  1. I wonder if you can cut a small hole in the cover right at the drain pan screw so you can drain and change your oil without having to remove the whole thing? Has anybody did that?
  2. Do you hear the motor when you push the button? Put your ear to the seat when pushing the button. Doesn't it seem like it's an inflatable bladder? Maybe it popped and it needs to be replaced? Maybe it can be patched?
  3. Yeah, I'm looking for the gen 1 ('90 - '94) dash kit as well... I would really like a dash kit with a pocket below the aftermarket stereo to store things. I have a Kenwood flip around face deck that I want to install. I'll be putting in a quality amp with an enclosed box in the trunk ported up into the rear deck area where the stock woofer is. I wonder if the stock tweeters are good enough to keep in there? I know the mid range speakers suck.
  4. I'm old school....Gen 1 over here in Seattle.....
  5. I would go to 18" rims rather than 17". There's not that much of a difference in price. I'm planning to put on the Enkei LM1 18" rims next month. I like the clean look on luxury cars.
  6. She might be too hypnotized by the Lexus Owners Club sticker and sit in the back seat to admire it up close?
  7. That's a good idea to prevent leakage. What size is the copper washer that you used?
  8. Are the "soarers" Japanese SC300 models only? I know that Nissan made a twin turbo 300ZX 2+2 for Japan and Europe only. I've owned 2 - 300ZXs in the past. A convertible and a 2+2. Fun cars. I bet they don't want a TT version in the states because that would take away from the SC400 sales. The inline 6 with turbos would have much more power than the stock V8...
  9. I'm doing the 1st oil change on my LS400 today. I'm putting in synthetic oil. Is there any recommended synthetic that is better than the rest? I'm sure they're all about the same? Right?
  10. Do they stay that close to the window after the sticker is applied? What about when the car is moving? Do you put the girl in the back seat so she can admire the sticker from the flip side? Wow! Nice mod!
  11. Sounds like the computer upgrade on the Supra and maybe the exhaust so far?
  12. How many horseys is the Supra pushing? Do you have pics?
  13. I'm 5'11", 210lbs... Jeez, now that you mention it, the seats are a little short under your legs. After driving it yesterday I noticed that. I haven't drove my car for an extended time yet. I have a company car that I drive most of the time with free gas. Does the seat get uncomfortable after a few hours of continous driving? It seems like the 4-way adjustment should tilt the seat back farther than it does? It's true, I can't get fully comfortable in these seats. I think I could get more comfortable ergonomincally in my 300ZX seat than this Lexus seat. It has a comfortable spring like base under your !Removed! but that seems like it offers very little support if you're driving aggressive?
  14. I like the L-Sportsline for the LS400. How much is it?
  15. How much do you want for the set of 4?
  16. Why is he getting a Supra fender when he's doing this work on a GS400? Is he repairing the Supra so he can sell it?
  17. Have they checked out Lextreme's LS400 TT webpage? They would appreciate that, I know I do.
  18. I had the same thing with my LS400 when I bought it a few months ago. The burning smell is from too much fluid in the tranny and torque converter. The tranny fluid is burning! You need to have as much fluid drained as possible then have it refilled to the correct level. It takes 2-3 drain and refills to get all of the fluid out of the torque converter for a full flush and refill.
  19. I'm looking to put the Enkei LM1 18" chrome or diamond cut rims on my LS400. They're made for luxuruy cars.
  20. Keep us up to date on his project. I'm interested.
  21. Which means the I6 in the SC300 is the same as the one in the Supra. I don't know why more people don't build SC300's into big time sleepers? You can put most of the Supra aftermarket bolt on mods onto the SC300. It should be pretty easy to mount a large turbo onto the engine plus any other mods already made for this engine. The bottom end of this inline 6 is incredibly strong. I think 550Hp with straight bolt on mods on a Supra TT is standard without having to do any major engine work?
  22. My friend told me last night that his Tahoe runs 20% cooler since he switched to synthetic oil last year. Cooler engine = more power.
