way an engine should shake....it sounds like a vacuum line has failed and is drawing air. I would take it to a reputable independent garage who is 'old school' and knows engines from experience...they should be able to sort it fairly cheap and quickly
  4. This is the explanation for Code 71 EGR system circuit fault (for ES300; GS300 & SC300 models) You could try tapping the EGR valve with a screwdriver handle and see if you can then start the engine.....sometimes dislodges the blockage
  5. Hopefully it will be a good outcome for you...fingers crossed
  6. sounds like the engine idle revs are too high....would be less impact changing gears if at lower revs.
  7. That is a good result then but the only possibility is that the front (now rear wheels) were carrying an imbalance / defect in the tyre which was noticeable through the steering but not so much now that the wheels/tyres are on the rear of the vehicle. See how it goes and it still there after some time then I would take it to a tyre specialist who can perform correct wheel balancing to dial out any imbalance.
  8. sounds like a static imbalance on the driveshafts but would be difficult to balance dynamically. In the good old days, we would place a jubilee clip / banjo clip around the driveshaft and move it around the circumference small amounts until you dialled out the imbalance and then leave in place....worked every time. Although in your case you would want the driveshaft replaced for a new one. It could also be transmission or brake rotors that have the static imbalance in them
  9. following on from what Lenore has stated, in answer to your question....I would carry out a full alignment after the suspension components have been replaced.
  10. Hi Kenny I have never encountered water naturally occurring in tyres without introducing it somehow. Water in the compressor, if it hasn't been drained down, is the only possible reason. Maybe Nitrogen is the way forward in this situation Let us know how it all goes Cheers, Trevor
  11. Hi Wayne I can only imagine it is a problem with one of the door lock switches, not sensing the closure of the door and kicking out the system. Try opening the doors one by one and seeing if the interior is being switched on and then going out after a period.
  12. only other possibility could be a wheel / hub bearing which could explain the noise when turning left and any excessive play can trigger the ABS light.
  13. Hi Austin....good to have you back in the Lexus fold. She certainly looks the part....nice choice of colour in my opinion. Thanks for sharing the pics with us Cheers, Trevor

  16. would suggest replacing the fluid and filter to see if that changes anything...definitely the cheapest option by far
  17. Sounds like the diverter flap isn't working .... maybe keep cycling it to blow in different directions and see if it starts to work, if not then it could be a disassembly job to fix
  18. Hi Mark Can I ask what grade of oil you are using? There is a possibility that the sensor could be defective but a manual check of the oil level would confirm this.
  19. Hi Alan There is a separate temperature SENDER unit which is different to the temperature SENSOR. Usually located around the thermostat housing area to get a true reading from the engine. Maybe worth visually tracking over your work to see if it has been left unplugged (single wire terminal)
  20. And to you and yours lenore .... have a good one!
