Old Gps Data To New Lexus
UCF3 replied to joeslexus's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
I don't believe you can. It maybe designed to handle one-way traffic (phone to HD). Don't know if anyone else has tried this before, I haven't tried it myself, but you could see if your iPAD or Droid can pickup the cars' hard-drive. If it does you could search for the address book file. Let us know if you're successful. -
It looks like pre-owned or a knock-off are the only options. some dealers might still hav them.

Wow. Too bad you weren't selling the truck back in October. I might have made you an offer before buying the Subi if the rust wasn't as bad. Do you mind if i ask how much Don Beyers gave you for the Toyota?

Bought A 2012 Is-F - Got Questions
UCF3 replied to Ti-mo's topic in 07 - 13 Lexus IS250 / IS350 / IS-F
Hi Ti-mo: Welcome to the club. Regarding your questions above. I believe the Mark Levinson Stereo is pretty nice and classical music sounds quite well through the speakers. They may not sound the same as the Bose in the Audis but there is plenty of clarity. Bach and Mozart sounds okay, and Tchaikovsky sounds really good. American Jazz sounds really good on the ML. Regarding the IS-F wheels, I generally don't recommend using 20" wheels for snow driving; too much contact, but you are limited because of the Big Brake Package, which is the reason why I own a Subaru. I would recommend something cheap during winter. ISS Forged Wheels look very good on this car. Regarding the suspension setup between the 08s and 12s, couldn't really say since i haven't driven the new ones yet. Unlike the M3s the shocks do not adjust so it will be a harsh ride during Normal and Sport modes. I though they did too, but only the throttle response time and the gears shifting are the only noticeable differences. The coloured jeans issue, haven't really heard anything about that before, but I don't have a tan interior. I love the leather, soft, but I am not a particular fan of the tight front seats. They hold you very well but since the car is so small it's a bit tight for me. I would be cautious with the white; keeping it clean would be my biggest challenge. As far as the Lexus warranty it's pretty well suited for a semi-race car with a slightly-light-rear-end. The limited slip will throttle down the engine whenever it's needed in normal mode and sometime in sport-mode. I have noticed extensive use of the sport-mode and the paddles can smell up the interior with that clutch burning smell. Lexus does not recommend modifying the car in any way or form unless you're using F-Sport products. I haven;t really challenged this during the warranty period, but you could opt for an intake and exhaust to give it a louder sound. I would check with the dealer before you try that out. Now regarding the track testing, I am curious to what time you'd get :). I haven't tracked mine yet, but someday I might, and I would have to switch to a larger width wheel and tire on the rear end. Either way, I think you've bought a fabolous car. it's a lot of fun and because I am one of the few in the Washington DC area diving an IS-F I get a lot of challengers. Either way, you will enjoy the car, and let us know what the car does on the track. -
Difference Between Monroe Quick Struts 171 And 271
UCF3 replied to AZ99ES300's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
The 1-series shocks maybe inferior product which is why it's cheaper. It looks like 680 series will fit your car, but I wouldn't recommend it. The ride comfort maybe extremely harsh. Speaking from experience, I swapped out the struts on my old LS with Tokicos a few years back and it felt horrible. You could attempt to find out if Toyota has a replacement strut from the Camry that will fit. -
What's your budget for the rebuild, and nobody has a short-block 1MZFE motor?

Happy New Year Fellas. Definitely looking forward to 2012. All that i know is this Sangria is awesome.

It would depend on if someone reversed the cables. I've heard stories of fried ECUs, batteries, and alternators. It could be anything at this point.

Welcome to the Club. I haven't modified my car to run on 24s but you may not have too many options available to try. The OEM struts are pretty soft and if you're interested in 24s with a low profile tire it may rub against a suspension part. 20" wheels and tires would be my limit with a Coilover suspension. My coilovers are pretty soft compared to my IS-F suspension. Hope that helps.

Excellent. The 2JZZ engine is pretty smooth so there shouldn't be any vibrations. Pull the throttle cable a bit and see if anything else sounds out of place. I hope this fixes the issue. Let us know if there's something else.

It almost sounds like your Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) isn't calibrated. Do you have any codes like #7?
-
It sounds like the Fan-Bracket isn't tightened down. let us know how it goes.
-
Yeah, I see your point. Happy New Year to you too Paul.

I don't know. The ISF is pretty small for a millionaire to ride in. They may still have stretch-limo drive them to jail. I agree it would be a pursuit car, but if you read the article they're replacing Subarus with the ISF.
