  1. That's a lot of miles. If the car isn't a wet-car (snow), and the body of the car has no issues, it maybe worth the $5500 price tag. I'd be concerned about the previous owner. Tuner cars have short lived engines because of mods. Have a good mechanic check the car out, inside and underneath. Lift the car up and check for leaks and worn spots. If you're satisfied, start at $4800 and work up. ** the headlights on the 01 are aftermarket. Not particularly a fan of them since they aren't built well.
  2. You could try adding the LED strip yourself or I've used Clearcorners in the past with my SC300. They do pretty good work, but it looks like he's posted his prices on the website.
  3. Does anyone know if there is a mileage warranty restriction to the CSP?
  4. Thanks. It's very helpful.and I'm going to be talking to my local Lexus dealer shortly. Since you've had this issue done, does your car rough idle in cold conditions still or has that stopped as well?
  5. Is this for the owners manual or the Service manual? I believe the owners manual can be requested from Lexus.com.
  6. Interesting. Someone mentioned the dealer replaced the piston rings to stop it from reoccurring..
  7. YIKES!!! You might not be the only one looking for all-weather rubber mats. Have you thought about the WeatherTech stuff before? I found a AWD in grey for just under $200 w/ free shipping. I'm thinking about getting a set this week.
  8. That doesn't sound right. are you sure the speaker level for the NAV isn't so low that you can't hear it. Go into your nav setting and look for sound on/off and up or down arrows.
  9. I have some electronic issues and slow accelaration problems but over all a very nice looking car.
  10. It almost sounds like my GS300. How many miles are on your GS? it could be a lot of things at this point. have you replaced your spark plugs and wires?
  11. I noticed they were using Amsoil motor oil. I wonder if non-synthetic oil is the issue. Has anybody experiencing this issue with Synthetic? I have synthetic in my GS now and I've noticed it's taking a while to warm-up fully. I haven't checked the dip-stick but i'll be doing that when i get off the train tonight.
  12. Either the GS430 or the 460 should do the trick. Buy a lower mileage if you're putting a lot of miles on the car, otherwise you might have a hard time selling it at a decent price. As for the iPhone connector I don't think the car comes with the interface but the 08 and later should come with an AUX jack. There are a couple of vendors that offer latch-on interfaces for your stereo. That will probably be your best bet if it doesn't come equipped.
  13. A friend of mine sent me pictures of the new Range Rover. Looks good.
  14. I prefer the design and the seats of the LS430 personally, but they really haven't changed much since 98. Still bouncy!! As for buying one when I was looking to buy an LS430 over the summer found a few of them for less than $15k with around 100,000 on the ODO based on where I am. In CA the 04 LS430 is within a good price range, but it also depends on the optional equipment / luxury package that already on the car. How's the CARFAX?
  15. Same here. I'd stay away. The prices on the F's are coming down a bit, so look to pay around $40k
  16. Amir: Sorry for the late response to your post. So what's the verdict about the F Sport IS250? Yes, the IS F does come in a 5.0 Liter V8 and it's definitely not your typical F-Sport Package IS. I would comsider buying the IS F. Hell of a better car.
  17. Hang-on!!!!! What kind of DRL did you buy? I'm looking at the installation guide to the Phillips DRL kit that doesn't need wire splicing. Install the kit and then pull the DRL fuse. http://www.amazon.com/Philips-12824WLEDX1-DayLight-Powered-Daytime/dp/B005DX6BKW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1350665262&sr=8-2&keywords=phillips+DRL
  18. Welcome to the club Ninajaa. How do you like your ES so far?
  19. Angaadi: Welcome to the club. I'm sure you'll find this community and our love for Lexus vehicles equally exciting as to owning a 97 LS. Just out of curiousity, are you planning to purchase the NorthAmerican/European version Lexus LS400 or are you thinking about the JDM/Asian-market Toyota Celsior. Either one should equite to luxury and performance, and chances are your neighbors will be jealous :)
  20. You could also try looking through Rockauto's website to locate the part.
  21. Did you ever find out what code the check engine light was producing?
  22. Sorry about the delay. I've never used them personally but my friend says Emerald City Automotive in the Air Park area is pretty good. They don't have rental car access but they're an Enterprise not that far away. Their specialty is Mercedes but they've worked on a friends GS430 a number of times and he's satisfied with how they've performed. They've changed shop locations so email me at ucf3loc@netscape.net.
